Why you shouldn't be concerned much about the new 'Omicron' variant
In the year 2021, the Philippines had a beautiful Christmas because we believed that the government had already allowed children to walk outside. In summary, everyone is now having fun with their social lives.
Then, after the Department of Health certified that the newest strain, Omicron, is already in the country, the Covid worry began to resurface. There was a two-case local transmission in the Bicol region, according to the Department of Health, but it was labeled as recovered on December 17. Despite this, the government did not impose any restrictions or lockdowns.
Many people gathered outside before the New Year's festivities and headed to other parties. It's no surprise that the new Covid-19 outbreak is resurfacing. As you can see in the pictures below, the DOH only recorded new Covid cases on the 29th of December, but Covid-19 cases began to emerge in the following days. Covid-19 had infected over seventeen thousand persons as of January 6, 2022.

Anyway, I just want to show how many cases there are in our country right now. Omicron is presently spreading in this county, and local transmissions are currently being identified.
Will there be a New Season of Hard Lockdowns?
Because of the election campaign period, I believe the government will not exert any hard lockdowns in some locations. Of course, the next election is just around the corner, and candidates are eager to buy votes all throughout the country. If a hard lockdown is imposed, they will be unable to do so.
So how about the Omicron Virus? Why should I not be so worried?
According to recent research, the Omicron strain is less dangerous than the initial covid virus. Experts believe that the Delta virus is still the most contagious type at this time. According to some medical specialists, the Omicron form only causes milder symptoms such as common flu, cough, tiredness, and runny nose, and infected patients are less likely to seek medical attention.

So what am I going to do if I got infected by this strain?
Of course, just obey the rules set forth by the government and the Department of Health and Human Services. Isolate first if you have any symptoms, then undergo the antigen tests. If you know you've only been at home and haven't been to any large gatherings outside, you've most certainly caught the flu. As you may be aware, we are experiencing extremely cold weather that will stay through February, this flu season is unavoidable. Going back to the question, you must continue to isolate yourself and take medications, particularly water. You may get a lot of over-the-counter medicine from any drugstore and use it as first aid. However, if you feel strange and heavy, as if you can't breathe, you must seek medical attention at a hospital right once.
Anyways, that's for today's article about my thought about Omicron. I hope you guys still make your own research regarding Covid-19. And please, do not believe in the fake news you see on Facebook.

May mga gusto na wag muna ituloy ang eleksyon this year pero siempre di naman papayag yun mga atat na atat ng umupo kaya for sure matutuloy yan and that means walang hard lockdown sa eleksyon. And that is by May.
Pero I think need ngayon ang hard lockdown kahit ilang araw lang, kasi kahit na di naman masyado malala kapag tinamaan ka ng Omicron, mabilis kasi sya makahawa.
