No fun "There isn't much fun left," my youngest said yesterday. Last Friday she was told she could not work at the library. Not vaccinated is the reason (the child is too young to be vaccinated plus I don't want her to be a victim of side effects. Side-effects she has to live with her entire life that is if she doesn't die). Yesterday I took the children out. Summers are not meant for cooking besides the ants are conquering our house! They are everywhere even on the dishes I just did and the kitten its face. The children had a small pizza on a terrace of the only "restaurant" and I had French fries. Pizza and French fries were disappointing. A new cook or?
*If you have a close look at the photo you see the ant. Why is it dark? I had to zoom in plus the window is behind the kitten. It always makes each photo darker. The flashlight isn't strong enough to make a difference. Like we all know smartphones are slow and animals are fast. If you want to make a great shot you better use some tricks or let the phone make several shots after each other.* Today I drove to the river (actually my child drove after we picked him up at work). We went to the provider to renew our registration of the sim card and visited a small dog shelter with the hope the youngest can give a hand over there. Why the river? Because one of the children wondered what it would look like by now. Still, polls floating in the water or? They cleaned up, made a new beach and it wasn't busy at all.
*Again too much sun makes this photo looks what it looks like. It's kind of disappointing and unclear.* At the other side of the river are fallen trees. The water is indeed as dirty as it looks. People were inside although it wasn't officially opened yet.
"What a strange bike rack", the youngest said, " you cannot put your bike in it." It's new and you need a chain lock if you like to use it. No idea if it's some art. You never know what it's meant for.
This is new and a great idea but I wish there were some more. I never feel comfortable laying my body next to the body with strangers.
There's no line in the water yet but people swim and have fun. No one cares about keeping distance. We sat on a terrace and had our dinner which wasn't that special but it's good to get out of the house for some time. I thought there wouldn't be mosquitoes but there were. Not as many as at home so perhaps I'll go over here more frequently this summer. Vitamin D is needed badly and there aren't as many insects as at home plus there is free wifi. It's the first time.
*Something went wrong here as my child made this photo of his plate. Perhaps some button was hit.* Again disappointing French fries. We have never seen such small ones. At least this was kind of warm while my food was cold. The beach restaurant we used to go to was closed. To be honest they all are bad. Time to search for something else.
Many trees are cut down to make a saver parking lot (one without shadow). This tree is still there. I made the photo by keeping my camera low and turning the lens a bit upwards. Tell your daughter to take heart. You've taken the right decision, rejecting the vaccine. Health is wealth. Its better to be safe than battling with the consequences.
Amen to that! Put God first and you won't finish second!
As long as we can live without, my children will not be rejected by school we will not go for vaccinating. They will vaccinate 12+ now too, soon babies too. Surprising how the opinions changed. Before it was: the side-effects for the younger people hare higher than the chance to get sick.... Suddenly there are no longer side-effects

This post somehow made me a bit jealous. I want to enjoy the outdoors. Lay on the sand and enjoy the sun. But we still have restrictions here and it's just impossible to go anywhere.
I hope you can go outside soon. We can not travel and I live on the country... Surrounded by river.
I don't want niece to get vaccinated because I am also afraid that they might experience side effects in the long run. I mean, several cases are just popping out about the side effects of the vaccines.
There are many cases over 1.5 million people ended up in hospital! Thousands of them died but no one cares. As long as there's no need, no law to let it be. Soon enough those vaccinated need the next vaccine and the next and the next.
Ugh... ants. They are everywhere! I see a few kinds around my house, there is a crazy kind, small and runs around like a crazy ant, another that walks slower and looks like they bite. Ah nice you get to go outdoors with the children. The riverside looks like a beach. I don't think I have seen that here. And I agree, the fries are really small.
The tiny black ones are like crazy here too the bigger ones are different. Termites? They put white sand and built new dressing rooms, the chairs and benches are new. River or big holes after they took the soil is where recreation places can be found. A kind of beach included. No sea air, no salty water, it's different.
