Comments Expose the Commenters

Comments are real gems on a blog.

Most bloggers will be interested in getting comments on their blogs. Who will disagree about the importance of commenting on blogs? Bloggers will be happy to get engagements on their content.

Blogs with high views and likes but a few or no comments look like decorated dolls who looks pretty but can't initiate engagement with the audience.

  • Blogs with moderate views and likes but a decent number of meaningful comments shine like a competent speaker who knows the subject matter well.

You might experience lectures by popular speakers that get huge applause but no questions from the audience. Blogs without comments are almost the same.

Comments are like precious stones, and each reflects different spectra of light.

Comments and replies to the comments are essential to complete the cycle of engagements. Sometimes, they are not connected well. Then, they reflect different ideas in diverse directions, similar to light dispersion through a prism in its constituent colors.

Your comments speak about your sincerity, authenticity, and depth of knowledge about the topic on which you write comments. If you comment without reading the entire blog, your comments will look like disjoint and meaningless phrases.

You can judge the engaging audience from the comments. I often get comments on my blogs that are disjoint to the topics of my content. Those comments act as pieces of evidence of unmindful readers/users. I also get brilliant pieces of comments and replies to the comments that enrich my depth of knowledge.

Your comments can expose your inner self.

Many bloggers write very well. But, they are not spirited comment writers. They are probably afraid or shy to share their thoughts. They always avoid writing comments on others' posts.

Comments can unfurl the inner thoughts of the commenters. Comments can expose the mind of the commenters. Comments can bring out the authentic state of the comment writers.

However, if the comment writers hide their passion and write unrealistic and synthetic comments, the commenters may succeed in creating an imaginary identity. It is not uncommon to lose credibility as a creator due to inauthentic engagement.

Closing thoughts

Comments have the traits to bring out the authentic thinking of the commenters.

  • Exposing your inner mind through comments is an excellent way to unfurl the true identity of your authentic self.

  • It is a good practice to exercise the freedom of reading and writing comments.

However, it is up to the comment writers' willingness if they would write comments or remain completely aloof about commenting on blogs.

Postscript

  • I don't hesitate to write comments on fellow bloggers' posts.

  • But, I always try to read the articles and then write a meaningful comment.

I try my best to avoid commenting on topics I don't understand.

  • Do you write comments on others' blogs?

  • What is your strategy for writing comments?

Comments

Totally agree! A comment, aside from it creates engagement between the blogger and the viewers, it would also serve as an inspiration for the bloggers to persevere. In addition, the bloggers can learn something from those comments—whether to improve, maintain and change something, such as the opinion and way or style of writing.

Yes, comments (and replies to comments) help the bloggers as well as the commenters.

The more comments that a blog post can receive, it means that it really gives impact to the readers. Me too, I accept that there are times that I don't read the article as a whole when I can't relate or understand the main thought of the topic, I just jumped into the last part.

It is true everybody may not read all articles they scan entirely. The incidental mental state also has a role to play. Then, writing short comments on the part of the article is also a contribution. It can help both the commenters as well as the authors.

Comment shows how keenly reader reads the blog and what he extract from it. Suitable, relevant and proper comments encourage the author but same time irrelevant comments hurt him. That is also true that comments shows the mindset, approach and cabability of the commentar.

Before I make a comment on any post I make sure I read the content and I understand what is all about. Also I only comment or read post that I find interesting or educative.

I don't just leave comments without reading one's article fully. It's better not to drop a comment if it's not related to the article. It's my way of respecting the writer's efforts also on writing that article and also a way of appreciation.

Comments are even good to the extent that, they can reveal what the writer intended to include in the article, which escaped the writer's mind while writing

Oh yes, the commenters may raise some important points that the authors might have missed.

This is beautiful and I love how you used your words to describe the beauty of commenting. It absolutely reveals the inner thoughts of the commenter and also give perspective to the author on how the message has been received and if it meets the intended purpose of the author.

Thanks for your time. It is a tough time for most global citizens to have a decent livelihood. I am also not an exception.

Absolutely pal, some reasonable comments at times makes the author of a particular blog face and realize another phase of life which he or she might never look forward to which in turn might be helpful to the author.

Powerful title with Excellent thoughts.

Comments are the real beauty of engaging ourselves in other posts. It tells about others thinking, experiences, and lessons about the topic.

Another thing I 100% agree with you is some people never read a complete write-up and end up commenting wrong on the topic. This is one of the biggest things I dislike.

Well, I love to read a complete article first and then try to comment on others' posts. On the other hand, some posts are litter complicated like crypto that I have zero knowledge about it so I try to just read for gaining some knowledge instead of just making spam and useless comments.

Greetings. In the end, Excellent write-up.🙌

A blog with good combination of words or vocabulary. Reading will always give us new way of writing too.

I want to laugh over some statements because it's true, sometimes out of personal lives or engagement, our reading is like a white blackboard, blank no depth but there are times like now @4am that we can focus and add some spice in the comment. Short or long I appreciate others engagement in my blogs.

I liked your frank comment. Circumstances can indeed influence the readers' minds, and their comments. I also enjoy getting off-the-track comments as those can "expose" the mental condition of the commenters. Sometimes, I try to help them by replying to their disjoint comments.

Yup, I usually write comments on such posts that deliver any msg or lessons. And the strategy of writing comments is that they motivate writers as I am motivated when someone comments on my post. That's my thinking heheh. Good Post!

Blogs motivate the readers, and the comments encourage the authors. Commenting and replying to the comments are two-way communication giving rise to cooperation between them.

First of all community engagement is essential for good interaction to the people. Yeah commentators are exposed by their comments. So we should be polite when we are playing word games in blogging site.
