Contentment
March 24, 2022
True contentment is not having everything, but in being satisfied with everything you have.-Oscar Wilde
Do you still pursuit the impossible? Are you still eager on getting that thing you want amidst being broke?
I had the chance to go outside and have some lunch with my co-worker and while waiting for our food I heard the other table are talking about these. The young girl answer that nothing is impossible if you believe in miracles. Do people still believe in miracles these days?
Then I told myself? Am I pursuing something impossible too? yes I guess, my freedom..lol!!!
Contentment isĀ the state of being happy and satisfied.
We often forget these words especially if we are striving to be successful that we often forgot the main reason why we are eager to achieve those.
As I have observed with the new generation today, youngsters often are not satisfied especially if their gadgets are not yet updated and they would ask their parents for a new one even though the current gadget they're using is just a year behind the new trend.
Some also would buy clothes even though they have a lot on their closet, yet they're still complaining on their due dates. I am one of those being guilty over these matters for I love tees so much that I can't control myself not buying if I saw something that would caught my eyes.
You can buy a lot of things but you can't even get to help the financial crisis of the family. You always say that you've work hard for it so you must reward yourself with the things that you love to buy. I am also guilty over this matter most of the time. I am unreasonable sometimes that it became a habit.
I saw a lot of people posting about their success and I am really happy for them especially if I know where they have come and they really did get to where they are now because they work hard for it. And then they will say that they are contented.
I once asked Mum what are the things that she felt contented with and she told me that being healthy and getting to eat three times a day is already okay for her. She don't value luxury of material things.
Being contented by the life given to you is good but you also want to buy the things you want to that you worked hard for it and that is what we called satisfaction.
I actually don't make sense in anything I said. This just came to mind while I was in a zoom meeting with my friends in the community.
Both of them are in their Forties already and they both singles also. They decided to resign this year because they're tired and they want to enjoy life while they still can with no support at all. Then I asked them how about their families whom are depending on them. And they told me that they supported them for to long. And it's also time for them to value their own selves although they are contented on what they have achieved as of the moment.
I just derived my thoughts on that.
I would like to thank my beb @Sequoia for the sponsorship renewal...thanks so much beb...wabyuuuuuuu
