The world is beautiful because it's full of different people who are all unique in their own way. "Do you see people beyond their skin?" "No, I don't." "Well then, please keep reading!"
Here at the Skin Deep Project we believe that you can learn a lot about someone by getting to know them on a more personal level. It's not just what they look like on the outside that matters; it's who they are as an individual and how they interact with others. Our goal is to make your initial judgement of someone based solely on appearance irrelevant.
Trying to see people beyond their skin is a daunting task. We are all different and that's not something we can change. It's a trait that some may see as a good thing while others will find it an inconvenience. But what if you were able to look past the color of someone's skin? What if you could be your true self without worrying about race or culture?
We want you to get to know someone before judging them based solely on looks because we all have our own story and personality quirks! And if nothing else, at least we'll give some LOLs along the way :)
What do you see when you look at someone
You see a person. You may see their face, their clothes, and think about who they are as a person. But what you don't realize is that there is more to them than meets the eye. What you see when looking at someone's face is not always the truth behind it all. In today's society we have become so obsessed with social media and snapchat celebrities that we forget what reality really looks like. We forget how much time goes into making one picture perfect for Instagram or Snapchat filters, even if it means plucking of your eyebrows or shaving your hair off entirely just to get those likes from our friends on Facebook or Twitter feeds.
When you look at someone, what do you see? Do they have a nice face or are they ugly? Are their eyes blue or brown? What does their hair look like? When I look at someone, I notice all these things. But the most important thing is not what's on the outside-it's how that person is on the inside. It's hard to tell if someone is mean just by looking; it takes time to get to know them and find out who they really are.
I don't care about stuff like clothes and makeup because people can still be beautiful without those things. A person with no makeup could be more attractive than somebody with too much of it!
Definition of beauty
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." This cliché has been repeated and recycled throughout history.
But for some reason, we always seem to put people into categories based on how they look. We call these labels "beautiful" or "ugly."
There are countless people who believe they know exactly what beauty is, but how can we define something that is seen through different eyes? Beauty can be found in many forms; it's not just one thing or another. A person's personality and character can make them beautiful to others. It doesn't matter what you look like on the outside when you're a kind person with a good heart; your soul makes you beautiful from within.
Our definition of beauty should be more than just skin deep. There are so many things about you that make you who you are and if someone doesn't like those things then they're not worth your time anyway!
So, don't judge someone by their appearance because true beauty comes from within."
People so obsessed with being perfect:
Do you ever feel like there is something wrong with you, even when everyone else thinks that you are perfect? I think we all have felt this way at one point or another. You may not even know what it is, but deep down inside of yourself, your mind tells you that there's a flaw in the perfection. It's kind of weird how our minds can be so self-destructive without us really knowing why. But hey... some days are just better than others! That doesn't mean though that those bad days aren't real too.
"People are so obsessed with being perfect. If you look around, it's all people talk about. They want to be the best at their job, they need to have the perfect body or they will never find love, and everything else in between."
The key word here is "perfect". People think that if something isn't perfect then there is no point in doing it. This idea has truly taken over our world and I'm not sure why. What makes someone perfect? Who gets to decide what perfection means anyway? The truth is nobody really knows what perfection even looks like anyways...so can we please stop pretending like we do?"
So remember: Everybody has their flaws and nobody is perfect!
Change the way you think about yourselves:
"I am not perfect and I never will be. But, who cares? If you like yourself, that's all that matters."
Some people may think society is the most important thing in life; however, happiness should come first. If we love ourselves, we can make it through anything. We shouldn't care about what other people think of us because they don't matter as much as we do. Instead of worrying about what others say or if someone doesn't like our outfit or hair style for the day, just focus on loving yourself and doing things that make YOU happy!
While some people may think it is impossible to be happy with who you are, regardless of what society thinks about it. I disagree and prove that as long as you're yourself and don't care what other people say, then there's nothing wrong with being confident in the way you look.
Society does not define who you are; you define society and your surroundings by being confident and having a positive attitude towards everything around you. Our happiness not depend on how others perceive us , it should come from within ourselves.
I believe everyone should feel comfortable in their own skin and show off their true beauty!

Inner beauty should be more appreciated than what we see out. For that it make time to get to know them.True we have to love ourselves first.
