Hello friends, hope you are all well. I could not come to read.cash regularly again due to illness for two days. Feeling a little better today. So I'm remembering you all.

We are all very familiar with the argument because we are constantly confronted with someone. We know it can be hard to find the right words after an argument. It is no secret that talking can be a negative feedback loop. We speak, and our words are responded to, which makes us feel more confident in what we have to say. This causes us to talk more; and this cycle continues until we forget why we started the conversation in the first place. Arguments are inevitable, but they don’t have to be damaging. With the right skills and tools, you can find peace.

Arguments can be a constructive way of solving a conflict and strengthening relationships. But sometimes we may be at the receiving end of a heated debate. However, the impacts can be negative on both parties involved. And there are times when arguments break the relationship and make it worse.

Arguments are usually caused by inconveniences in the relationship, such as too much disagreement, too little communication, and not enough effort. The negative effects of arguing sometimes outweigh the positive ones.

Arguing can have an impact on our mood and mental well-being. If a person argues too much in their day-to-day life, it can lead to problems such as anxiety and depression. Furthermore, arguments can also destroy relationships with loved ones or people who are important to us. It could even cause feelings of guilt and regret.

How brain deals with conflict

After a heated argument, you will find that your stress levels are out of control. Your brain needs time to recover for it to be able to function properly.

In some cases, when two people are arguing and they can't see eye-to-eye, one of the most effective things they can do is say nothing. This gives the other person time to process what has been said and think about their response.

A research study has found that humans cannot handle too much conflict in a short period of time. The team found that after an argument or dispute, the levels of stress hormones, such as cortisol and adrenaline, are at their peak. Our brain is unable to perform optimally if it has not had sufficient time to rest and recover from the aftermath of a conflict.

Since it is important to keep your brain healthy, you should give it a break after a heated discussion or argument.

“Silence is golden.”

sometimes, silence is the best way to show you care, and that you understand the other person’s perspective too.⁣⁣

Silence is one of the most powerful tools for avoiding arguments - by simply ignoring a problem rather than discussing .

When you’re angry, hurt or sad, take a breather and stay silent for a while before speaking up-

Make Silence Part of Your Daily Regimen

You may not be able to completely silence the world around you, but you can start off with a daily half an hour at least. You will be surprised by how much this practice can impact your life once you stick with it.

The benefits of being silent is that it allows you to get into the habit of getting your thoughts together before speaking them out loud. It also stops you from having a unnecessary conversation when you want .

Silent moments in relationships can help fix problems that may have led to an argument. Silence is not always a bad thing, it might be what your relationship needs to recover from this argument.

Indeed we need to push the pause button and rethink. Once we are calmer, then we can argue again lol!

Rational explanation, I do not like to argue. And I can't argue with anyone, in silence all day. I think it's easy to be silent and handle anything. Arguing harms one's own brain and hurting another person. People think that they can win by arguing, this is a misconception. It is defeat. People who live in a louder place are more prone to bad processes in their brain. So you have to build a security brain with silence.

I'm also like these when it comes to arguments instead of trying hard to level their voice I tend to be silent and let them speak first yet sometimes I can't take it anymore so I will also voice out what I'm feeling.

Silence is one of the best human qualities. The sad fact is that we can't keep quiet when we need to.
