Ever since I have started writing here I have only published 4 articles from my Youtube channel. The very first one was the recipe of budae jjigae (Korean army stew). I believe it was the second article that I have published here.
Then after a week, I published an article about my Youtube channel. I cannot remember what I have written there but I believe that I told stories about why or how I decided to make a channel. Even if you haven't read it you would know the reason as to why. You got that right! It was for the money. LOL. Sadly I am not yet monetized no matter how much I promoted my channel.
@Momentswithmatti shared her experiences in doing a live stream on her live stream for more watch hours article. During the start of the pandemic I did watch a lot of starting Youtubers with their live streams. It is a chance for other Youtubers to increase their subscribers and watch hours. As much as I wanted to do my own live stream, I cannot. Why? Because I am shy to be in front of the camera. LOL. I think most of you knew about that by now.
Just like how I did on the second video that I uploaded on Youtube. It was taken early of January 2020 when I heard about the news that Jollibee was going to phase out my favorite hamburger, their Champ hamburger. What I love about Jollibee's Champ is because it is big. Of course I love the taste but the size matters for me. If it was a regular Jolliber hamburger or their Yumburger, I can have 3 of it plus a spaghetti and an extra large fries. My drink can be a small or a medium sized because I am not that of a drinker. Sometimes I even take home the drink because I still have half left.
After hearing about the news, I asked my mom that we go to a nearby Jollibee store so I can still eat it before they phase it out. Though when we arrived, they said that they are not selling it anymore. I was a little irritated by the staff at the counter because that person asked another person if they still have Champ and the person answered woth a tone that they do not have it anymore. It was just so saddening that they have just announced it and then right away they stopped serving it. I just ordered a different burger but I was really sad.
In the video I only ordered 1 meal and the other one for my my mom. There was no any side orders for me because I was actually on a diet. I think I started late 2019 that I even uploaded everything that I ate on my Kiki account, a photo blogging platform, before. It was like a "What I eat in a day?" kind of blog. It was actually hard because I know I lasted more than 100 days. There were days that I would just collage everything that I eat so I can post it as 1 post. The more pictures, the more words I have to say.
Going back to my video, this was actually my first video for 2020. My first video, Where to eat: Seoulgyupsal | The Foodist Diary, was taken late 2019. This Jollibee video is actually my first take on trying to really vlog myself. However as you can see that I did not totally show my face. I just ate my meal ala mukbang style. My high school friends and their husbands or boyfriends laughed at me when we watched it together on TV. It was because I ate my burger to fast. I told them it was because I made the video faster but it was indeed fast. I think it was a total of 5 minutes when I finished my burger. Well it was a small burger. If it was Jollibee's Champ, I would have finish it probably in 10 minutes. If it's a big burger, I usually savor it. I would even use a fork and a knife. As of typing this I am picturing Jollibee's Champ and Burger King's Whopper. Woohoo! I miss eating a hamburger.
My friends laughed at me even more when they saw the end clip. The audio was not that good because there was a tricycle that passed by when I was walking back home. It was because I bought a cheese bread rolled in sugar after my Jollibee meal. I saw an old man in a bicycle selling those and bought few pieces. I told in the video that I bought it because I was still hungry. LOL. After few months, I have found out that Jollibee's Champ was back but I still have not eaten it yet after its comeback.
Have you watched my Jollibee video? What can you say about it? What do you think do I need to improve? As of the moment I still do not have any courage to show my face whether here or in Youtube so you can exclude that one. LOL. I tried taking a video of my whole face together with my friend, A, but I did not include that in my Where to eat: Hanako | The Foodist Diary video. Let me know what you think I can improve and if you have some suggestions whether a dish or restaurant, just say it and I will really save up for that.
It has been months since I last checked my watch hours on Youtube. But I am positive that I failed on my goal. This January I know I have said I wanted to complete both 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours. Currently its 289 subscribers and the last time I checked I know I had 100+ watch hours. Still have a looooooooong way to go for me to reach that watch hours. I created my channel January 2020. It is already a year and a half and I am still not monetized. I know it is also my fault because I was not able to focused on it. Budget problems. Also had phone storage problems last year which makes it difficult for me to take a lot of videos. Now it's just budget problems because I already have a new phone. That is why I am asking for some opinions and suggestions so that if I would start making a video again, I would know. My family and friends have already shared their opinions and suggestions before. The more, the better. Hoping to hear from all of you.
P.S. my lead image was a screenshot from my Youtube channel. I do not have the cover photo that I have used in my Jollibee thumbnail anymore so I chose that.
I also want to create a Youtube channel to earn din. Please don't be discouraged. Yung kakilala ko, it took her more than a year and a half before na-monetize. Fighting!
ps. Ito pala ang account nyo! hehe. I struggled searching it, the thing is, it is bby in your username, I kept typing babyblacksheep lol! I enkoyed reading this po. Fighting! Looking forward for more articles from you. <3
