Content Creation is a Small Business
Do you realize that freelancing as a content creator is a small business?
Whether you agree or not, your earning job as a freelance content creator is equivalent to running a small business on your own.
You are earning by putting your content creation skills under a paywall.
Even on a content publishing platform, such as ReadCash, Publish0x, and Odysee, your published content is your digital product.
The readers and viewers are your clients who consume your digital content.
When you create custom content as per the requirements of your clients, you run a full-fledged small business as a freelancer.
Freelance content creators must learn how to run a small business.
Freelancers must learn simple business processes they have to undertake in their day-to-day earning grindings.
You don't need to study an academic degree program in business administration.
You don't need to pay and study a short course on small business management.
Although, it would be beneficial if you (and I) take a short course from a reputed tutor in the subject. Academic and practical learning has no substitute.
I strongly recommend putting importance on the following if you are seriously interested to learn and grow your freelance content creation earning hustle.

Create a vibrant personal brand as a freelancing content creator.
I realized lately that our personal brand image plays a very important role in spreading the real persona across social and professional channels over cyberspace.
You must put a serious effort into building a vibrant personal brand image.
Whether you are a part-time content creator mom or a full-time employee of a reputed content publishing company, you must create an assertive and professional personal brand image.
Your online personal brand image must speak clearly about your knowledge, skills, past experience, and current projects in hand.
The more clarity you can have in your personal branding, the more specific leads you may get from prospective clients.

Can you put some time and effort into learning the basics of running a freelancing small business on your own?
You need to read professional blogs and watch informational free video courses on how to run a small business from your home.
That doesn't mean that you should not go for a paid course on small business management. If you can afford to study a short course under a reputed tutor, nothing better than this!
You may need to know many things about running a business, such as you should learn the difference between a purchase order and an invoice, etc. Often, your client may ask you to provide an invoice or a purchase order.

Try to be professional in your online content, blogs, and vlogs.
When clients look into your online profiles as content creators, they will search for your knowledge and skills in your published content.
Your casual "haha" "howdy" etc. may not appeal to a prospective client who look for professional knowledge and skills.
Your casual writings may be rewarded by the algorithmic supporter software of a platform, but a real-world client will look for quality content on specific topics.
Casual vocabulories are suited to your personal and private messages but not in your professional content.
Written content could always be in a language that has a professional flavor.
Once in a while, only in satirical essays and articles, writers may sometimes put off-the-track vocabulary. Bloggers must follow a rule of decency and dignity.
Try to avoid casual vocabulary in your online content as far as possible.
Many of you may not like it, but most clients consider it very seriously.

When you change your perspective, things change. You just make content and hit the publish button. But when you think of it as a business, you can see the reflection on your action. Your content is your product, you have customers or clients. You plan about how to grow your business. You will figure out the specific area where you need to focus to take it to the next level.
