The Christmas season is a time of God and I say that because to think of God is to think of love. Everyone wants to help others, people bring out the best in themselves and offer much more than what they have.
Christmas brings back the best memories of our childhood. It makes us remember our childhood, our past, our relatives who have gone to meet God, apart from the nostalgia that it may bring us for what we have lost, it brings us the enthusiasm for the lights, the trees, the typical foods of the season.
It’s a time of rejoicing where people who don’t talk to God feel the desire to do so. It’s a time when people who congregate feel the excitement of participating in the Easter celebration.
It’s a special occasion where believers commemorate a date that was chosen for the birth of the Christ child, because all Christians know that our savior was not born on December 25, no one knows exactly when, but we do know that it is on this date that we commemorate him and we do it with our deepest love and respect for the Christian tradition.
Returning to the festivity, these dates bring to our hearts a lot of joy. We think of giving gifts to our loved ones, children, parents, siblings, friends, and we even think of the most vulnerable, those who are on the street, those who are alone, those who are in the elderly, hospitals or sick in some forgotten place.
But it’s at this time of the year when we remember that there is much need in others. That there is much need of attention, of solidarity, of empathy with the forgotten human being.
Can we simply not remember them? No, we cannot, because when there is the joy of goodness in our hearts no one is forgotten.
I notice these days that there are many challengers in the ranks of read.cash giving gifts to the users of the platform.
This is what we call Christmas, this is what we call God, this is love of our neighbor. Because in some way we have been more benefited by God's love. Luck? Effort? Whatever we have dedicated ourselves to succeed in life, but we should thank God infinitely for our better position today thanks to the blessings of our decisions.
Christmas is a date that awakens our inner child. It makes us forget grudges, illnesses, confrontations and many other things that prevent us from living joy to the fullest.
It makes us forget our economic situation, we forget our precariousness and we choose to be happy with what we have and with those around us.
Why don't we feel this joy all the time? Why we do not feel like giving in the rest of the year? Why does our feeling of love go to sleep in the rest of the time and we don't have these desires to share what little we have with others?
It's something I ask myself all the time. What is it about this month, this waiting for the commemoration of the birth of our savior, that it makes us more humble and more in solidarity with one another.
In our homes we have food on the table and we share with all who visit us. We dare to take from our belongings to those who need it most and that is beautiful to do.
Giving is the best feeling of satisfaction one can have in life. When we receive gifts, we feel loved and appreciated by the people who give to us, but when we are the ones sharing that is the best feeling in creation.
I love Christmas, I love the feelings it provokes in our being, I love the great ideas that people come up with to make others happy. It’s a time of much love.
That's why these days I give you all a virtual hug in the distance. Wherever you are, receive all my love, all my prayers so that the great read.cash family remains in love and harmony giving the best of itself to everyone and to each one of us.
