My home town (Lincoln) holds one of the largest Christmas Markets in Europe even though it is based on German ones and it used to be a highlight of our year to pop over for the weekend to enjoy it, soak in the atmosphere and have a mulled wine ahd mince pie. It is hard to believe that 25 years ago this week I was in the north western Romanian town of Zalau helping a team give Christmas presents to Orphans of the Communist regime. So far and about 2/3 through the final revision of novel 2 before submission has added about 4000 words and it is coming in at about 112,000 words which is 2000 words longer than novel 1 The Confession

It's snowing here and although it is a very soggy "English" snow it does give some hope of a white Christmas which could be quite nice - haven't seen one for many years.

So in the end I made thev $5+ again which on one hand is great but slightly disappointing mainly due to the dip in BCH. I have 5% of a new one but even though my BCH has grown its value hasnt Should be grateful every gift I guess

So now have 4 writing projects underway (and this does not Include The Confession) 1) Novel 2 The Hard Road Back - final proofing 2) Novel 3 The Forest (working title) - about 15,000 words 3) Character Biopics - just started 4 shortish biographies of the four main characters 4) Novel 4 Made Whole (working title) - 2000 words so far but decided the trilogy actually is a quadrology and the last book is essential to finish the story off. Everything is looking a bit greener today. Just done a quick calculation and despite the carnage on the markets this month I am down 7.6% compared to 30 November, but still up more than 75% over all Definitely learning to manage these dips much better :D How are you all doing?

A couple of weeks behind saying Mama BabyRah has now just said Daddy for the first time and in an echo of how he said Mama he repeated it twice. I am so touched.

Update concerning Simon Kelly (#fundsimonkelly) Last night after suggesting to Noise that I run another fund raiser I contacted Simon's wife Kamila to tell her my intentions but with a clear "no promises" She wrote back fairly quickly Last Thursday she woke up to find Simon completely unresponsive and she was terrified and called the ambulance. He regained consciousness but in the hospital they have now, despite the recent good news that the cancer had stopped spreading and…

Concerning Simon Kelly I set the bar to 20 affirmative YESes to run the fund raiser again in January. As promised this is just a reminder which I will do periodically up to and including Christmas Day (25th) Thus far we stand at 8/.20. Just a reminder, dont feel compelled to say YES. Only do so if you think it is right too

MamaRah is testy today - those of you who know Polish culture it is the whole Poiska Matka thing - I am taking BabyRah out - escape for both of us. On another note while I have not hit the 20 for Simon Kelly I have received such emphatic responses from the NINE at last count that I am going to run with it anyway unless Noise;Cash Admins or Marc himself says otherwise.

it's just after 6am here and babyrah is awake so I've got up with him. this is the view from our kitchen. in poland Christmas festivities take place on Christmas eve so for the first time in many many years we have a white Christmas

so christmas supper done and babyrah delighted with his presents and has sat quite contentedly playing. he's not a big fan of sitting so it's an additional reward and tomorrow we do it allagain tbe English way
