@Winona

I wanna write again. It's been a long time since I've been here. Hopefully, I get some inspiration.

@Winona

The Pending Loads of Unfinished Interest Yes, no poems for today, I just wanna write something about the spark of interest I had this past few months which I'm still trying to learn. Maybe, like a diary entry. I am a..let's say I have a weird hobby of hoarding art materials, yes, ranging from different types of papers, pencils, coloring materials and stationeries. Why? Dont ask me why (lol idk , is there an explanation to love? Haha) So here are some of the ventures Im tryna do this past few months: JOURNALING This quite matched my little addiction in collecting beads, washi tapes, and any cute scrapbook material, which if my mom would find out I be in lil trouble because of overspending (lol). Also, this is great for those who likes calligraphy and likes doing it. Well, as for me I have this liking for nicely written letters, neat in the eye and quite intricate. More on a minimalist side but with details observable. Err I had to buy brush pens, why? I am feeding my addiction, yes. But I really want to learn on how to use brush pens. It's quite difficult at first because I aint use to the runniness of the ink or the pigment but it sure creates a personality for calligraphy outputs. Totally cool. Uhhm, my journal book? Well, I chose a dotted one, I was surprised to find out that it has a pocket at the back cover, mainly for pens I think. Really cute. Did I started yet? Uhhm no. So far, not yet hahaha. Well, Im still learning some calligraphy techniques and how to add some electricity in my journal entry, tho I want it vintage type. I will be journaling soon amd will share my journal spread designs here. WATER COLOR PAINTING Yes, Ive been into this type of art since 2018 and still learning about it. There's more to just one technique and Im telling you wet anf wet technique has been very challenging to my patience. But art is art and hardwork is hardwork. I am not yet knowledgeable on types of brushes to use. But currently using a fine tip for lines and a broad tip (square). I recently overspent again for art materials. Yeah, it's a growing addiction. But Im tryna control myself ya know. But I need some new watercolor pigments, aight that'd be next. What? It's not bad to treat yourself a little, right? Hahahaha And hey, I just recently established my art style. Maybe I can do some portraits now;) Will be posting about it soon.

@Winona

The Things You Aren't You're keeping me awake But you aren't the coffee Perhaps the caffeine You're keeping me grounded But you aren't a reason to continue Just a weight to bear You're keeping awake But you aren't the noise in my head Just a vision of nothing but long dead You're keeping me warm But you aren't the fire in the furnace Just the hell I used to call solace You're keeping me sober But you aren't the drug and shots of pain reliever Just nothing but maybe the yesterday's hangover You are keeping me surrounded Not because you are around But beacuse I was lost until I was found You are keeping me awake But you aren't the ecstasy Perhaps the delusion and fallacy You are keeping me alive But you aren't the oxygen I breath Just the shock to revive my sudden death You aren't a reason to continue But I'd like to find out Whatelse is left of the heart I used to know.

@Winona

It's been a while. Twas a long break. I hope y'all doing well and earning well.

What's Today's Struggle? Running errands today Close the door Headed my way Oops! Hold the fruit loops! Where are my keys? In my pockets Butterfiles and bees! I forgot my mask! Had to go back Not a superhero To hide the identity But now, it's the worlds form of safety Dont be stubborn It might be air borne Spray some sanitizer Check your temperature Dissenfect thoroughly You don't want it in inside your lungs Careful outside In the surface they might reside Out in the public No longer prolific If everyone won't mind spacing At the grocery store Where did the toilet paper went? Few supplies then I have to pay rent All the frustrations Ain't caused by the traffic It's all brought by this pandemic In a small bottle, a vaccine to send Here's the price, how much do I spend? Do you have some money, if so, can I lend? One thing for sure, I want this pandemic to end.

To The Stars, No Way Back I woke up to the sound of my alarm, it's 5:00 in the morning. Today's the comemmoration of NASA's Humility I launch, the rocketship with over 200,000 passengers for a one way trip to Glecee-581D, a habitable planet millions of lightyears away from Earth. What a great leap for humanity. Terraforming other planets, creating human civilization farther than before. After I had my coffee, I headed to a flower shop, it's 5:30 am. I ordered some fresh bouquet of white rose and drived home to put them in your favorite vase and to write you a letter, like what you always loved. *To My Dearest Aurora,* *You are the best thing I ever had on Earth, and if not only because of this heart ailment diagnosed just a month before we finished our training for the space trip, I could have made it with you, so by the time we woke up in a different planet, I'll tell you that you're still the best thing I ever had in my lifetime.* *When you wake up from your deep hibernation, I hope you start falling inlove again. I want you to be happy. Sorry, I'm still single until now, I'm 63, guess it's so much hard to find someone like you here on Earth haha.* *I love you my dear, Happy 32nd Anniversary!* *Love,* *Alex* Message being delivered..... Message will be recieved in approximately: 1,582 Earth days from now...... ____________________________ Images used in this article are from google. I Saw that Part of You I saw that part of you The ones that's crumbling down The ones you cover up with excuses The ones that recieved a lot of refuses I saw that part of you The one that is afraid of oblivion That one that is frightened by the greater forces And the ones you conceal to hide away the bruises I saw that part of you The sharp edges of the grass' blade Delicate but unforgiving Abide to the wind Bare plain is nothing if it is skinned I saw that part of you The one's that is screaming But is afraid to speak You gave them the validation they seek It swiveled back as trauma looped in a streak I saw that part of you Dripping with the colors They're melting away You struggle to put them back in you By soaking in paints The hue that the world requires The shade that the eyes can't deny Go on You got an eye to satisfy. I saw that part of you That is not you at all That grin on that bare face The cheek filled with that synthetic blush That tint trying to add the synthetic mood The amplified shadows on the crease Darling, that lense is not for you to please I saw that part of you The misunderstood Trapped in the melodic havoc The delusional . I saw that part of you Chained in the dungeons of your predator A helpless prey An easy kill Escape Drink the pill. I saw that part of you In hazy imagery of an entity Able to touch But isn't grounded to stay You are the fog Mistaken as a mist Familiar face Beneath is a slumbering beast A murderer Whose kill is isn't her's I saw that part of you The one that has faltered In the flight to heaven Stuck in Earth to find every feather So when it is time to go home The lift is not a weight in the shoulder I saw that part of you Both lost and found Lost in the abyss Slumbering in a chrysalis I saw that part of you The vulnerable and lethal You hid your poison in the petals You are a bloom Or the sudden death The spring But a sudden drought The sunny day But the sudden storm I saw that part of you Lying underneath the surface You are the troubled sea depths The unknown trenches That part of you That has died. I saw that part .

I Could Use Some Lies Today Tell me My fake smile is sweet Bright eyes With blinding iridescence Tell me This voice is a sound of solace Hits the right note A lullaby to the ears A melody to ease your fears Tell me I am the sunshine Both warm and scorching Bright but blinding Tell me I am the thunder Trapped in a bottle Contained but subtle Tell me I am the sea Apart from treacherous Both powerful and deep I am the roar Of the screams uncalled for Tell me I am the sunset you admire Just the scarlet hue In a second or two Tell me My touch is delicate The meadow in the brushing of thistles The Alp's early whistle Tell me the lies I want to hear Tell me the words I want to hear Both the vague and the clear I want the comforting lies Until I fall asleep. And tomorrow morning I'll face it all again.

Reality Sucks Admit it You never felt like this before Distant, crying in close doors Admit it You never really liked the the rain Until you realized what the sky really has -just a way to express the pain You never really liked the gloomy weather But it's a get away excuse why wear that sweater Admit it You never really liked the beat It's the lyrics that got you hooked You played that song on replay It's the plot twist of that book Admit it You never really like the city lights at night It's the contrast Dark. Bright light. The dusts has settled. Time to go home. Go home. Admit it You tried but you're tired Meeting people, sea of strangers Flash of hope, drop of kindness You're here But you're hoping you're not You are awake Bu you hope to be in deep sleep Forget about them all Too much secrets to keep Admit it You hate everyone Everything. Because they just dont understand Admit it It's quite suffocating No strung if words can explain What's known is that You can't breathe freely Admit it You're rhymes are wearing off They start to rust Soon that poet will start to rot Admit it It's just too heavy sometimes You lost the perspective Chase it The more it runs away Wait for it Get stuck in uncertainty Admit it You like to sleep Because reality sucks. Admit it.

Poem Wallpaper 1 I've been into art stuffs lately, drawing, painting and sometimes photo editing. I always try something new to add to my poems or basically just to add a personality to my art. Sometimes I use my drawings or watercolor paintings as a prompt in writing a poem. And today, I thought of why not try something new. I do customize my phone, specially wallpapers, there's literally a wallpaper for every mood. But I haven't tried making my own wallpaper so I thought of making one today than settling in already existing wallpaper in apps or images I can download on google. I used some of the lines in my poem https://read.cash/@Winona/aloof-hearts-are-left-unscathed-4c567ce8 I am currently using this image as my lockscreen wallpaper The image contains the title of the poem, so my home wallpaper contains some lines of that poem. I used a few lines of the poem. In terms, of the design, I more into minimalistic kind of art that's why it has vast spaces unoccupied and I tend to use a light color for the background and the other elements, which definitely reflects my mood this days. What can you say about this wallpapers that I made? Do you have any suggestion? Let me know in the comment sec:)

Giveaway for Science Enthusiasts I've been not active here at RC for more than a week. Mainly because of connection problems, been busy for several days and felt not writing anything at all. Sponsorship for Photographers Yes, you've read it right. I'm giving sponsorship for photographers here at read.cash. This initiative is the extension of the sponsorship for poets under the Live Poet Society. I am one month old in the platform and I've came across a community exclusive for photography and I saw a lot of writers here who share that hobby. I am not much of a photographer, I doubt my talent in that but I would like to show how I admire the art of photography by this simple sponsorship. Here's a list of things to follow so that I can sponsor you. Subscribe to me Join the communities Live Poet Society and Poems and Flash Fiction (for future activities 😉) Must have at least a minimum of 3 published articles containing pictures intended for the value of photography Comment the link of one of your publishes under the category of photography. It must be your original photo. Logo: Note that I am only capable of sponsoring some. I won't be able to sponsor a lot of writers. But I will be opening a slot for 10 rc photographers who would like to get sponsored by me. I hope to encourage such talent here, photography can give a publish an extra personality and that's why I am doing this. It is important we recognize that talent so that we motivate others to keep doing great in things they enjoy and then share it.

Why Can't We Explain That We're Lost This is a "found poetry" out of an existing publish by @vanya_29 entitled "Lost" . Before reading the content below it will be better if you visit first the original piece here https://read.cash/@vanya_29/lost-9f6fcd7d To know more about found poetry check this article: https://read.cash/@Winona/types-of-poems-to-try-1-0246173c __________________________ **Why Can't We Explain Why We're Lost** ___________________________ Sometimes, we know that we feel lost but we are not certain as to why we feel that way but perhaps we're just tearing inside, we're just broken inside. Thank you @vanya_29 for the beautiful piece. If you would like me to create a found poem from any of your work, may it be an article or poem just let me know in the comment section. I'll try my best to come up with a piece. ____________________________ Have you ever felt lost? Perhaps we can talk a little in the comment sec.

Returning to the Classic **Golden Hour** Warm, to thaw the ice So bright, piercing your brown eyes Screaming unheard cries. **My Bright Sunny Day** Fill me with sunrays Glistening in the calm bay Do hold my hand- stay. ____________________________ Haikus for today. Thanks to @CrazyInsane for the Haiku writing challenge. Brings back some high school poem writing memories. The classic 5-7-5 is a great mind exercise.👍 What can you say about the Haikus above? Let me know in the comment sec.

@Winona

Why We're Labelled as Misfits (Found Poetry) Before proceeding the on content of this article please read first the ORIGINAL piece written by @Iremori entitled "Misfits" here is the link and I hope you subscribe to him too. https://read.cash/@Iremori/misfits-32878eb4 ____________________________ **Why We're Labelled as Misfits** ____________________________ So, as you can see I painted the words that I deleted with white color but I did not change the line sequence. The remaining words are set to weave a new concept, explaining why the persona in the poem became a misfit and it wasn't his fault, it is the society that shapes us for their own standards. What can you say about this type of poetry? Hey, if you would like me to create a found poetry out of your works may it be a poem or an article, drop the link at the comment section. I'll try my best to weave a concept from that, if you would like me to. I'd be delighted;) P.S. I did ask permission to @Iremori to do this. If you would like to make a found poetry out other's work I suggest you ask permission to them too. And I hope I didn't ruin your original piece tho @Iremori . This is all I could come up with😅. I'll do better next time.

Types of Poems to Try 1 I spent the past few days studying several types of poems that I can introduce in the platform. My mind always craves for the unconventional. Something that can twist the mind. So, I thought to myself, how can I possibly share it here and get other poem writer's interest (I hope so tho). So every week, I'll be introducing a specific type of poem and will spent several days to publish works under that type. I will also put up a fun challenge for my fellow poets here at RC. Anyone interested can also participate. I'll be happy to impart some of my knowledge to all of you ( at least the ones I know that can be useful haha ). First type for this week is Found Poetry Found poetry is one of the new types of poems being written. It's not totally written but instead derived from the words of an already existing piece but not plagiarizing it. How so? Found poetry is taking words or phrases and sometimes a whole passage from a text, more like creating a collage of words. It also includes deleting texts and changing the spaces and order and sometimes the lines to come up of a new concept than that of the original, not plagiarizing it at all. Okay, so that's a little confusing explanation, eh? I'll be publishing an example. If you haven't subscribe yet, hit the subscribe button and get notified for my sample. Catch ya at the comment section;)

Random Question #6: What if the only tree left on Earth was cut down to be made into papers and you're given some of the freshly made papers. What would you write on it to show how much you value the last tree on Earth? (No safe answers, I'll upvote be upvoting some great answers)

Small World, Big Leap Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a small butterfly and the rest of the world is just too big? With a life span of not more than two weeks, a maximum of just two weeks, what life could possibly have for you in two weeks? More nectars? The mating season? Fluttering in the meadows? Or are we just looking at the butterfly at a big perspective? Have you ever tried putting yourself in the view of an ant? How size could possibly be intimidating but bread crumbs are totally great finds. Perhaps, being a small fly, getting yourself swatted by people because you’re gross? Just imagine that you’re a small creature and the world seems to be a big giant landscape, are you imagining the hurdles now? We all know we’re just a speck in the universe. Looking at a much bigger perspective, Earth is just a tiny dot in the milky way galaxy, how about us living in it? We’re just a part of a much bigger group, with much bigger challenges to face. Will it be right to think that you can’t change the whole world, you’re just a tiny speck of dust in the planet? Well, even prominent people, who were viewed to change humanity may not be familiar to some people until now. Fame fades but name doesn’t. Is it an ambitious dream to try changing the world? I think you’ll get tired trying. You see, somehow what you can do right now is not tremendous enough to shake the perspective of others. It might not be enough to convince the government and it is not enough to stop the injustices going around, but I guess it’s about the courage of really doing it. Getting your voice heard, showing the world your ability, offering a window seat to a stranger who seemed to be so burnout at work, offering a seat to the elderly, lending a pen to an examinee who forgotten his pen, picking up the trash that lazy people have left out in the park, not because you’re just too kind but you know it’s your Earth too. I think, sometimes it’s not about what might get you tired of trying, it’s just about trying in your own little way. So yes, changing the world is an ambitious dream but nobody said it’s a hundred percent impossible. Reducing your plastic usage could save a life of a sea turtle, you might not be really able to do the actual stuff of rescuing stranded sea turtles but you can prevent a piece of plastic to enter the ocean, If I were a sea turtle, I might not understand but you’ll make the sea a little more breathable for me. I may have given you vague examples, as life is still vague for me too. But everyday heroes exist, without us knowing their name. The simple act of kindness is always a drop of hope in humanity. Have you ever thanked that person who gave you a free ride? The vendor who gave you a 10% discount? The traffic enforcer who guides you with a smile? The service crew who gets you your extra request for a table napkin? Yes, you can’t change the world in an instant but you can change the world for others. A pat in the back will do, for a friend who seem so distant recently who’s maybe battling a mental problem. You can’t get your name published in the newspapers for that but someone’s gonna feel support and somehow support is what we all need. It is a small world for a butterfly but a big leap to fulfill his journey in adulthood. It’s a small world for us but it’s a big leap to become kinder everyday.

Dead Eyes Dead eyes. Dead eyes. Staring from afar. Tired eyes Dried tears For those stupid years Right glance Wrong hands Thats why our hearts never dance Dead eyes. Dead eyes. Colder than ice You had me stumbling Tossing and turning Drapes are on fire You're all behind the burning When our soul is convenient When efforts are apparent You stayed Then left. You're the one being inconsistent. Telling me ill Had to numb it all It's a hard-to-swallow pill Dead eyes. Dead eyes. Unresolved demise. You're a two-faced. Left me with paper-all blank space. You took what you needed Support and the calls you long to be heeded Afterwards, When you can stand on your own again You lift your feet Walked away. Dead eyes. Your dead eyes Are beautiful but without love Dead eyes Cold like dry ice Scorching with lies When our eyes meet again Although the hearts are all stained Tell me why I deserved such pain.
