Some school related rants yesterday

It is another beautiful Thursday to everyone. Yesterday I spent the rest of my days doing the usual things. Since it was Wednesday, I already anticipated my kids online class so I set up the alarm clock at night in order for me to wake up early. I set it at 7 am, though I know there might be no online class again for my youngest son which is usually begin at 730 in the morning. Their adviser who was supposed to meet them for their English subject always reschedule it by Thursday, however I woke up the moment the alarm clock of my phone started to ring. I hurriedly checked my sons phone for any messages from the teachers and luckily there were no messages at all. Then I remember what my eldest son's adviser told me last week, that this week there will be a limited face to face classes for all level. However, it was only limited to those students who weren't able to attend any online classes at all in short those who can afford the online classes will not attend face to face for the meantime.

Since the kids don't have any classes, I just helped them in answering some of their modules. We are now on the 8th week of quarter 3 which means by next week there might be retrieval fot answer sheets. It makes me panic because I really hate cramming things. To be honest this whole online set up has been such a pain in my a**. I am getting tired of teaching my kids that sometimes I prefer answering it on my own because I don't know if I am teaching the right lessons to my kids which is supposed to be the teachers duty.

That is the very reason why I am in full support of face to face classes because two years is already enough. The kids were not learning at all and let's be honest here, we all know that little children don't solely answers their activities most of it were answered by their parents and guardians. And if ever those students answer it personally they will also rely it on google search for answer and we all know not all the things you read on the net were accurate and true. They actually lacked the interaction with the teachers because of limited one hour meeting to every subject teacher in a week. I am particularly talking about public schools, because in private schools they are obliged to go online, obviously because parents are paying their tuition fees. This makes me realized that, does education needs to be expensive?

I know it isn't because I believe, the school do not matters. No matter how expensive or exclusive your school is if the student is lazy then he/she wouldn't excel anything. I guess it will depends on the learners perseverance to learn new things in terms of academic. With the educators guidance I know everyone will do good and excel in every field they will choose in the future.

I just hope this academic year will be the last time they will implement the online set up, my eldest son is soon to be junior high school and as we all know teachers are more knowledgeable when it comes to teaching, after all it is their profession. They should not rely to parents and students because if it will continue, I am afraid these students will be left behind as well as our country when it comes to education. As our national hero Jose P. Rizal said that the new generation will be the hope of our country, let's make it happen and I believe aside from home these students will be truly nurtured and deserved to go back at school.

Thanks for reading my nonsense rants for today. I just wanted to released my opinion about this whole online classes. In fairness to other teachers, they were doing all the best they can to teach their students, however due to limited time and because not all can attend and afford to go online they choose to have asynchronous classes.

Mejo stressful kasi di ko maharap work ko masyado kasi work from home ako.

Nakakapagod talaga sir, di sya biro, now I know why deserve ng ibang public teachers ang malaking sahod pero sana pati yung sa ibang private schools eh mejo tumaas din kasi halos the same lang yung trabaho nila.

I highly agree ate yhanne.

I deeply understand your rants about teaching and learning process now, kasi it's happening in reality. So now that we already conducted face to face, we're all so happy that we able to teach our students again, hoping na sana magka face to face narin sa lugar niyo. Anyways, i really adore you po for patiently guiding your child though alam kong nakakapagod din po talaga hehe.

Thank you teacher Jen, I am glad that face 2 face is already implemented in your school, in our place it is done limited, only those who cannot attend the online class are prioritized for the in person classes. I hope next academic year it will be for everyone:)

Mas prefer ko talaga Ang face to face Kasi mas observable Ang learnings. Infact alot of research reveals that being in an actual venue of learning makes more sense. Thanks for this wonderful content.

Oo, priorities Ang learnings Ng bata. ,bat Ganon pinapayagan Ang mga rally kaysa face to face. At Dyan parang halo-halo talaga tao.

Iba talaga ung set up pag nasa sa school nag isang bata. Agree ako sa sinabi mo sis. School doesn't matter about the academe and learning of a student because it depend itself to the student on how he help himself to become more competent and knowledgeable about the things taught him. Excelent came from the hardwork of every student .

Di ba sis,gone are the days na kapag graduate ka ng ganitong school eh mataas ang expectation sayo.

$ 0.00
2 years ago

Well as I said iba ang public sa private school. Sa private schools kasi they are using different program that allowed them to teach the kids na parang face to face lang din. They have longer time and interactions while sa public very minimal talaga. I think pag home school parang private tutor din sya because it is a little expensive while sa public walang bayad so no care ibang teachers as long as they get paid, kawawa lalo yung mga can't afford to do online.

Schools need to be opened as teachers know more how to effectively teach their students. Parents also know, but as own child they don't take us that much seriously many times.

$ 0.00
2 years ago

Exactly, you got my point there. Kids don't take seriously the guardians unlike when it comes to teachers they followed immediately and parents knowledge is very limited too, how about the harder lessons that only teachers can teach.

I feel you sis. Today, I just knew that my child is behind for 4 weeks! Kasi pag tinamad yung anak ko at ang partner ko wagas..Tsk..I do sometimes wish matuturuan ko si Bam pero di ko kaya pa for now. I am also hoping for the face to face classes para maging okay na ang anak ko.

2 years ago

Hays kaya yes to face to face!

$ 0.00
2 years ago

Siyempre sis ayoko mababa grades ng anak ko :) Hayy sana maka face to face na ang mga bata para di na stressful tong set up na to.

$ 0.00
2 years ago

$ 0.00
2 years ago

$ 0.00
2 years ago

As in ganun talaga sis. I forward lang yung mga videos tas wala man lang explanation. Grabe naman sana i-explain man lang. Trabaho nila yun kasi sila yung teacher.

$ 0.00

$ 0.00
2 years ago

yes, all parents do not agree if online classes are carried out continuously, because in fact schools do not only get lessons but there are other lessons that can be obtained. such as respect, customs, manners etc. everything is obtained during face-to-face learning. hopefully back to normal.
