November 2022 - my crypto journey
Friday, 2nd of December 2022
Well, hello December! I know many people all-over the world get extremely excited to greet December. Some already start playing Christmas songs in the summer even!
Me? I'm a proper Christmas Grinch! The only thing I am really looking forward to in December is the extra time off from work and hopefully lots of salsa parties in between 🤣
Whether I like it or celebrate it or not, the collective vibe is EXCITEMENT and being an empath means I get greatly affected by it, so I am getting excited too! Before I fully move into December, let me look back at my November and see how did I do with my online hustles.
Numbers, numbers, numbers!
Looking at my October report, I had 318 followers by the end of the month and today it is 328, so around 10 increase again. The increase still surprises me every time, because I'm not super active online and in general it seems much less people are active here comparing to last year.
In noise.cash my current count is 2385. It is exactly the same number as last month. Noise.cash has been very quiet these days and probably it’s not gonna last much longer, but I still visit it every so often to see if it’s alive. Needless to say there are no earnings anymore.
Noise app continues to be a super star for the month of November. Pretty much everyone has already migrated there (less spammers though) and my follower count is increasing by a few every single day. I closed October at 244 and I was a little late to take a screenshot of my profile today, so I’ll use my favourite one this month 333! Slightly less than 100 people have decided that my content is worth following. Truth be told it could be much more, but I regularly unfollow people I am not interested in and the price for it is that they unfollow me too, which is fair.
As some of you know October 2022 marked the beginning of a new Hive journey. I took my journey there seriously this time, although I’ve been slacking with posting this week. The beauty of Hive though is the HP. Once you stake enough Hive you rip benefits whether you’re posting or not. You just need to read, upvote and comment and still earn. In October I had 18 followers. This month I am closing with 56, which was quite an achievement, considering people are not that keen on following there, as you can just add people to your favourites.
To be fair, I started to do the same this month. At first I eagerly followed everyone who upvoted my article, but I soon realised this wasn’t the greatest approach. I ended up with an uneven split of followers/following, which never looks great. So for now I’m just adding people to my favourites and if their content speaks to me, then I eventually follow.
My November earnings across platforms
In read.cash I have been slacking like a lazy woman. I blame Hive for it! I got so involved with the community there, that I mainly just visit read.cash to read and distribute tips to my favourite writers.
The tips are small and far between, so I don’t really see it as an earning platform at the moment, rather a place where I can hang out with the fam and share some blessings.
I said I’ll be aiming for 10 articles in November, but I should really keep this hidden from Ernesto, cause as soon as he sees targets and goals he takes a great pleasure in sabotaging them 😂
In fact, I wrote so little, that all my articles fit into one screenshot! 4 articles, one for each week. Well, that’s nice. I think I can manage one article a week going forward.
The total for my 4 articles came to barely 0.074 BCH. Well, goodbye the months I have been getting around 0.3 BCH or so. I would have to put much more time for this to continue to happen. The time which I can’t spare at the moment. The total of tips on my articles was $14.58, but like I said - I just spend it on tips and sponsorships. It makes other people happy, so it’s still a win-win 😍
New noise app continues to amaze us every day. Well, maybe not every day, as I hear that there were some dry spells. Needless to say I barely noticed, cause I lack time to track my earnings daily.
Despite not being extremely active, I still closed November with an extra 0.104 BCH in my wallet. Sure it’s only $10 extra today, but if you know me, you will also know that I never ever withdrew a penny from my crypto earnings. I hodl it, I keep it on saving accounts, I reinvest it, I loose it, but I never withdraw it. It I’ll withdraw that 0.1 BCH in years to come, when it is worth $1000 rather than $10 😁
Thanks to… I really can’t remember who helped me with this last month. Was it @Ruffa ? I think so. I found the mysteriously missing 'Send all' function hidden under 3 dots. Isn’t it brilliant to have a huge and helpful community. Everyone is always happy to help 😍
What happened in Hive?
Like I said - Hive is a new and exciting journey of 2022. I didn’t include any earnings from Hive for my October report, because I had no payouts then. In Hive all payouts happen 7 days after posting, so I guess reporting it will be a little different. I will opt for an easy report for now - overall account value at the end of each month.
If you’re on Hive, you’ll know that there is much more to it. There are layers upon layers of earnings opportunities, but to keep things simple, overall value will suffice. In total, my wallet is worth around $72. I earned much more than this including tokens and game assets. I estimate I spent around $30 extra for starting games too, so let’s say my total will be $100.
In total I posted articles on Hive since I joined at the end of October.
Content creation total
The total for the month of November for content creation came to 0.178 BCH or around $20. That’s another drop from October’s 0.242 BCH. As always - I am happy and grateful with every little extra I add to my portfolio from my side hustles. We are still in the depths of bear market and it’s all about the long game in crypto.
Trading and DeFi
November has been a month full of everything - challenges, excitements, tears of joy and despair. Above all it has been a busy month, so I haven’t been doing much trading and such.
I opted for a steady growth by occasional content creation, growing new social media accounts and of course a lot of dancing! The more I stress and try, the more miserable effect - I end up FOMO-ing into all kinds of shit 😂 The more fun I have however, the more I am surprised with the long time effects of my efforts.
My Binance Earn savings
My staked BCH on Binance is bringing me has increased last month, as I added some as a part of my monthly ‘pension plan’. Instead of 0.00021925 BCH every day I am now receiving 0.00033103 BCH every day. That’s 0.00993 extra BCH in my wallet for literally no effort at all. I guess the effort is the risk of keeping my BCH on the centralised exchange, but as you know my BCH is always spread into many various wallets, dexes and exchanges to minimise the risk.
Just like last month, I added last month’s interest into the savings, plus a little extra. The beauty of cumulative interest is put to work for my advantage 😁 I have some other coins and tokens in my savings there too, but BCH is my best earner and the one I care about the most.
Do you remember me talking about pawning my 0.5BCH, so I can earn some nice APR from LP last month? Well, that was a drama! In the busyness of November I forgot to top up my pawn position when BCH price crashed and my 0.5BCH was liquidated 😂 That’s what happens when you have a huge appetite for risk, but you lack consistency! Don’t be like me!
Well, never mind. I didn’t loose much, as my pawned $50 or so is still safely staked and I’m earning Law from it at a nice rate still. I was in a bit of a panic mode when I realised I can also get my law position (1332 Law) liquidated and in a despair of the moment I put up my LawPunk for sale. Once all was under control I forgot I have it on sale and was surprised to see over 1 BCH on my secondary wallet one of those mornings 😂
I wanted to keep all my 7 Law Punks for the times when the bridge to ETH opens and hopefully earn nicely on it, but hey ho, nothing beats nice and round 1BCH in your wallet.
Due to the liquidation and the sale of one of my Punks, my Law income was not so amazing, but there is always something to brag about:
30 LAW for my lawUSD-bcUSDT@LAWSWAP LP (+0.8 LAW referral reward),
No idea how much LAW for my lawUSD-LAW@LAWSWAP (+2 LAW referral reward). I didn’t take any ss’s in a panic mode 😂 That position is now gone, as I used part of the LO to pay of some of my loan in BlockNG.
34 Law for my 6 LawPunks staked.
The total Law I earned came to only 64 this month, which is 0.083 BCH at the current price. Today I decided to be a good girl and exchange all the earnings to LawUSD to pay off some of my Pawn to avoid the panic when the BCH drips again.
November total
The total for all my side hustles came to 0.261 BCH (around $28 😂) plus around $100 from Hive. Looking at the end numbers I guess you can see why my efforts are mainly in Hive these days. Of course, I’m still active on all my socials and read.cash will always be my crypto home, but with little time left after work and dancing, I need to pick and choose.
That said, I have managed to complete my November summary and I’m off to sleep! Happy hustling peeps!
Until next time 💙
it's choosing which platform to maintain that's challenging.
