It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's... a Dragon!
This week's Splinterlands Share Your Battle is pretty exciting. Expect some expert moves and winning strategies because the possibilities are endless. That is because this week's theme is: Dragons!
You can use any monster under the Dragon Splinters. Let the battle of the mythical beasts begin!
The battle that was assigned to me was capped at 27. It's a pretty high mana cap so I expect this battle to be all out.
For the summoner, I chose the only Dragon summoner available to me, it's Drake of Arnak.
Drake of Arnak grants a +1 armor to all the summoned monsters. This little advantage can spell a great deal of mismatch when the opponent relies heavily on melee attacks.
Cursed Windeku posed as my tank.
I like this monster because it has a high HP at 9 and decent attack speed and damage that come in 3 and 2 respectively. It has also the Thorn ability that allows it to counter any melee attack that hits it. All these good traits come at only 6 mana points. That's a pretty great deal.
On the second position, I brought another Dragon to the field.
Twilight Basilisk is a good second liner because it has the Reach ability which allows it to attack from the second position despite being a melee attacker. It also benefits from the Drake of Arnak because its armor is buffed up from 1 to 2. It is pretty fast too with a 3 point speed.
The third position is the Skeleton Assassin.
The Skeleton Assassin has only 2 HP so I wanted to shield it. I don't want to open it up to frontal attacks and hits that come from behind. It's a pretty fast attacker with 4 speed. An extra shield of comfort is added to its stats by Drake's buff.
Undead Badger in the fourth position.
I placed the Undead Badger here for the same reason why I placed the Skeleton Assassin on third. With just 1 HP point, it really could use the additional armor from the Drake of Arnak.
The fifth place is dedicated to my only magic attacker, Life Sapper.
Life Sapper is a ranged monster so I placed it way behind. It benefits from Drake's buff too because it only has 2 HP.
The last position, I reserved for the Silent Sha-VI.
Serving as a rearguard, this monster guards my lineup against attacks from behind. With 5 HP and the additional armor point from Drake of Arnak's buff, this is a pretty sturdy monster to serve as rear vanguard. Also, it can attack from any position despite being a melee-type monster so it's a good idea to place it away from the tank.
The battle begins.
The opponent picked up Earth Splinters to take to the battlefield. This will be a magical , tricks-under-your-sleeves kind of match.
After mocking each other, both summoners raised their hands and summoned the monsters to fight for them.
Round 1
As I expected, both sides brought 6 monsters completely filling up the 26 mana cap of the battle. It may be a difficult battle because the enemy has a healer behind them.
Again, I say "behind". Monsters exchanged hits and a loud thud silenced the rowdy crowd.
Round 2
The enemy's advantage was taken out in the very first round. The healer that stood behind the monsters was killed by my monsters with Sneak ability. And if you can recall, I have 3. The psychic Goblin didn't even stand a chance. Round 2 started with the enemy's lineup down by 1 monster.
Round 3
The second round ended when my monsters took down 2 more of the opponent's monsters. Their camp is now down to three monsters. I only had to sacrifice one monster so far. The advantage looks clear and the outcome is nothing but reached.
Round 4
With just one monster on the field, the enemy camp looked desolated and defeated. My monsters let out an all-out attack to kill the magical deer on the other side.
But to everybody's surprise, all the attacks from my monsters connected by the magical deer still stood straight.
Round 5
Although they were in shock, the monsters didn't even stop to think what had happened and they didn't even take a single moment to applaud the deer's bravery and resiliency. They launched another coordinated attack and this time, it was over. Feathers from its wings floating around everywhere.
The summoner was swallowed by the Earth in an attempt to flee the doom she was facing.
I sure hope that you enjoyed my little commentary but if you'd rather see the gameplay first-hand, I recorded it for you.
You can watch it here:
The strategy I used this time worked better than the opponent's magic trick. The fierce Sneak attackers were made even fearful by the additional armor from the Drake of Arnak. Given the same scenario, I would still use the same lineup and stick with it. Hit fast and hit hard.

the only game that I know how to play is Candy crush and plants vs. zombie, it looks so hard for me to play that kind of game, but it seems you really love that game. Just enjoy it.😊
