Affiliate Marketing - What, Why, How? At present it is one of the means of income
So let's get started. Don't know at first, what is affiliate marketing?
Simply put, if you promote a product in the online marketplace, you will receive a certain amount of commission when it is sold. This is affiliate marketing.
This is something I could not explain in a very simple way three years ago. Because, the issue of online marketplace was not very well known in Bangladesh. But the online marketplace concept is now quite popular in this country due to the websites like Rokmari.com, Chaldal.com, Ajkerdil.com, Sahaj.com, Aso.com etc. So it may be easier to explain.
Let's talk about today's deal.com. It is a subsidiary of bdjobs.com that we all know. From here you can buy the product of your choice. I myself bought a 24 inch Sony Bravia TV from here last year (which is installed on the wall of my bedroom). But when I bought the TV, a technician from Chowdhury Electronics, a multiplan supermarket on Elephant Road, passed it to my house. What does this mean?
This means that Ajkerdil.com is a platform through which Chowdhury Electronics sells its electronic products. So TV (or anything else) is the product, Chowdhury Electronics is the vendor, and Ajkerdil.com is the marketing or sales platform. Here Ajkerdil.com receives a certain commission for selling each product from the vendor. Suppose, I paid 30,000 rupees for the TV, today's deal took 1000 rupees from here. The remaining Rs 29,000 belongs to the vendor, in this case to Chowdhury Electronics.
Now, why did Chowdhury Electronics give this one thousand rupees to Ajkerdil.com? Because, the marketing of this product has made today's deal.com. While sitting at home and Facebooking, I saw a post on Ajkerdil.com, which had a tempting offer, to buy a Bravia TV at a discount of Rs 10,000, I read that post and decided to buy the TV, then call Ajkerdil.com I order by contacting.
Now, this is marketing, it was done by Deal.com's own marketing team. This is direct marketing. But if that were the case, Ajkerdil.com would give you, me or Rahim or Karim the responsibility of marketing in exchange for a commission, then that would be affiliate marketing.
What would the matter be like then? You would tell me through your website, Facebook page or email that there is a very good TV available on Deal.com today. I bought the TV for 30,000 (thirty thousand) rupees by contacting Ajkerdil.com for your reference. The people of Chowdhury Electronics came to my house directly or through Ajkerdil.com. Now the distribution of money is as follows-
Vendor - Chowdhury Electronics - Rs. 29,000
Marketing Platform - Ajkerdil.com - Rs
Affiliate Marketer - You - 500 rupees
The amount of money will be less. Depends on today's deal.com, Chowdhury Electronics and what has happened between you.
Could I give a clear example?
Now come to the real example.
The biggest examples of affiliate marketing are Amazon.com, eBay.com or Clickbank.com. Thousands of vendor companies submit their products to these sites for sale. EBay or Amazon sell these products themselves as well as enlist the help of affiliate marketers. Sites like Clickbank sell entirely through affiliate marketers like us. As above, eBay, Amazon or Clickbank get 3% -5% of sales money. Affiliate marketers also get commissions. How much, it depends on what the product is.
If the product is a physical product, such as medicine, flowers, books, furniture, mobile phones, glasses, jewelry, clothes, etc., then the commission is 3% to 20%. But if it is a digital product, such as software, games, ebooks, membership of a website, then the commission can be 50% to 100%.
What can't be sold through affiliate marketing? Everything goes. Everything from diamond jewelry to bank loans or credit cards are sold. Affiliate marketing started in Bangladesh in 2009, we used to sell software through a site called TVProcessing.com, with which the game could be watched live. It cost about 50 to buy the software, and our commission was about 30. I remember a boy from Rajshahi (name or secret) sold 614 copies of software during one night of the ESA game during the Football World Cup, selling over 15 lakh Bangladeshi rupees. Think?
Goes. At that time almost all of us earned 2/3 lakh rupees per month. Of course the competition was less. Now the competition is much higher. Even then it is still possible. There are many good platforms. It is very easy to bring money to the bank. The logistical support needed to do this is much easier now than ever before. Now it is very possible to earn very good money by affiliate marketing online.
What can everyone do? No. Why? First of all, not everyone knows the way, secondly, patience.
Making money is never easy. For this we need talent and hard work. I'm not going to teach you, you have to work hard, right?
One thing to keep in mind is that this is not a PTC click-through, nor is it a forex-like speculation. But yes, if you insert Forex Trader on these sites without trading Forex yourself, it is affiliate marketing. It is also very profitable. Let me explain. Suppose you are an affiliate marketer of a forex trading site. You promoted this site. I became a member of that site in your reference and traded Forex. Then you will get a fixed commission or a percentage of the amount that the site will get from me.
All in all, it is not a scam, it is not a gamble. It’s one hundred percent honest, and hard work. But since the income is in dollars, the income is much higher.
