𝑹𝒆𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆, 𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒇𝒇𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓. ᴿᵒᵐᵃⁿˢ ¹²:¹² ᵁˢᶜᶜᴮ C'est la vie (That’s life) may be our non-committal remark that we could just utter when life’s unfavorable petty circumstances come our way. Yes, life is an ebb and flow of blessings and difficulties. And we try our best to deal with the latter through our own strength. But when things strike us rock bottom we come to recognize the need for someone who could lift us up from our desperation. We just can’t shrug our shoulders and cry “C’est la vie!” because we need a strong foothold to keep our balance in such time of crisis. Hence, we are invited to hope, to entrust our cares to God. He alone in His wisdom can make the crooked lines straight. Only He can provide such unwaivering support to ensure our triumph against all odds.
