Last November 1st, AxieBCH Dojo conducted its first Black Box Lottery, which made me the lucky winner and won $50 worth of BCH. It was a fun time for us because that was our first-ever event in AxieBCH. Unfortunately, they could only pick one lucky winner, which gave coach @Nazko the idea of doing minigames in their next event to give others a chance to win extra prizes.
When it was finally announced that there would be another event, we all got excited about it. I, myself, was super thrilled coz aside from the fun stuff, there would be prizes involved too. Who doesn't like prizes, anyway? So as days passed by, we got all super excited, especially when we learned that there would be some sort of quiz game. We already speculated that the quiz would most likely be about AxieBCH, BCH, and Axie Infinity. Since I've been around for 2 months, I was pretty confident that I would pass the quiz game.
There were supposed to be 5 minigames for this event: Kahoot (quiz game), Skribble, Word Bomb, Gartic Phone, and Trivia Quiz.
First round: Kahoot (quiz game)
However, something came up a few days before the big day. My furbaby Kiara was diagnosed with distemper, and my thoughts were kind of messed up since then that I forgot about the event. It was on the 20th when coach Nazko posted a reminder and I, who was so busy taking care of Kiara and cleaning the house, lost track of the date and came on Discord 20 minutes late. The event started at 8 pm (PH time) and when I came there, everyone was already talking about their scores.
Trivia: Kahoot is a quiz game site, where the host can add questions about anything and everything. The coaches, however, changed this rule so instead of going to the site, they decided to use the Google Form for this round.
I was kind of sad at that time because I was so excited about it but didn't even get the chance to participate. Still, I stayed there to support my friends and was ready to congratulate those who have passed the first round. When coach Nazko announced the second game, I asked him if I could watch. I just wanted to witness the game myself coz I never played Skribble or Gartic Phone before but to my surprise, instead of hearing a no, he asked me if I got to play the first game. Of course, I said I didn't and when I was ready for a NO as his answer, he said another thing.
Second round: Skribble
Well, guess what? He told me that I could join and play for the next round. I was okay with just watching but he told me that I could join so who am I to refuse? So after the Quiz Game, we moved on to the Scribble game, wherein we draw an object based on the word we choose and let the other participants guess for the answer. Anyone who guesses it correctly will receive points. The faster you answer it correctly, the bigger the points you get.
During the first round, I was a little slow since I didn't what I was doing. I didn't know there was a clue and I kept guessing words that were obviously the wrong ones. When I finally understood the concept, I was able to catch up on the scores and ranked #4 in our first round. In the second round, I did my best, and to make the story long short, I finished top 1.
Third round: Gartic Phone
I had no idea what the Gartic Phone game was, which made me nervous coz I might lose this round. Turned out that this game is easy but with so much fun! So how does it works? Each participant will be given enough time to draw anything they choose. Once everyone is finished, you will have to replicate others' drawings to the best of your ability. You will only be given a limited time to finish or unfinished, you will proceed to the next drawing until you manage to draw all.
Now the fun part didn't stop there. Once everyone is done, you will then see the results. From the original drawing to each participant's version. I drew a simple suitcase and in the end, they drew a robot. LOL. Some drawings were really good, too, but the other versions were super hilarious. All of us were laughing so hard and if only we could talk (only the coaches are allowed to) on VC, we'd all be hearing everyone laughing hard.
Out of 16 participants, only 2 were out because they failed to replicate some of the drawings. I also made a mistake, too, when I made a fish red when it was supposed to be blue. LOL.
Fourth and final round: Word Bomb
The coaches decided to do the Word Bomb as the final game coz it was already late for the Pinoy participants. In this game, we are given 2-3 letters and once it is our turn to answer, we need to type a word that contains those letters. For instance, the given letters are ING, you can type INGredients or climbING. It doesn't matter if the given letters are placed in the front, center, or last, as long as these letters are in the correct order. You are given three hears by default, which means that if you run out of hearts (life), then you're out!
Unfortunately, I failed to survive the game, and only @MegaKyodaiBanrai, Sieraphine, @JiroXShin, and katheraynne made it to the final 4. All of them are already winners but the one who won the first prize is none other than my Zombie friend, MEGA! Although I didn't win, I was already happy because Mega made it to the top.
Prizes
Lucky winners will receive the corresponding prizes in AxieBCH:
Closing thoughts
First and foremost, I want to thank the coaches for letting me join even though I came pretty late. Thanks to them I was able to participate and experience the fun. Honestly, this November 20th event was the best thing that ever happened in my entire online existence.
We really enjoyed it. My favorite round was when we did the Gartic Phone. I couldn't stop laughing at that time, seeing all the drawings and how silly some of our entries were. And despite not winning any prize, I went to bed that day with a happy heart and mind. It was really relaxing and felt like we were having a company party. Lol.
I also asked one of the coaches if we could play the game on discord with our fellow scholars. Since we were not allowed to spam the main chat with random links, he immediately created another channel exclusive just for the minigames. So tonight, hopefully, the zombies (scholars and members who stay late or up until morning) are complete and we could play any of these games again. Yay! I can't wait to play it again.
Indeed, AxieBCH Dojo is not just a typical guild that only focuses on earning SLPs but a guild that feels like a family. In our guild, we support one another whether you're already a scholar who needs help to improve your gameplay or a member who is still waiting to be voted by the other scholars. In this guild, we don't discriminate. In fact, we always make sure that the newcomers will still feel at home even if it's their first day in the chatroom.
In AxieBCH Dojo, even the coaches and the manager themselves don't treat you as just their scholars. They treat us as friends. As what @Clockey mentioned in his article, while most coaches and managers only interact with their scholars when it's related to the game, ours are always visible and ready to have fun with us. Plus, they are all kind, approachable, and very understanding. Seriously, they are one of a kind.
With that being said, I invite you to join our Discord channel but first, be sure to read this first. Want to know more? Feel free to read my articles below:
