When Politics Took Over Your System...
I'm on my way to farming topics on Facebook last night as I don't have anything on my mind since there is nothing worth sharing about my day when I stumbled upon a post that made my wish come true. It really did give me a topic to write about today since it triggers my reasoning skills again. Nothing, I'm just practicing to enhance it. I don't want to respond to that post because I know that person and I know that they would make a bigger issue out of it if I opposed it. To play it safe, I'll just share my thoughts here as a response to that post.
For reference, the post goes this way.
"Just imagine... Your parents have enrolled you in a good school to be taught well, you experienced making research (you must know better that facts and history are important), you are given allowances to all of your wants and travels (so you're probably paying tax, right?), then you'll just vote for a tax evader and debates non-attendee? Hmmm... I don't know."
I know this girl who made the post is an avid supporter of Leni Robredo, so I know that this post has a lot of biases. Not that I'm going to defend Bongbong Marcos all throughout this article, but I just want to say my thoughts about this also. Honestly, I'm still undecided on who to vote for this upcoming election. I'm still observing these candidates. We still have a month to go to think this through, so I'll just take my time to think about this properly.
I don't want to make a scene on her post but I really wanted to say, "Back to you!", on her post. She is talking about experiences on making research but most of her shared posts on Facebook are fake news. She saw a post contrary to them, then she believed it immediately and shared it. That's what you called research?
Then she was involving the parents enrolling their children in a good school but still supporting BBM. Why involve the parents? LOL. It's every people's decision. We have our preferences. It's natural to have different choices. The problem with these supporters is they are so fanatical about their candidates that they can't see their candidates' faults anymore but they can see clearly all the mistakes that the other camp does.
These supporters condemn BBM's camp for him being a tax evader but they never listen and accept the supreme court's decision on why didn't BBM go to jail but just paid penalties, why it is not considered as moral turpitude, and why he is evading debates. All they care is to attack BBM with all they got to prove to people that Leni has many good credentials and is not a corrupt politician than him. Hmmm. Maybe, true, but are you really sure about that? What about the Naga Leaks, election cheats, and the CPP-NPA endorsing her?
Sorry to disappoint you, but you can't trust a politician. If you think that one of them is clean, then think again. Politics in the Philippines is dirty, risky, and dangerous ever since. One step opposing your enemies and you're dead.
Most Elites choose to endorse her because of her educational background. She is a lawyer and an economist. Our economy is declining right now and she is our Vice President, but what did she do to help? Free Covid Test Drives, going down on the ground to meet people, housing, cash aides and opposed all of what the President will say and do. If she has that good educational background than BBM, why can't she contribute according to what she has studied for?
I'm sorry if I can offend Leni supporters but this is what I thought about her. If ever a war awakens between China and the Philippines, what can she do for us? I can see that she will be the female version of Zelensky in the future. She depends so much on the mutual treaty between us and the USA. She can't even support the agency that is catching and reforming NPAs.
Don't get me wrong, if I criticized her too much. I'm not a BBM supporter, either. As I have said, I'm still undecided on who to vote. I just can't bear to see negative campaigns wherein people are taken over by the toxicity of dirty politics.
Everybody demands respect if they are butthurt by the arguments of the other camp, but are your words also respectful towards them? Politicians are just mind conditioning people to have hatred for their enemies, so they will be the ones to appear as the victim. Don't get fooled by them. They'll just sugar coat everything they say to have your trust, vote, and support. Don't get swayed and be eaten by the system of politics.
I don't want to talk further anymore. I can already feel the hatred and criticisms that I can get in this article. Anyway, I can accept it as long as it is constructive criticism. Since I'm still undecided, I'm willing to listen if you will try to reason out with me. My comment box is also open to all violent reactions. Just don't report my account. We are all just aiming to earn here. Don't take it too seriously and personally. LOLs.
