My Engagement Ceremony
"I'd choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality. I'd find you and I'd choose you." ~Kiersten White
The home was decorated with colorful light and Rose, Ranunculus, Peony, Dahlia, Lilac Tulip. White, pink and skyblue colored curtains hang around the walls. Mom, Dad, Tahira ( My Youngest Sister), Hurram ( My Nieces) along with relatives and guest present in the home. Wedding songs were playing on the speaker in low volume. I was glad to see everyone happy around me. Aunty knocked room door and asked me to come with her to meet with relatives and perform Henna Ritual before engagement. I followed her to the laung where arrangements were made for females celebration. My mother kiss my forehead and pray for my happiness.
Girls surrounded me started to sing traditional song. They beaten small drum π₯. One of the girls started to apply Henna on my hand and feet. It took almost 2 hours to complete designing on hands and feet. I was tired badly but glad to see everyone happy around me. They all were gathered to celebrate my engagement. I was going to be engaged with love of my life. Engagement is regarded as Nikah in our tribe. I was nervous and happy for the occasion held tomorrow. While thinking about the function and future life, I didn't notice when I fallen in deep sleep.
Around 4 : 00 PM I reached at the venue of Engagement Ceremony. Actually I and Abdullah ( My Pheonce) are nature lover. That's why we arrange the venue in Palace's Garden Near Artificial Lake.
I was dressed in white gown because I really love the wedding gown that people belonging to Christianity wear on weddings traditionally. We Muslim wear Red Dress on wedding and that's why I decided to wear white gown on engagement because I wanted to look like fairy on my special day. I along my family met the guest and relatives who were present at the occasion.
" Meeting you was a fate, becoming your friend was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control." @Zainab_Fatima
Sighhhh!!!! It really lack words to explain the moment when I saw Abdullah in front of me. He was looking adorable. No prince can compete him in beauty or style on our special day. He come forward to hold my hand and brought me to the stage. This hold was going to be consent to holding each other whole life. We promised to stay by side always in face of ups and down of life. We will help, support and motivate each other to work for their own goals. Our relationship based on happiness, loyalty and respect.
Abdullah wishpered
" Will You Be Mine?"
"Yes, Today, Yes Tomorrow. Yes For All The Days Of My Life."
We exchanged the Engage Rings with permission of our parents. Later on we cut the engagement cake and dine with the guest and family. We had couple dance for awhile together. Everyone congratulate us and bless us with prayers.
The photographer asked for his time to capture the beautiful memories of the day. I & Abdullah really enjoyed our photo session. It was first time I was closed to Abdullah to capture romantic images. I was related because we are engaged now. We had group photos with family, friends and cousins.
When the function over, I was dropped to home by Abdullah.
"I dreamed of this day from the first time I saw you. Finally the day has come to officially make you mine. Happy Engagement To My Love." This what I said him and went inside the home.
To get married, get engaged and be in love is every human being's dream. Everyone of us wanted to celebrate his/her big day according to his/her desire and traditions. I pray for all the couples' happiness who are going to start their new life. May Almighty Allah shower countless blessings on them.
