How to earn more money with your BCH
DeFi (Decentralized Finance) has become a huge part of the crypto ecosystem. However, most of it is built on the Ethereum network. Meaning if all of us BCH fans are limited to the options to participate in earning more money. Until recently, that is.
How would you feel if you could earn 109.10% APR? Let me show you how. https://read.cash/@PinoyAko/what-is-defi-decentralized-finance-df555a3d

Liquidity Mining
*"Liquidity mining is a network participation strategy in which a user provides capital to a protocol in return for that protocol’s native token."*
Uniswap is probably the best-known platform for liquidity mining. In September 2020, Uniswap did an airdrop for early participants where 400 UNI was given. I missed out on this, but I remember the price per UNI was around $3-$4, so that was $1200-$1600 USD worth of UNI. Nice payday for those people. However, the price of UNI today (March 31, 2021) is $27. That 400 UNI would be worth $10,800 today. https://app.uniswap.org/
That's all in the past and doesn't matter now. Let me tell you about Cake DeFi. https://app.cakedefi.com?ref=260444
Cake DeFi
*"DeFi accessible to anyone.*
*Cake is a platform that empowers you to be in control of your finances by creating cashflow and harnessing the potentials of Decentralized Finance.*
*Cake offers a range of DeFi products, podcasts and educational videos you can use to achieve financial freedom."*
https://app.cakedefi.com?ref=260444
One of the reasons that I've moved most of my crypto into Cake is because of the transparency, ease of use and low-fees. I tried adding to a Uniswap liquidity pool and the gas fees were so high that it didn't make financial sense.
How to get started with Cake DeFi
Cake DeFi has a promotion right where if you deposit $50 USD worth of any coin, including BCH, you will receive $20 USD worth of DFI (the Cake DeFi token). https://app.cakedefi.com?ref=260444
This would allow you to participate in the BCH-DFI liquidity pool for a total of $40 USD ($20 each). The remaining $30 USD of BCH can be withdrawn right away if you want to. Then you sit back and let your $40 USD earn grow. It's that simple.
Seeking opportunities
Taking advantage of promotions and opportunities like this is how I've accumulated close to $1,500 USD worth of crypto without investing any fiat currency.
Don't take any of this as financial advice. It's important that you invest in ways that you're comfortable. But remember that taking advantage of the right opportunities is what will lead you to your success.
The secret of success is to be ready when your opportunity comes. - **Benjamin Disraeli**

Avoid these 10 Mistakes When Starting a Podcast
I started a podcast in January 2020. I've released 60 episodes and had over 100 pre-interviews with potential guests. The podcast didn't succeed as I had hope, so I took a break to understand what I could have done differently. After a few months of learning and studying how to grow a podcast properly, I want to share my mistakes in my first year of running a podcast and the lessons learned.
**1. Spending money on the wrong things.**
Upgrading your equipment isn’t going to grow your podcast business. Invest in things that will produce a return on your investment, such as automation and delegation.
**2. Not editing episodes to maintain the “authenticity” of the conversation.**
Your audience is exchanging time for value. Respect your audience’s time and deliver the best value by eliminating waste.
**3. Thinking a high-end microphone will solve my growth problems.**
You can get a great sounding setup for about $100USD, and that’s all you’ll need for a long time.
**4. Relying on social media to grow my audience organically.**
Organic growth is only a part of the strategy. You’re going to need to promote your podcast actively to grow your audience.
**5. Waiting for 10s of thousands of downloads to start monetizing.**
Monetization should be part of your podcast business strategy right out of the gate. Even a “small” podcast can generate revenue.
**6. Thinking I needed technical skills (editing, mixing, etc.) to run a podcast.**
Outsourcing this is a lot cheaper than you think.
**7. Doing everything myself to save money.**
If you’re building a podcast business, stop wasting your time with work that other people can easily do.
**8. If I don’t release an episode every week, my audience will stop listening.**
Releasing a bad episode to “stay consistent” will do more harm than good. Consistency is important, but don’t trade consistency for quality.
**9. Waiting to have the perfect plan before executing.**
There’s no such thing as the “perfect plan.” Get started and adjust as you go.
**10. Not wanting to niche too much, so I can go in different directions.**
Niching gives you focus and clarity. Start small and expand as you grow (if you want).
I hope this helps other podcasters avoid the same mistakes I made. If you took value from any part of this article, please like and share.
Eliminate the Unimportant Stuff
Back in the summer, I was feeling overwhelmed trying to do all the things I wanted to.
But then I had my conversation with Kayvon, and he helped remind me what I needed to do.
I needed to simplify my life.
I needed to eliminate unimportant work.
So, I took stock of all the tasks that I was trying to get done in a week and prioritized them.
Some things could be eliminated, such as eating, sleeping and personal hygiene (my wife was grateful for that).
With others, I had to make a choice.
Keep, Reduce or Eliminate.
Though there's still a lot of work for me to do, I feel much better and productive now.
This week's episode is about the process of elimination and the importance of simplifying your life.

I'm sad to see an end to the Activity Bonus. This was a great incentive for me to be more engaged with read.cash, but I understand why it has to go. It did accomplish it's goal though. I'm a lot more active and plan to continue that behaviour. Well done!
Practicing Mindfulness
We live in a world where it's easy for our attention to be diverted from the important things.
I'm guilty of being on my phone when I'm with my son, even though I say that family is important. 😕
When I catch myself doing this, I put my phone away so I can be more present.
And that's when the moments of Joy occur. 😍

Coinbase Earn Releases Algorand
If you're not familiar with Coinbase Earn, it's the program that allows you to earn various cryptocurrencies for learning about them. You watch a few videos, answer a multiple-choice question correctly, and BAM! you get some cryptocurrencies added to your wallet. I wrote an article about it here. https://read.cash/@Ippollo/coinbase-learn-to-earn-program-c07864d1
The most recent addition to the program is Algorand.

Coinbase Learn to Earn Program
When I started to acquire crypto, I wanted to do it in a way that allowed me to learn without costing myself a lot of money. Even with the approach I've taken, I've made some mistakes and lost money.
So when I came across Coinbase's Earn program, I was thrilled! You get rewarded with different crypto for watching videos and learning. It couldn't get any better!
If you've not already taken advantage of this, I recommend you get yourself on the waiting list to become eligible. It took over 6 months for me to qualify, and now that I am, I've earned close to $164 in the last two months.
If you want to skip the waiting process and Earn right away, use one of the links below. When you do, you'll watch a video and have to answers some questions. Each correct answer will earn you some money. To make things even easier, I've included the answers to all the questions.
You'll have to be quick because I was only provided with a limited amount of invites.

Do This One Thing To Earn More Tips
Have you poured your heart and soul into your writing here on read.cash, but for some reason, haven't earned much in tips?
Same here.
I've tried various topics to see what would resonate most with the readership but haven't had much success.
I would enviously look at the other articles getting these huge tips for articles and wondered, "Will I ever get that kind of tip?"
Then I started to notice a pattern. It was so obvious once I saw it. I realized the mistake I'd been making and saw the path to more tips.
Can you guess what's the one thing these articles all had in common?
It wasn't that they were eloquently writing. A lot of them had tons of grammatical errors and were hard to read.
The one thing they all had in common was...
Bitcoin Cash.
That's the secret to success on read.cash. Write about Bitcoin Cash, and you'll attract the people who are already providing tips.
You could ignore every other reader and exclusively write for the people in the above list, and you would probably increase your earnings significantly. Why? Because the above list of twenty people represents 87.57% of all the user-to-user tips provided as of today (August 12, 2020).
Interestingly enough, this is to be expected because of the **Pareto Principle**. Some other names for this principle are the **"80/20 rule"**, and the one that I think is the most relevant in this case, **"The Law of the Vital Few."** If it weren't for these few people, especially @MarcDeMesel (largest donor, too), there wouldn't be much going on here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle https://read.cash/@cryptotexty/the-biggest-donation-in-crypto-blogging-history-750e3d4e
Unfortunately, read.cash is slowly becoming more and more of a BCH echo chamber. But then again, every other crypto media platform goes a similar direction, so it's not surprising. It's just disappointing.
Ether network fees are crazy right now. There's not point in moving small amounts and that sucks.
Earn Crypto Doing What You Already Do
Wouldn't it be nice to earn money for sleeping and eating? If you ever come across a way how, please let me know. Until then, why don't we talk about other activities we all do every day that can earn us money.
Spending time on the Internet is a daily routine for a lot of people today. However, most people don't realize that they can earn money by merely shifting how or where they spend that time. Let me preface this article with the fact that none of these things are going to make you rich, but they will put a few extra dollars in your pocket for something you were already doing. And who doesn't want that?
Brave Browser
The number one earner on the list and the easiest to use is Brave. Brave is a Chrome-based browser that will pay you Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing their ads. The great thing about this is Brave will block all other ads you would typically see when surfing the internet. In addition to being able to earn, Brave is built with privacy in mind. If your online privacy is important, you'll enjoy Brave.
How much can you earn?
Now that I'm using Brave as my primary browser again, I earn around 25-30 BAT per month. The value of BAT at the time of this writing is $0.25 USD, which means $6.25-$7.50 USD per month.
**Start Earning With Brave Now** https://brave.com/?ref=chr370/
Presearch Search Engine
I recently came across Presearch and wished I had learned about it sooner. Every time you search with Presearch, you get paid. The best part? It's connected to every search engine you can think of, including the dominant Google. https://presearch.org/signup?rid=1825890
How much can you earn?
If you maximize your daily searches, you can earn up to 8 PRE per day (earn 0.25 per search). Meaning you could receive 240 PRE per month. The value of PRE at the time of this writing is $0.016, so that would be about $3.84 USD per month.
**Sign Up For Presearch Now** https://presearch.org/signup?rid=1825890
Some Other Options
The next two suggestions may not be for everyone, but I'm making some assumptions. If you're writing on read.cash, you're probably interested in crypto, and you might be reading articles or watching videos on the subject. If you are, then you want to continue.
PublishOx
PublishOx was the first crypto blogging site I learned about. I don't write there, but I do read articles and, more importantly, earn a little money for doing so. The way you earn on PublishOx is by tipping the authors of the articles you enjoy. A portion of that tip can be shared with you, the reader, so you get to earn while reading and learning. https://www.publish0x.com/?a=QBeXGpldyK
How much can you earn?
You're able to tip a maximum of 6 times per day, and if you share the tip 80% for you and 20% for the author, you can earn about $3 USD per month. There are three coins that you could earn this money though, BAT, ETH and LRC. It's important to know that the first daily tip you make will earn you the most and then scales down from there. So at a minimum tip at least once a day.

LBRY
If you're like me and prefer video content, then LBRY (a.k.a https://odysee.com/) is for you. Think of LBRY as your YouTube alternative. Other decentralized video sites are trying to fill the gap, but I've not checked them out because I've never seen anyone say they prefer the other over LBRY. https://lbry.tv/$/invite/J4F4B655YQkMydQgdCgQWrca9xhvccUy
How much can you earn?
You can earn anywhere from 0.5-50 LBC as a Daily Watch Reward. There are some other ways to make LBC, but they will eventually run out, so the Daily is the only consistent method. At the time of this writing, LBC was valued at $0.034 USD. Most of the time, you're going to earn 0.5 or 1 LBC, so it's not a lot. But it's better than nothing.

If you want to earn more, you're going to have to do more than consume. Where PublishOx and LBRY earning potential shines is with content creation. To get an idea of how much you can earn, check out one of @scottcbusiness monthly earning reports. You can make some serious coin if you put in the work.

Tools To Help Your Articles Earn More
I've seen a lot of people asking, "How can I earn more on read.cash?!" The number one thing you should do is write and write a lot. But that's not what this article is about. I can't help you write more. I can show you two tools that will make your writing better and two other tools to make your articles look nicer.
How To Write A Better Article
I've noticed that for many writers here on read.cash, English isn't their primary language. Their articles have grammatical errors, spelling mistakes and are sometimes hard to understand. If you want to increase your chances of earning tips with your posts, you're going to need to clean up your writing. Thankfully there are two apps that any writer should consider. The best part, they're FREE!
Grammarly
Grammarly is my go-to writing assistant. I loved the free version so much that I upgraded to the paid version to unlock its full potential. Not only will it look for the basics, spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, but it will help you with clarity, engagement and delivery. Everyone should be using Grammarly, no matter your skill level. https://www.grammarly.com/
Hemingway
I use Hemingway as a supplement to Grammarly because of the readability score. The best and most persuasive writing is simple. Why? Because most people want something easy to read and understand. Of course, this depends on the audience you're writing for, but aiming for a Grade 6 readability score should be the sweet spot you intend for. http://hemingwayapp.com/
How To Make Your Articles More Beautiful
Adding images isn't as important as your writing quality, but it will definitely help your articles stand out. And as the saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words."
Canva
Like Grammarly, I loved the free version of Canva so much I upgrade to the paid version to unlock its full potential. Canva is a staple tool for any digital entrepreneur. It will help you design images for everything your business could need. You could use it to create better-looking thumbnails to attract more readers to your article. Then you can make the reading experience a little better with some high-quality images within your article. https://www.canva.com/
TechSmith Capture
Most of the images you'll see in my articles are screen captures from my desktop. I was surprised to learn that most people don't know how to do this. Though there's a built-in app for Windows, Snipping Tool, I prefer to use TechSmith Capture. It's easier to use and has a few extra functions that make it better. Plus, it's free, so there's no downside to using it. https://www.techsmith.com/jing-tool.html
Go Forth And Create
There you go. Now you're equipped with the tools that will end writing mistakes and add some colour to your articles.

Take care!
EUREKA! I Cracked The Casino Code
I wrote an article asking the question, "Is it possible to make money with a crypto casino?" It seems like I may have found the answer, and it's YES...so far. Let me explain. https://read.cash/@Ippollo/can-you-actually-make-money-from-a-casino-b5edce0e
My original plan was to take the faucet from Luckyfish.io of 1 DOGE and see how far I could make it. Twice I was able to grow it to over 2000 DOGE (I won some bonus contests along the way), but my previous betting system eventually caved in, and I lost it all. Unfortunately, I decided to document this journey after both of these two unlucky events, so I have no proof. This time I have evidence of what I've been doing. https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
I didn't want to start with the 1 DOGE so I deposited some money. I converted some BAT (acquired from using Brave browser) into 988 DOGE on Atomic Wallet. I deposited to Luckyfish.io and started with my new betting strategy. Eight days later, I was able to withdraw 2155 DOGE back to Atomic Wallet. https://brave.com/chr370 https://read.cash/@Ippollo/how-im-earning-17-per-year-33f4d6e1 https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
I've since converted my DOGE back into BAT because DOGE was overvalued with the new pump and dump campaign that started on TikTok. I wanted something a little more stable but also needed to enough whole coins to apply my betting strategy. The BAT is now on Luckyfish.io doing its thing until I can convert it to a higher value coin like ETH, BCH or BTC. https://www.publish0x.com/paragism/this-time-tiktok-pumps-doge-xzyrygj?a=QBeXGpldyK https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
Now for the part, you're all waiting for...the betting strategy. Or, more importantly, knowing how much to bet so you don't go bust.
I wrote another article about this, that it's all about probability. If you can bet in a way that the chance of busting is so low that it's almost impossible, then you win...all the time. Here's how I've been doing it. https://read.cash/@Ippollo/risk-probability-of-outcomes-5d01d24c
Take the total number of coins you have and divide it by 5. Why 5? Because if every loss increases your next bet by 400%, your previous bet is multiplied 5x. This is the key though; you have to buffer for consecutive losses. The most that ever happened to me at the odds we're playing was nine. That's right, nine successive losses. Now I factor in ten consecutive losses. Then we multiple by two so we can grow a little faster.
This is the formula.
Hopefully, this all makes sense, if not ask your question in comments.
If it does make sense and you want to try it out, sign up for Luckyfish.io and we will win together! https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
It's Not Looking Good
A short while ago, I started the process of trying to make consistent money on luckyfish.io. Things aren't going great so far. https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
In my previous article, Risk & Probability Of Outcomes, I shared that I would use a strategy that allowed me to lose 25 rolls in a row before it would bust me. I tested this theory out on over 100,000 rolls easily and never happened, so I thought I was okay. Well, math proved me wrong since if you do something long enough, even an outcome of 0.0021% will eventually occur. https://read.cash/@Ippollo/risk-probability-of-outcomes-5d01d24c
I started with 3.3 DOGE and was able to get it up to a little over 250 DOGE when disaster struck. Twenty-five consecutive missed rolls, and it was all gone. Thankfully none of this has been my own money. The faucet (which has dropped back down to normal) has been paying for this experiment.
The approach I'm going to take now is going to be ultra-conservative. I'm going to bet one satoshi (0.00000001) and see how long it takes to get to 1 unit (1.00000000). Of course, this experiment will continue to use DOGE, but the data should prove valuable when considering higher value crypto-currencies.
How I'm Earning 17% Per Year
I'm still new to the whole crypto scene, but I'm getting more and more into it every day. Less than a month ago, I finally decided to start consolidating all the crypto I've been earning into one location. The wallet that I chose to go with was atomicwallet.io. https://wwp6pjqe.r.us-east-1.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2Fatomicwallet.io%2Fjoin%3Fkid=19VP77/1/010001729ef63aa3-ac9e362e-58fb-4229-a089-3d6ca3d137ec-000000/tRoLPMc0uXC50JGETEYa8aG2knw=165
Part of the reason for that was a promotion they have were you earn free AWC tokens (their token). Anything that gets me free crypto is going to appeal to me.
Once I got myself set up and checked things out, I was thrilled with the choice I made. The user interface is beautiful. It's simple to use and has a wide range of coins and tokens available.
And then I found the staking options.
They have a large of options for staking, but when you stake AWC, you can earn up to 23%/year. I was sold!
Because my balance is a little low, I get 17%/year, but I plan on putting more in to reach the 23% mark.
In addition to the high rate of return, they have weekly payouts, which you can role into your current stake. This means a weekly compounding return.
I worked in the financial industry for over ten years, and there's nothing that comes close to this kind of return on investment.
If you're looking for a great wallet that has the options to earn great money, I would highly recommend checking out atomicwallet.io. https://wwp6pjqe.r.us-east-1.awstrack.me/L0/https:%2F%2Fatomicwallet.io%2Fjoin%3Fkid=19VP77/1/010001729ef63aa3-ac9e362e-58fb-4229-a089-3d6ca3d137ec-000000/tRoLPMc0uXC50JGETEYa8aG2knw=165

Risk & Probability Of Outcomes
I started a new series where I'm documenting my journey of answering the question of "Is it possible to make consistent money from a crypto casino?" You can read the first article here. https://read.cash/@Ippollo/can-you-actually-make-money-from-a-casino-b5edce0e
Before I get into the update, let me share how to get started if you want to try this out for yourself. When you create your account on luckyfish.io, send a couple of messages in the chat, then collect the DOGE faucet. Instead of 1 DOGE, you'll receive 3.3 DOGE. This is what you're going to use to test strategies before committing your own money. https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
Now for my first update. I want to share the approach I'm taking with the Dice Classic game on luckyfish.io. Previously I mentioned the *Martingale Strategy*, and in my research, I found another strategy that proved to be more profitable. https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
The unique aspect of this strategy is that the more consecutive losses you have, the more profit you will eventually make. However, like any form of gambling, there are risks. Enough consecutive losses and all your money are gone.
So to figure this problem out, I used the DOGE I collected through the faucet and experimented. How many consecutive losses could I handle before going bust? It turned out getting 20 consecutive losses was the magic number. The probability of this happening is 0.018% (if my math is correct).
Quick story about the painful way I learned this lesson.
I manage to turn the 3.3 DOGE into over 2000 DOGE....twice. And both times, 20 consecutive losses wiped it all out.
Here was my new approach. If I could make it so it would take 25 consecutive losses, then I would have decreased the probability of outcome even more (down to 0.0021%), while reducing my risk.
Now that I've settled on my strategy, it's time to see if it works. Make sure to follow for more updates as they come.
Can You Actually Make Money From A Casino?
I'm starting a new series where I will document my journey of answering this question. Is it possible to make **consistent** money from a crypto casino?
If you've explored how to earn crypto, odds are you've come across a site that rewards you for viewing PTC ads. This is where you get paid to click on an ad and view it for a defined amount of time.
For me, that site is cointiply.com. Most of the money I've earned has been from installing apps and games, but I'll view ads sometimes to find new crypto-related things. http://cointiply.com/r/8KDBk
I had seen an ad for **luckyfish.io** a few times without doing anything, but one day my curiosity got the best of me. Anyone who says that marketing doesn't work is lying to themselves. I checked out the site, mainly looking for poker stuff, but why I stuck around was something different. It was the Dice Classic game. https://luckyfish.io/?c=kveyl
I'd come across some videos on lbry.tv (think YouTube with crypto rewards) featuring a different site with the same game, so I wanted to look into this dice game a little more. https://lbry.tv/$/invite/J4F4B655YQkMydQgdCgQWrca9xhvccUy
Here's how the game works. You bet whether the next roll of the dice is going to be above or below a specified number. The smaller the group of numbers that you're betting on, the higher the payout will be
Here's an example.
If you want to get 2 times you bet, you are hoping that the next roll is going to be above 50.50. So if you bet 1 satoshi, you get paid 1 satoshi in profit. Now, this isn't a betting strategy that's going to work in the long run because you have a 49.50% chance to win. Roll enough times, and you'll end up on the losing end.
This got me curious. Is there a betting strategy that could make **consistent** money in the long run?
My initial research found a strategy called the *Martingale Strategy*. How it works applies to our above scenario. What you do is double your bet every time you lose and reset to your initial bet every time you win. Now let me share an example.
You bet 1 satoshi and lose. Your next bet will be 2 satoshis. If you lose that roll, you will bet 4 satoshis. You repeat this process until you win. The plan with strategy is that you eventually recoup your losses with the follow-up roll. Then you go back to betting 1 satoshi and profit 1 satoshi when you win. Check out the chart below to see what it looks like.
If you follow this series, you'll find out if this strategy works and the other strategies I'm testing out. The goal is to find a betting strategy that consistently makes money over a long enough time.
Any suggestions or tips on how to grow my community? It's been featured and the number of followers has increased, but there hasn't been much for submitted articles.
What A Pleasant Surprise
My goal when I started on **read.cash** was to write one article per day. I was doing this to form the habit of writing more than anything else. So far, it's been going great, and I'm on a good streak, so the goal is to keep the streak alive.
When the changes were made to the point system, I didn't think much of it since I wasn't writing for points, I was writing to write. It's been a few days with the new system, and I must say...what a pleasant surprise!
Every morning, when I wake up to start writing, there's way more points than I've had before. I think I like this new system. 😊
Now, I don't expect to be able to write full-time on **read.cash**, though that would be pretty awesome. But it's nice to get the extra rewards for creating original and exclusive content. Plus, the money I'm earning here is helping me learn more about the world of crypto, which is another reason why I chose to write on **read.cash**.

It's Key To Have Patience
My mornings tend to look the same lately. I wake up sometime between 2 and 4 am because something is bothering my son. If I'm lucky, it's closer to 4 because that would give me about 6 hours of sleep. But when it's closer to 2 am, like this morning, that's only 4 hours of sleep, which is rough.
What I've learned about myself since having a child is that my patience isn't great if I didn't a lot of sleep. When my son is struggling, and I can't do anything, I feel myself getting angry and frustrated. Thankfully I'm aware of this and can do something about it.
I remind myself that he's only eight months old and what he's going through feels very uncomfortable for him. I will also take a few deep breaths and take my mind off of the sounds and actions he's making, and instead focus on the fact that I'm meant to comfort and protect him.
It bothers me that my default reaction is anger when I'm tired. I've worked very hard over the years to prevent that emotion in unnecessary situations, so this shows me that I have more work to do. Thankfully I have my son, who will be a great teacher.
If other parents have already gone through this, I'd be open to some advice. If my wife and I could get him to sleep better, I think we all would be better for it.

An Honest Review Of Blockchain.Poker
I've been playing on blockchain.poker for a couple of weeks now. In that time, I've played close to one thousand hands. Now I want to share my initial thoughts on the site and the community of players. https://blockchain.poker/#/?affiliate=26c674ee9dcd750f473c5eada952538c%23cash
Let's start with the site. The user interface is a little lacking. I've played on a lot of other websites that look better that's for sure. But this doesn't bother me that much. I kind of like the simplicity of it. What I would like to see is a better betting system. Having buttons that would allow for common bets (e.g. 3x BB, 1/2 pot, pot, etc.) would be nice.
Another aspect that would be nice to include is more audio effects. When other players fold, there's no sound. For some reason, this throws me off. I think it's because the only way you know it's your turn is when you get a warning.
Now let's talk about the other crucial aspect of any poker site, the community. It's pretty light on players right now, which has pros and cons. It's nice because the free tournaments don't have thousands of players to compete against, which makes cashing much easier. The downside is the lack of tables for cash games and sit & go games. This is tough for blockchain.poker to address since drawing people in is tough, and I get that. https://blockchain.poker/#/?affiliate=26c674ee9dcd750f473c5eada952538c%23cash
What might help is a larger prize pool for the free tournaments. The only way I could see that being feasible for them would be with more significant partnerships, also not an easy thing to get.
With all that said, I plan on sticking around and playing more. Since my balance is low, the lack of cash games doesn't affect me too much. Plus, I'm not playing a lot right now, and that's probably not going to change any time soon.
How I Choose Ways To Make Money
Like all of you in this community, I want to earn more money. To learn how, I've spent countless hours reading, watching videos and listening to podcasts. I've also spent thousands of dollars on courses and programs.
I've made money in a lot of different ways, but never an amount that would allow me to stop working for someone else. To date, I've made the most money from YouTube and streaming. The areas that I'm working to improve are affiliate marketing and high ticket programs.
This is how I decided what I'm willing to pursue to earn more money.
I can't be tied down to a physical location. Any source of income that I'm going to build should be able to operate no matter where I am. This is why online models will be what I focus on.
There needs to be a recurring income component to it. Stable and predictable income is essential to be able to budget and plan. Without that, there's too much stress about when money will come in.
It has to be scalable. If I'm going to invest time and money into a business, there cannot be a glass ceiling on the amount of money it can generate.
These are just some of the things I consider when looking at how to make money. What about you? What are the criteria that you look at when deciding what to do?
Wake Up Early For Success
*"You must wake up at 4 AM if you want to be successful."*
Words you will never hear from me.
But let me ask you a question. How many billionaires reached their level of success by sleeping in every day they could?
ZERO.
Waking up early gives you a valuable head start on your journey to success.
How early should you wake up? Let's keep it simple and say if you're waking up before most people, you're doing good.
But remember that you need to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep, so go to bed at the appropriate time. I know some people will argue that they don't need that much sleep, but you're wrong and science has proven it. If you want the proof, look up professor Matt Walker at sleepdiplomat.com or read his book Why We Sleep. https://www.sleepdiplomat.com/ https://amzn.to/310wLUL
I want to know what time do you wake up?
These Changes Are Crazy!
I've been on **read.cash** for a little over a week. It's blowing my mind how fast enhancements are being rolled out. The team (or individual) at **read.cash** is doing a great job with these recent changes.
When I saw the announcement about the featured communities, I thought that was great. But I was left wanting more. I wanted to be able to see the communities that I follow to be able to better engage with.
When I logged in during a break at work to check out the changes, what did I see? Not only is there a 'Featured' filtered view, but there's a 'Joined' view...hurray!
At the pace read.cash is going, I could see it becoming a far superior platform compared to the rest of the options out there. I'm glad I stumbled across this hidden gem.
It's All Your Fault
It took me a while to learn this lesson. I’m still working on it daily. Here’s the hard truth for a lot of people.
Everything that happens to you in your life is your fault.
Before you get emotionally worked up over this, consider the message, not the words.
The key word in my statement that would upset most is “fault.” The reason for this would be the definition that you assign to the word.
And this where most hurt feelings come.
A misunderstanding of the meaning of a person's message due to the interpretation of the words said or written.
What if the meaning of the word “fault” is ‘open to blame : responsible’? Would you still disagree with the statement?
Perhaps you would. But let’s dig deeper. What if the definition of “responsible” is ‘being the cause or the explanation’?
Is the message getting a little more clear?
Let me rephrase the statement.
You are the cause or the explanation of all the good or bad that occurs in your life.
I share this message from a place of love and caring. You will feel more in control of your life once you understand this lesson.

The Worlds Most Relaxing Songs
My day job is to look after the Client Experience of an IT services company. A project I'm working on is to improve the experience of when our clients are on hold for tech support. In my search to find the best music to play while on hold, I came across this article. https://studybreaks.com/culture/music/relaxing-songs/
Some neuroscientists wanted to determine what would be considered the most relaxing songs in the world. They did this by having participants solve complex puzzles while listening to specific songs and then record their physiological responses.
Once again, leave it to the world of science to figure something like this out. Thank you science!
If you ever find yourself a little stressed out (like when playing poker), listen to any of the songs below, and you'll find yourself in a beautiful calm state.

My Bitcoin Cash Journey Begins
My crypto journey started when I was working in the world of banking back in 2009. I was early in my career in wealth management and staying on top of new trends in the market was important to me. I'm also a technology buff, so a lot of the blogs I followed were in that space. That's where I first learned about Bitcoin. I was instantly attracted to the idea of a new currency and especially because I could mine it. I spent a weekend trying to set up my crappy laptop to be able to mine and let it run for a couple of days. When I checked in to see how many Bitcoins I successfully mined, there was nothing. I decided that this wasn't going to work and forgot about it.
Now there's no point in me thinking about the "What if" scenarios. So I've ventured back into the world crypto. I'm now more interested and confident that there is a future for crypto because the longer it sticks around, the more likely for it to live on. This is called the "Lindy effect". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lindy_effect
Up until recently, I was dabbling in faucets and other ways to earn crypto without using fiat currency. It's not the most effective use of time to be honest (future article to come) but it's a fun way to get familiar with the whole economy of crypto without risking money.
I used to play a lot of poker back in the day so last week I decided to look into crypto poker sites. The first one I checked out happen to have a faucet function, where they start you off with a very small amount of coins; blockchain.poker (affiliate link). You can play for BCH or BTC, which you start with 100 or 50 satoshis respectively. This got me thinking, that I could scratch a couple of itches with this. I can play poker again and finally start to write for read.cash. https://blockchain.poker/#/?affiliate=26c674ee9dcd750f473c5eada952538c%23cash https://read.cash/
