Some school related rants yesterday
It is another beautiful Thursday to everyone. Yesterday I spent the rest of my days doing the usual things. Since it was Wednesday, I already anticipated my kids online class so I set up the alarm clock at night in order for me to wake up early. I set it at 7 am, though I know there might be no online class again for my youngest son which is usually begin at 730 in the morning. Their adviser who was supposed to meet them for their English subject always reschedule it by Thursday, however I woke up the moment the alarm clock of my phone started to ring. I hurriedly checked my sons phone for any messages from the teachers and luckily there were no messages at all. Then I remember what my eldest son's adviser told me last week, that this week there will be a limited face to face classes for all level. However, it was only limited to those students who weren't able to attend any online classes at all in short those who can afford the online classes will not attend face to face for the meantime.
Since the kids don't have any classes, I just helped them in answering some of their modules. We are now on the 8th week of quarter 3 which means by next week there might be retrieval fot answer sheets. It makes me panic because I really hate cramming things. To be honest this whole online set up has been such a pain in my a**. I am getting tired of teaching my kids that sometimes I prefer answering it on my own because I don't know if I am teaching the right lessons to my kids which is supposed to be the teachers duty.
That is the very reason why I am in full support of face to face classes because two years is already enough. The kids were not learning at all and let's be honest here, we all know that little children don't solely answers their activities most of it were answered by their parents and guardians. And if ever those students answer it personally they will also rely it on google search for answer and we all know not all the things you read on the net were accurate and true. They actually lacked the interaction with the teachers because of limited one hour meeting to every subject teacher in a week. I am particularly talking about public schools, because in private schools they are obliged to go online, obviously because parents are paying their tuition fees. This makes me realized that, does education needs to be expensive?
I know it isn't because I believe, the school do not matters. No matter how expensive or exclusive your school is if the student is lazy then he/she wouldn't excel anything. I guess it will depends on the learners perseverance to learn new things in terms of academic. With the educators guidance I know everyone will do good and excel in every field they will choose in the future.
I just hope this academic year will be the last time they will implement the online set up, my eldest son is soon to be junior high school and as we all know teachers are more knowledgeable when it comes to teaching, after all it is their profession. They should not rely to parents and students because if it will continue, I am afraid these students will be left behind as well as our country when it comes to education. As our national hero Jose P. Rizal said that the new generation will be the hope of our country, let's make it happen and I believe aside from home these students will be truly nurtured and deserved to go back at school.
Thanks for reading my nonsense rants for today. I just wanted to released my opinion about this whole online classes. In fairness to other teachers, they were doing all the best they can to teach their students, however due to limited time and because not all can attend and afford to go online they choose to have asynchronous classes.

Totally agree sis. learners are not learning at all in this type of setup. Sana mabalik na ang face to face sis.
