Have you laughed enough today?
Laughter is known to be the best medicine that stimulates the whole body to feel energized and refreshed. If you are feeling exhausted, laughing can boost your oxygen intake and release endorphins which is the feel-good hormones that makes you happy.
Laughing is Free and Effective to Feel Better, Reduce Stress, Boost Immunity, Promote Heart Health and Build Confidence.
Now, let's dig deeper the benefits we gain from laughing:
1. Laughter Makes You Feel Better
Have you ever been super stressed on your upcoming exams because you're not ready yet, or your deadlines at work is near but you're far from done, plus the endless argument that you exchanged with your coworker or everyone else around you just feels so annoying but then you scrolled on social media and saw a very hilarious meme that made you laugh so hard you almost wet yourself?
It is amazing how much better an explosive laugh can make us feel, especially if it’s totally out of the blue!
2. Laughter Reduces Stress
We all have our bad days. Sometimes we just wish to disappear in some moments that we feel really frustrated and angry. "Arrghh" or "Grrrr" are just some the sounds that we make to put up with what we feel. But why don't we just laugh it out? We can always choose how to react on things. No matter how suffocating or stressing the situation that we face, our reaction is always our choice, so keep it positive.
3. Laughter Boost Your Immunity.
Laughing is a free medicine, so take it as much as you could.
Negative stress causes chemical reactions in your body that decrease your immunity, making it more likely you will get sick. A hearty laugh fuels your immune system with disease-fighting powers that will help you stay healthy and energetic.
Laughing raises your heart rate and caloric expenditure, resulting in about 10-40 calories burned over 15 minutes of laughter according to a study by the International Journal Obesity.
4. Laughter Promotes Heart Health.
Laughter reduces blood pressure and improves blood flow, which will in turn reduce your odds of suffering a stroke or heart attack. So let's fill our hearts with joy and genuine happiness.
5. Laughter Boosts Confidence.
Sure none of us is perfect, we make mistakes, plenty of it. But what's the deal here? If you are confident with yourself, then making mistakes would be a tool to help you to grow and prosper. Learning to laugh at yourself will help you develop an ability to improvise through any bone-headed decision you might make. Imagine that you're delivering a speech and forgot the next line of the statement, but you improvised, made some changes and still delivered your speech. No matter how messed up you could get, if you know how to laugh at you're own drawback and learn to handle it, then congratulations for becoming a pro at improvising and you sure will become unstoppable.
I hope that you all are laughing enough everyday to enjoy all these benefits.
