One of my fave viand -- fried Tinapa (tagalog for smoked fish). This time it is made of Galunggong (mackerel scad). Galungong was considered a poor man's fish until its price goes up nowadays. Anyway, I still love this fish especially when it is cured by smoking. I paired it with chili and garlic-soaked vinegar as my dipping sauce.

-The Flowchart-
I went to the Provincial Assessor to acquire some important documents for my work. And while standing outside the office my eyes caught this huge framed work flowchart that was hung on the wall. I remembered during my post grad classes how we were taught and asked to make our own work flowchart to be utilized in our own working community.
In every system we need a process. And in every process we need a strategy sometimes by using a flowchart to visualize how things are done or be achieved in a simple step by step procedure.
We do that, too, in our basic daily living. But, perhaps we're just not conscious about it's technicality. It saves us from unnecessary blunders and confusion.
Anyway, I haven't got the documents at once because there's a process. I need to come back another week for the scheduled release date. Well, if there's a process, I choose to trust the process. That's all, no qualms.

But when things strike us rock bottom we come to recognize the need for someone who could lift us up from our desperation. We just can’t shrug our shoulders and cry “C’est la vie!” because we need a strong foothold to keep our balance in such time of crisis.
Hence, we are invited to hope, to entrust our cares to God. He alone in His wisdom can make the crooked lines straight. Only He can provide such unwaivering support to ensure our triumph against all odds. In response, we need to trust in His grace and mercy by enduring our troubles and holding on to prayer. ~𝓥.𝓡. Got some raw cassava and taro roots as gifts from friends. I decided to cook them our usual way, that is, with the everlasting coconut milk. Put some sugar and salt plus jackfruit extract. Then, stirred a cup of black coffee. Presto! ☕

Though this may sounds good, I am just as skeptical because our personal data would be compromised if a breach in the security system happens.

Photo editing is an art that I most enjoyed. It gives me the chance to see a certain photo at varying levels, long way different from what the naked eye could see using my imagination.
I gave these droplets on semi-withered Taro leaves a twilight effect using the #Snapseed. The last two pics were in the original state.

The sky is now getting darker. It was a good decision that I chose to cook this chicken soup for lunch. Now it is ready.
A noisemate asked me why there are string beans in my ingredients. Well, I prepare Tinolang Manok according to my fancy. I add into it whatever vegetables are available in my pantry (except maybe the bitter gourd, lol). I admit that carrots are lacking to counter the greens for I haven't found any.
Somehow, the taste is as good as the classic one. So, badya na kamo ta makakan! I said, attack! :-D

Quick meal for me means takeout food. I just bought this spicy Tinumok from a nearby store that caters home-cooked meals. Got a piece of ripe cardava banana, a cup of rice, and water to complete my lunch.
𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗸 is a mixture of finely chopped shrimp, young coconut meat, garlic, onions, ginger, lemon grass, chilis; coconut cream, fish sauce, salt, and seasoning. The paste is then wrapped in Taro leaves into a wallet-sized portions before cooking them in coconut milk.

-Of Twilight Clouds and Full Moon-
Got attracted with the orangey hue of the clouds at dusk so I rushed outside the balcony to take some snaps. When I looked at the right side the full moon started to rise. However, I didn't have the full view that I wanted so, still I was able to catch it amidst the silhouette of the foliage.

I prepared some hotdogs for breakfast. The way I cook them shows my peculiar side.
One of my little idiosyncracies comes from cooking hotdogs. I usually boil them first in water to get rid (or at least to lessen) of that bright colorings. Then I throw away the red colored water before I fry them with little oil so I can still obtain that particular tasty aroma of fried hotdogs.
I believe that excessive nitrite and food dyes can pose harm to our bodies.
Does anybody do that, too?

The day started with a lot of sunshine but now it becomes stormy. Weather be like.
Anyway, captured these critters early on. They puzzled me as to what they might be doing. Perhaps they understood a different kind of grind? Or it's just my dirty mind that is an issue? (Ang laki ng problema ko!) :D Yet it could be that, it is in the process of moulting. Case resolved.
My errands are postponed so I'll just continue with my home works while peeking here from time to time.

I was half awake when the rain poured at pre-dawn. So, just before breakfast I went outside clutching my mobile phone to check on the plants. I knew that they are more lovely to look at when wet. And I found these beauties (the rose, the crepe, and the hibiscus) still damp and yearning for the warm touch of the sunlight.

Holy cow!
I was a little disappointed and confused when I left a certain government office this morning. I think I need help from a legal counsel concerning real property issues. I was mulling over the idea when I heared a loud "Moo!" from one of the cows as I passed by the grassy field. Oh, this creature seemed to know what was going on in my mind. Silly! I thought. I paused for a while to observe them grazing in silence. Lucky beasts. I mused. They live a non-complicated existence. But who would like to become a cow? Of course, not me! Never! Do you? :-D
After awhile I noticed that the cows stopped from feeding and curiously stared back at me from afar. So, I hurriedly took a couple of snaps before I proceeded home.
Life kinda sucks sometimes. It's a natural human response to difficulties. However, this known lady writer encourages everyone when she states that, “To every problem, there is a most simple solution.” (Agatha Christie)

What's up, guys! 'twas a nice busy Tuesday. I went out of town to take care of some family property issues.
It's been ages that I haven't set foot in this sleepy little municipality where I spent my pre-school years. A wave of nostalgia swept over me like clouds that are painted in the blue sky as I tread along the streets and visited familiar places like the church and the residential lot where once our ancestral house was built. However, it is now an untended vacant lot.
I remember those days when I used to hang out with the parish priest in the rectory's garden. I used to help him in tending his plants especially in harvesting peanuts. Well, you know, our previous home was just located within the church vicinity.
Anyway, I was glad to see more good progress that are distinctly different from my past hometown.

We are encouraged then to strenghten our Faith. Enkindling that gift (Faith) into flame requires a constant “fanning” on our part. Where's the meat?
Lunch is ready. I cooked pork stew from the leftover meat yesterday. But the meat became invisible. It turned out like a vegetable stew practically because of the loads of veggies that I added to the soup (green papaya, cabbage, string beans, and taro corms). Lol.
More fiber, the better! That becomes my diet motto. :-)
