Loving God Doesn't Require Religion

Ambitious humans invented many things, including religion.

We are proud of human inventions. Because we are humans, are other nonhuman animals also think alike? The answer is, "It could be a subject of deep research."

Humans invented many things. That is how we are now so confident to explore outer space. Humans regularly go on space missions. Humans visited the Moon. Unmanned space vehicles landed on other planets.

Ambitious humans felt to search for the super creator of the universe. They have already invented religion. They also evolved with another psychological instrument called politics. Religion and politics coexisted in human society for years.

Worshipping the almighty doesn't require religion.

I have experienced a place near our home in Kolkata a place where a large number of Chinese Indians live a life of overlapping Indian and Chinese cultures. They can speak Chinese, Bengali, Hindi, and English.

  • The place is called Tangra on the eastern side of the city of Kolkata. A large community of Chinese people has lived for many years, maybe since the early 1900s.

  • They are now Indian citizens. They have voting rights. Most of them were involved in creating leather footwear, i.e., shoes. Chinese-made shoes are respected for their quality and design.

  • They also are engaged in the restaurant business. One can get authentic Chinese food in Tangra, Kolkata. We ate dinner in those restaurants many a time.

There are many places of worshipping in Tangra, Kolkata. Most of these are Buddhist Temples. Among them, there is a temple named "Chinese Kali Mandir" or "Chinese Kali Temple."

  • The story says that a Chinese person got a dream from Goddess Kali. The person decided to build a Kali Temple. When he started to worship Goddess Kali in his home, many other local people joined hands. With other people's donations, they built a Kali Temple and named it "Chinese Kali Temple."

The specialty of the Chinese temple is that they offer Chinese foods such as noodles as the "Prasadam." The Goddess Kali is being worshipped in this Chinese temple for many years.

The "Chinese Kali Temple" is proof of how two communities, the Chinese and Bengali, can celebrate the culture of humanity by combining differences with respect and love.

We are human beings.

The "Chinese Kali Temple" of Tangra, Kolkata, India proves that humanity cannot be limited by the demarcation of languages, ethnicity, religion, and culture.

The people of the small Chinatown of Kolkata, India demonstrated the victory of humanity over differences. It is an example of how humans can live united.

  • The first and last truth is that we all are human beings.

  • We possess the qualities to live with love and compassion.

  • Worshipping the almighty is in our minds.

  • The almighty creator is also in our minds.

  • We can worship whoever we think is right.

If we can live with love and harmony, there is nothing better than that.

=> Living happily and harmoniously is more important than any other thing.

Postscript

  • Life is living and is real.

Religion is conceptual.

  • Humans arrived before all concepts came to human minds.

=> Just think about it.

Indeed, loving God does not require religion but I also think religion can affect how you believe Him like if is it really the true God you worshipped or just something made-up by the highest person in that sector based on their own principle and not on the real gospel?

Love is the highest form of connection to God and men. May we have it maturely and be and practice, may fall back but get back up again with it.

Religion can be defined as the way of following and worshipping God. We have different way to worship and belief to preach God but He is one.

Religion was the way to keep in power (some of them) and to be able to divide people again and always... I agree, we all can have our own spirituality. For example, I think Christianity is not the same as being Catholic, Protestant or Orthodox... Curiously, those who believed in Christ without further ado were described as heretics and burned. Those true proto-Christian groups disappeared. And the faith was divided into those new labels and groups that they created to divide and confront, for wars, money and power. It has always been like this in history. Now they have other "social" ideologies with which to continue dividing the population.

People put more emphasis on religion instead of spirituality. Religion should serve as a guide.
