2 Ways, 1 Choice. Which path should we take?
First things first, let us talk about choices and my perspective about it. Do you believe that we always have a choice? Because I do. We are always left with choices, there is no such thing as "I have no choice that is why I did it", there is no such thing as dead end.
In the end, we have a choice to do something or to do nothing. We hold the choice whether to do the right thing or not. For instance, it was your final exam, your grades are not that great and you have to pass it, otherwise, you will fail the subject. At that very moment, you weren't totally prepared for the exam when you saw an opportunity to cheat. The answer of your seatmate is open and you only have to look to your right and you will get the correct answer.
You see, there are 2 choices for it. First, it is to stand on your principles, hold on to your moral value and not cheat even though your grades is on the line. Or second, you might give in to the temptation and to avoid guilt, you will say that you didn't have a choice because you didn't want to fail.
I hope the thought is clear. I am not telling you to share the same perspective as me but that's what I thought. Most often, we will always face two or even more ways but we only have one choice and we hold the decision on which path should we take.
Life is a matter of choices and we are responsible for the decision we make. Imagine two closed doors in front on you. We don't know what both of the doors can offer to us but we have to enter a one of it so that we can continue on our journey.
The thought of entering into the unknown is terrifying. Deciding which door should we enter holds a lot of pressure. We don't know anything unless we go into it and the moment we enter it, there is also no assurance that we'll reach the other end of it.
But here's the deal. Whatever path we choose, we might not know what is waiting for us on our journey, what's important is that we stand on our decision, we take the courage to step forward, and we fight all the challenges that we'll face ahead of us. That is the only way we can reach our destination.
And if ever that the door we enter leads us to another closed door, just keep on choosing which door to enter and continue on your journey. As the quote said, "closed doors often leads us to the right one" so let us continue on our journey, no giving up, and soon enough, we'll reach the end of it.
And again, if ever that we feel like there is no other way, that we will face another dead end, then make a way for yourself. Create a way, begin another journey, continue with that journey until we succeed on reaching the end.
After all, success is a life-long journey. It never ends. We have to keep going, we have to create new ways, we have to open every doors until we succeed on finding the right one.
Before I end this, here are few reminders that all of us should always remember.
You always have a choice. Explore those choices and be careful to make the right call.
Closed doors doesn't always mean failure, sometimes, it often leads us to the right one.
You are responsible for the choices you make, so stand for it.
Success is a life-long process so continue to walk on your journey. Rest if you must but always find the will to continue even though you haven't seen the end of it yet.
Be confident on the choices you make.
Lastly, remember that you are not alone in your journey. There are people who loves you, there are people who supports you. Find motivation in them.
With that, allow me to leave this verse as parting words for this article.
3 John 1:2 NIV Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
I agree with you, my mentorssissmm. We always have a choice, but if we cannot use or handle it carefully, we may not be able to get what we desires or what we want to do correctly.
