Good Friday (Now and before)

Holy friday or Good friday is a Christian holiday Commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary.It is observed during holyweek as part of the Pashal Triduum.It is also known as great friday and black friday (source from wikipedia)

For this article I will share what I oberved the changes of beliefs of the people when it comes to the good friday ,the holy friday.

Holy friday before

When I was a kid,every holy or good friday ,our parents are'nt allowed us to play outside.We used to stay at the house listening to a radio since we don't have television before ,we are listening some dramas that are having many lessons to learned.And listening also the seven last words.We are waiting for the story of Jesus aired in the radio before.

We used to stay at house during this days coz they said that if you can touch round objects ,this will make you having an illness like cyst and if you get wound while playing outside ,it will take a long time to heal it.But when I became matured I realized why our elder told us this,they are just frightened us for us to stay at the house.We called this "ting pugong" means you will not doing anything like some house chores like washing clothes ,cleaning the house and going to work.

Some people will do sacrifices as what Jesus did ,and how he sacrifice himself just to save us.Some people are they are doing what happened to Jesus that being cruxified on the cross.They are doing this coz they wanted to experienced that pain as their sacrifices.

And for us ,we do fasting we don't eat heavy meals on this day ,we only eat the "binignit" this is a Visaya recipe with the ingredients of sweet potato,banana(sab-a)karlang ,sago ,malagkit rice and cooked with coconut milk.As I keep scrolling on facebook ,I saw a lot of post about it ,they preparing binignit for today but for us ,since I was'nt able to withdraw my husband's money ,I was'nt able to prepare and buy for benignit .I will just have to wait if some of our neighbors will give me benignit hahaha.And to my dearest friends here who are living near me ,beke nemen naa moy binignit diha hahaha.

Other things we do as a sacrifices is went to far away chapel ,we went there by just walking for two or more hours,many catholic people do promises to went that chapel every holy friday.I started visiting that Chapel located at Maasin city when I was working here in Bato Leyte,I and my workmates do hiking to reach the top of the mountain where the chapel of St.Fransisco Javier is located.We went there at night and believe me ,a lot of people was there even at night ,some people will bring tent for having a sleep over at the mountain.

But Holy friday now

Lots of christians people was not believing some beliefs of our elders now.Some of them are having a beach party ,a lots of food ,liquior and a loud music which is a very far senario from before.

I was able to stop also visiting the St.Fransisco Javier chapel when I got pregnant until now.I was thinking that there are many things we can do for sacrifices and best thing we do is to learn the word of God ,spread the word of God .

What really important now ,is we should have to know the real meaning of holy friday.On the occasion of good friday,people convey the message of strenght and happiness to each other.

Anyway ,I encourage you to help to save our Earth .I know lots of users here are already writing this topic,we can help by saving and protect the earth by planting some trees in our backyard and if we had a huge lot ,much better were you can plants more trees.We should dispose our garbage properly and never burn them especially those made of plastic.We do the Reused ,Reduce ,Recycle.We will save our planet.

Finally I was having enough of sleep now ,and I am happy to tell you that I feel comfortable and happy.As what I wrote for my yesterday's article about my disapointment ,finally the Gcash credited back our money .As what the gcash response of my email that they're going to credit back the amount with in the 24hours.I am not worrying now for our allowance.
