$100 spent in less than a day
Hello guys! I am super duper, extra busy the whole day. From the moment I woke up the first thing I have done is to prepare breakfast, however we ran out of gas so I contacted the gas dealer near us. Then a few minutes more my husband was having trouble with regards with his documents. It was again rejected for the second time around and this time it was me to blame because I forgot to edit the correct expiration of his passport from his workers information sheet at POEA. I hurriedly went upstairs, opened the pc and the printer while I opened the POEA website on my husband's phone. After editing it I printed it right away and booked it to lalamove so that the document will arrived at my husband's agency office within the day. It was an important document because it will be needed to be pass at the POEA office and once it will be approved, Anthony will wait for the email from the HR regarding his final document which means he will be ready to dispatch. It will happen anytime this week since his flight details will be on the 16th at 12 am. Prior to that, he also needs antigen test 24 hours before his flight. The good thing is that no more quarantine for those individual leaving the country. By the way, as of this writing the document was finally approved.
I mentioned on my last article that our car was broken, so on that day, Anthony contacted the mechanics located outside the village. He diagnosed what was the problem and he easily detected it. Anthony was advised to buy the parts that needs replacement and then just call them once it is ready. I give Anthony 3000 php so that he can buy those parts. Few minutes later, the delivery rider of the gas I ordered came. Another 1000 php was taken out of my wallet. In fairness, since we were using a single burner gas stove, our lpg gas usually last up until 3 months. Tipid yarn! I got out of the house to buy something to cook for our lunch. I opted to buy fish since it is holy week. It has been part of Catholic tradition to abstain from eating meat products during this lenten season. I went back home and cooked our lunch while waiting for Anthony to get home too.
I was already cooking, when Anthony came back along with the mechanic who is going to fix the car. It didn't last long because it was fixed right away after the replacement. Then hubby went back to me asking for another 1000 php for the labor fee of the mechanic. What? A total of 5000 php or $100 was spent in less than a day. Such a pain in a wallet right? Well, I am glad my husband is going back to work so that all of his expenses from the car alone would be reimburse. To be honest, he is a little meticulous when it comes to our Dusky (the name of our car) I remember, on his last contract he alloted some of his tips he got from his guests for Dusky's repair and all. He wanted it to look presentable even though it is an old model. Who would believe that a 1995 model Toyota Corolla is still working fine up until this year. Lately, a lot of old car are roaming around the city because it doesn't consume gas fast unlike the new model cars, and as we all know gas price is a lot expensive recently.
Sometimes I am thinking of selling our Dusky because of its maintenance but then I remembered how it makes our life better most specially during pandemic that a lot of public transportation has been suspended to operate. It also takes us to whenever places we wanted to, so yeah all the maintenance costs will be worth it in the end.
So that would be all for today's article. I hope to see you next time.
