Life hacks from Taylor Swift

Life hacks are clever tip or technique for accomplishing simple task.(definition from Google)

And for today, I just want to talk about this few tips which came from a successful singer/ song writer/producer, Ms. Taylor Swift. I just remember that her songs are one of my favorite when I was young, and we usually sing it with my friends before.

So, hearing some tips from here would be very nice since she is already had a great experience and did overcome a lot before she has gained her success globally. I am not really good in English but I will try to state this based of my understanding.

Based on what Taylor Swift said, she didn't have a formal college life because she was doing a home schooling, just like the students nowadays where everybody can met online during the lock down because of covid. She didn't give an advice of what to do, because she was confident that they already knew it. That's why she gave some life hacks.

1. Life can be heavy, especially when you carry all at once.

She's really right, life is totally burdened and gives us heaviness every now and then, that's why if we were trying to carry it all the way, we will end up in despair. What I understand about this is that, we don't need to carry those things which we don't deserved.

As for me, I can relate this with,"don't take every word of the people around you seriously." Why? Because sometimes people talk out of emotions an not from he heart , if we will take everything what people say about us, we may not get out of the house forever.Get what you can get, and reject what deserved to be reject like criticism.

1. You can't carry all things, decide what is yours to hold and let the rest go.

Maybe it's just related with the first point, which is all about carrying upon our shoulder heavy loads. Just like what happen to us recently, there is a family conflict that's happening because of the past election period. And as a family member, it's too heavy for me to carry because whatever I do, I can't solve it. I just let them talk and talk until they want to, but I will never make any moved out of my emotions because I know that they will not like it.

We should know our limitations and boundaries when it comes to receiving negative things. There is always negativity around us, there are some part that we need to face but there is also some aspects that we don't need to grasp it, but to let go.

3. Learn to live alongside a cringe, being cringe is unavoidable over a lifetime.

The word cringe, is hard to translate or understand for me, that's why I used to research about this word of what does it really means.

Cringe- is like bending head when there is something or someone that a person didn't like.

In tagalog it's equivalent to "sukot", pagpapakababa, pagpapahiya, or corny.

What moment of your life that seems your in a cringe? Is there something like outfit or attire that makes you feel embarrassed but there's nothing you can, because the show must go on?Or have you thrown a joke which the people don't like and they used to twist their head because they don't like it.

It is always given that there are people who don't like us or didn't want our presence, when we arrived, it seems that it was the very awkward moment. Hehe. I do have a lot of memories about this, but Taylor was right, we should learned to lived with cringe. We can't pleased anybody, for me I'm not a people pleaser because that's the hardest thing to do. If they won't accept or like me, I'll be the one to move away myself.

Yes, we are indeed the writers of our own life, day by day, every decisions and choices we made are the context of our story. We are the one's who has the responsibility on how did the story goes.

Though we are not perfect in our output but we shouldn't mind our faults, because we always have the right to edit it, so that it can be well presented.

Sometimes, we try to live perfectly, without mistake, but whatever we do, there's always a point in our life that we have fall back. It's an opportunity to rest and to refuel our strength and start the race again.

Sometimes the right thing to do, is to let go, the old thoughts, and embraced the new knowledge so that we will grow. Life is like an unending cycle, maybe one day, we will fade away but there is always a new breed of life to start over again, and our life might become a wonderful footprints along the way, that some people may follow. Just like Taylor Swift who used to lived her life publicly famous, but still she has a lot of struggle, and still human like us who can feel the same emotions.
