Responding To Questions For Taken ( My Version )

A cold day everyone! After a couple of days ranting for the scorching heat of the sun, finally the sky pour it's rain. I'm sure the farmers in our place were glad for their fields and crops were all showered. I thanked God for this. The other day, I have read @Eybyoung 's article with a title "Random Questions For Taken". I decided to join the prompt because I found it very captivating. But since I was busy for our family outing yesterday, I failed to make my version. Then yesterday, my friend @Janz and tagged @Marinov me to join the said prompt. So, I followed the site manintelligence.com, where sis Eybyoung got the questions. https://read.cash/@Eybyoung/random-questions-for-taken-750f27f2 https://www.mantelligence.com/relationship-questions/ Okay, enough of the introductions. Let's start answering! **DO YOU THINK A COUPLE’S FINANCES SHOULD BE TOGETHER OR SEPARATE?** We all know that finances is very important, especially if you already have a child. For me, finances should be together. As couple, though we are not married yet, we already considered each other as part of one another. What's his is mine and what's mine is also his. So, if we need to buy something, we have to agreed it first. **DO YOU THINK PAST RELATIONSHIP SECRETS SHOULD ALWAYS BE KEPT HIDDEN?** For me, to have a good relationship, you have to be open and honest to each other. Your past is part of you. It's up to your partner if he/she will accept you of what or who you are. When we were just new in our relationship, I already confessed to my partner everything in my past. And when I say EVERYTHING, it includes my V-pass. We also agreed that we have to be open-minded for we were not young anymore. I'm just very lucky that he accepted me for who I am. And I'm very grateful for that. **WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST FEARS ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS?** My biggest fear when it comes to relationship is of course CHEATING. I was cheated by my long-time ex-boyfriend before. I know what it feels like to be cheated by someone you loved. I don't want to experience again the trauma that I had when my ex-boyfriend cheated on me. I almost lost track my life before because of that traumatic experience. And my partner knew about it. I made it clear to him that if he will cheat, he can no longer see me and her daughter. **WHAT LESSONS HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM PAST RELATIONSHIPS?** I learned plenty. I learned that in a relationship being honest to each other is very important. I also learned that I should also consider the feelings of my partner. In my past relationship, I was very stubborn and egocentric. What I want should always be followed. But now, I changed. I learned to listen to my partner's opinion and try to understand it. I also learned how to lower my pride. I also learned not to show much affection to my partner. I don't want to give him so much confidence and idea that I can't live without him. **WHAT WOULD YOU DEFINE AS CHEATING?** What would I define as cheating? Of course, when he starts to hide things from me. When he have deleted conversations in his messenger. That would be a red flag for me. But thanks God my partner is not like that. Maybe it's a good thing also that he experienced that by his ex-girlfriend before. **WOULD YOU RATHER STAY IN OR GO OUT FOR A DATE?** I would preferably choose the latter. My partner knows that I love traveling. Before our daughter came to our lives, we liked to visit different places. Every time we celebrate our monthsary, we always being in an outdoor. Even before when I was pregnant, we still used to travel even my tummy was already big. **ARE YOU FRIENDS WITH ANY OF YOUR EXES?** Maybe yes, maybe no. It depends on how we understand the word FRIENDS here. If we means Friends as being civil to each other, my answer is yes. I am civil to all my exes ( *exes talaga* ) . But not to the extent that we can have long conversation. My partner is a jealous type of person, so I should not give him reasons to be jealous. **DO YOU THINK CELEBRATING VALENTINE’S DAY IS CORNY?** No. I find it very romantic. I still remember our first Valentine's with my partner. Based on what he shared to me about his past relationship, I already knew that he was not fond of celebrating Valentine's day. So, I did not expect to receive something from him on that day. But I was very surprised when I saw a bouquet of flowers and chocolates in my bed. I can still feel the *kilig* everytime I remember that day.(◍•ᴗ•◍) **HOW WOULD YOU WANT TO SPEND A SPECIAL DAY WITH EACH OTHER?** I like to spend a special day with him by traveling. I love going places especially if it is nature-filled. My partner knows what I want. But now, that we already have a baby, spending special day with them is already enough for me. Seeing them both happy and smiling already filled my heart. _____________________________ CLOSING NOTE Every relationship is different. We have different ways in handling it. My relationship may not be perfect but we're both trying our best to stay stronger. Most especially that we have now our previous jewel, which is our daughter. We may have more struggles to come, but as long as we both hold our hands together, I know we can surpass it.
