Losing toxic people is a win!
There are many people who are toxic to you and your relationships. Toxic people make you feel unhappy, unenergetic and angry. They make themselves feel superior by criticizing others.
The best thing about losing toxic people is the opportunity to replace them with better ones. People who will appreciate the love and support that they have been given. People who will be grateful for what they have in life.
Losing toxic people is a definite "win" not just for us but also for everyone around us, because as we replace them with better ones, they can also find someone better suited to them and their toxicity!
What would your life be like without toxic people?
Would you have more time for yourself? More time with your friends? More time pursuing your passions? A less stressful work-life balance?
It’s a win-win situation, because toxic people drain joy from our lives. It’s not worth it to keep them around.
It may feel at first like giving up, but it really is not. If you have toxic people in your life, if you need to get rid of them for your own sanity and well-being, there are some steps to take. You can actually lose toxic people without having to give up on the relationship.
1) Reflect on the relationship and identify the toxicity - ask yourself what it is that makes this person hard for you to be around. Have they ever given you any bad advice or tried to talk about things that make you uncomfortable? Has someone in their company ever been rude or condescending towards them?

Here are some benefits of losing toxic people:
- You won't have to bear the burden of their toxic behavior
- You will be able to enjoy your life in peace
- Your colleagues will appreciate you more and may not even have a chance to gossip about you behind your back
- You can focus on being productive without the burden of dealing with a toxic person.
A toxic person can be a very frustrating person to be around. From the way they think to the things they do, they're never satisfied. They always find new ways to make you feel bad about yourself and give you a hard time.
Losing toxic people is great because it means that you'll have one less person in your life who enjoys making you feel like crap. It's tough to walk away from someone who's so used to being negative and nasty, but it's worth knowing that doing so will give you space for more positive thinking.
We should not let their negativity take up all of our brain space, we should focus on our own needs for once!
In this section of the book, Mr. Smith has taken some time to discuss the importance of losing toxic people in your lives. He makes a point that one should not be afraid to lose toxic people and move on with their lives.
"We hold onto these destructive individuals because they give us the false sense of validation, they make us feel needed and wanted."-Luke Smith
"It's not always easy to let go of an individual who has been a major part of our life."- Luke Smith
"We were conditioned for so long to believe that if we made them happy than we would be happy too," says Smith. "Most importantly, we need to remind ourselves that happiness can't be found outside ourselves."
Toxic people are often difficult to remember. They are often not just unhelpful, but also destructive for a person’s self-esteem and life.
Toxic people will do anything to make sure that they don't leave your life. They'll try to convince you that you're the problem or they'll refuse to change their ways or apologize for the damage they've caused. Getting rid of toxic people though is a win - for yourself and for your mental health!
I am not just saying that losing toxic people is a win because they were bugging us all the time - no! There's so many reasons why people are "losing" toxic people. And it's happening to everyone, not just a select few.
Poisoned people are never benevolent. I can't stand it. I don't let such people come near me. It is better to be free from poisonous people.
