Just want to pick up on something @Esmee wrote earlier and I have seen at least one other post warning of scams. We all need to be wary when we encounter such posts however genuine fund raising can also be found on such platforms as ours. Many of you know I ran a fund raiser back in October #fundsimonkelly and there are some pointers that i used to demonstrate the genuineness of the fund raiser - it was verified externally - Go Fund Me - I stated clearly what i was doing and which funds were to be allocated (unfortunately Noise's slight change of policy made this a bit harder to show - since then they have changed back) - I made myself accountable by producing a full report which additionally I published on both Read:Cash and P0x - I made a clear and direct donation on Go Fund Me in which I referenced the Noise community - not known by many I made a relatively large contribution myself to the fund which could actually be verfied if i wish because I did it through a third party who is active on Noise / Read and P0x So yes there are scams and all kinds of dodgy dealings out there, so if you do wish to give make sure that it comes with a checklist similar to mine. I am not saying my template was an exemplar, but it did have transparency and accountability Just my thoughts on the matter.
