Once you achieve the best from your thoughts, you will then realise what truly matters. Do not let anyone tell you that you cannot do something. Do it in your best interest. In one way or the other, you will surely get what you want. If you have a dream, have faith and work hard towards achieving it. Soon, the dream you envisioned will come true. Make your definitions alone and live up to your standards. You cannot please everyone at the same time. People can even find faults in god. How can you expect these people to like you entirely and wholeheartedly? In the pursuit of appeasing everyone in your surrounding, you will fail miserably. So focus on the things that please you rather than everyone. You're likewise responsibly significant to many people in your surrounding and also the reason for their smiles. When you think about quitting! Whenever you feel like quitting, stop and come to think of it why you started in the first place. By doing this, it would give you more reasons to keep moving forward. A mindset of quitting is the worst. Never stop when the task is incomplete. If the pace at which you are going is too high, decrease the speed. The decreased pace is far better than stopping. Always keep it in mind that the only path to success is to **keep moving forward** **Why do we quit?** There are numerous reasons why people quit nowadays mostly based on different circumstances or how life approached them. Below are some of the reasons; Less improvement on some tasks High expectations Numerous or excess tasks (overwork) Challenging and uninteresting tasks Absence of motivation from friends amd relatives Lack of support from friends or families (either financially or morally) You also need to understand that both work and fun are essential. You should try to spend more time on them both as the time spent enjoying them will also help the work you do. Working really hard for prolonged hours would decrease the overall quality of your work Suppose you are exercising after a lack of sleep. What do you think would happen? Do you think you would be better? The answer is "NO" But after taking proper rest, you would see that you would be able to perform better. Similar is the case with everything that you do. Set your targets according to your needs and capabilities and slowly raise the bar. By lifting the bar slowly, it will form long-lasting habits. When you are achieve something, it will boost your morale and you will be able to achieve even greater things. Someone who set a goal much higher than his capabilities would probably fail. While if the same person places the bar just above what he is capable of, he could be able to achieve it and improve simultaneously. **Benefits of not quitting** Better results in less efforts Better health More wealth and fame Better emotional intelligence And lastly, ultimate SUCCESS **How to stop yourself from quitting** The following tips might help. Set realistic goals Trust the process and make it more enjoyable Try and make things a little bit challenging Show appreciation to yourself without waiting for others' Be part of a community with a mindset of growth. **Conclusion;** Whenever you feel down or about to quit, try thinking about how far you have come from the initial point. You may not be at the destination yet, but when you see the progress that you have already made, it would motivate you. Everything is possible for a person who does not quit. Keep moving forward even when the pace is slow. *Slow and steady steps taking for a long time has the power to overcome mountains.* When a person keeps going, the rewards get summed up. Even when the speed becomes slower, the rewards are still bound to be enormous. °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° Trust we all learnt something new today. Anyways, thanks for taking your precious time to read this. I just hope it turns out helpful to us in one way or another. @Rasaq ❤❤❤

The power of being consistent *"Being persistent may lead you to the door, but consistency is the only key that unlocks it"_*__**Kenny Dasinger** What do we simply understand by the word consistent? Let's try and examine it in a different perspective. Imagine that you have a seedling growing in a pot full of soil. You then decide to water it everyday in little amount just to ensure it's rapid growth. Slowly, the leaves start germinating and getting bigger and bigger day by day. Or what if you in the other way round, you decide to keep it dry for a week and then pour an excess amount of water at the end of every week. What do you notice in both scenarios? You would notice the rate of growth in both scenarios would be different. Scenerio A is gonna yield more result than that of scenario B. Don't you think we always find ourselves in that particular scenario B all the time? We keep procrastinating until it gets close to the deadline, that we now then put all our efforts to complete that one task we could have done slowly before. It becomes tiring and yield no growth, which now does more harm than better to our life. The key player of that is our **laziness**, due to our endless procrastination of our tasks. How many times in a day do we say "**I will do this later**"? If we think about it very well, you will realise that this little phrase is the door to the pile of our tasks with deadlines. Laziness is nothing but our will to postpone our tasks. As we reach closer to the deadline, we will have no other option than to adjourn it further and eventually it starts affecting our life growth. How can we be more consistent? We should try and break down our complex tasks into smaller parts that we can complete easily without excess stress. For example, if we have to write an essay of 7 pages daily, we can try breaking it into a smaller amount by writing 1 page everyday consistently. We should finish the whole essay within a week. Istead of exhausting ourselves trying to finish the whole thing for hours, we can spend few minutes each day and develop progress in completing those tasks. It's time to put an end to procrastination. Whether it's completing our assignments, studying for our exams or finishing an undone project, we shouldn't always fail to be consistent in doing them. Instead of postponing our tasks, let's develop a consistent routine to complete our tasks effectively. It might seem a little bit hard at the start, but trust me, as we keep repeating it, consistently will find it's way into your life. It would help in boosting your growth and help execute your tasks effectively and efficiently. ***Consistency is the only key to growth.......*** ____________________________ Thanks for passing by to read this pals. I hope we find it helpful in one way or another. See you guys next time!!! All images on Unsplash.com

Why do people tend to forget your good deeds? Hey guys. It's been a while here. Don't mind me, I've really been busy with my studies all these while. So anytime I just barge in here to publish an article, just help me welcome it wholeheartedly. It hasn't been easy out there at college. To learn, study and comprehend those assessments given to us, it all takes time and knowledge. Yeah, back to my blog, "***why do people tend to*** ***forget your good deeds"?*** As for me, I can vividly say that it's embedded in some people to stay wicked all time. Despite the advices and morals given to some people, they still choose to stay wicked to others becoming non-chalant about their background, age or sex. It's really a bad attitude though. In some cases too, people decide to be wicked all because they find themselves in higher position or rank than others. They then decide to influence their power on others by inflicting them in one way or another. Let me take you guys through a little scenario or story I listened to yesterday night on one of my favourite radio channels: There once lived a great king of a particular land. . He once had ten wild dogs which he takes his precious time to breed and take care of them. His sole purpose of breeding those dogs was to make them torture and inflict injuries on any of his community member that go against his directives or opinions. He has been doing this for years. One fateful day, one of his loyal chiefs came to him just to advice him on the way he inflicts injuries on people, that it's getting beyond measures. He further advised him to please stay off this bad attitude. As a wicked king, what do you expect, out of rage and anger, he appreciated his chief's advice by ordering his servants to feed his chief to his wild dogs. The chief then said to the King that " I served you for good ten years and yet you do this to me, please kindly spare my life for just three days so I can have some time with your wild dogs. The king agreed to his plea and the chief left the palace in a bad grief. For those three days, the chief would spend most of his time feeding, bathing and providing all sorts of comforts for the dogs to the extent that the guards watching the dogs and the fellow members of the community became baffled the chief's late concern and care for the wild dogs. Days passed, and it's time for the chief to be fed to the dogs. The king ordered as he normally do, and the chief was thrown to the wild dogs. But to the King's and everyone else present at the scene surprise, it was found that that ravenous dogs were just kicking the chief's feet and playing with him. And the king rose out of anger again asked the chief what he has done to his wild dogs that made them play with him like they're his pets. And the chief humbly said to him that "I served your dogs for only three days and they didn't forget my service but, I served you for a whole ten years and you seem to forget all my services to you at my first mistake. Then hearing this, the king came to realisation of his mistake and ordered the chief to be set free. ****Summary****; This is a message to those who tend to forget all the good deeds someone has done to them as soon as the person make a single mistake towards them. Don't ruin your history filled with goodness just because of a mistake you don't cherish. Hope we've learnt something new today. Thanks guys for your time. See you guys later. @Rasaq 🤩🤩🤩

Depression kills. Stay off it. "*There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds*" _ **Laurel Hamilton.** This depression of a thing has widely become **so** rampant nowadays. I can vividly say it getting much day by day. According to research, depression affects 3.8% population of a particular state or country annually. Also, the approximated number of people undergoing depression in the world at large right now sum up to 280 million, whoa that's too large. We all need to learn to put a stop to it. It's really affecting us both mentally, physically and spiritually. Truth be told, people are going through a lot of struggles and obstacles just to meet up with life demands like food, clothing, shelter and good life in whole. Depression is mostly caused due to insufficiency of the above factors. ****Common physical symptoms and causes of depression**** It's often not limited to food, clothing or shelter alone, some other source of depression might be due to some of the following factors; Change in appetite Fatigue or loss of energy Difficulty in thinking or making decisions Excess sleeping Reduced interest or pleasure in some activities you've formerly engaged in. Restlessness or agitation Recurring thought of death or suicide attempt Genetic traits. ****Possible solutions to depression**** Absolutely, there seems to be no genuine cure for depression. The cure is embedded in you, meaning you just have to let go of what's happened and focus on your future. Focus, on what will benefit your life most, avoid staying alone, eat healthy and well balanced meals, warm up your body with regular exercises daily and lastly keep good company because you're what you become as a result of the company you keep. ****Summary**** Just as the topic implies, "Avoid depression ", we should always learn how to stay off depression as its repercussion always turn out worse day by day in the sense that people murder themselves nearly everyday by committing suicides, taking hard drugs like cocaine, marijuana etc.. just to reduce their pain and all sorts of bad effects caused by depression. Let me take a pause on this for now. I hope we leant something very tangible and important today. I also hope it's worth sharing too as it might be helpful to others. SAY NO TO DEPRESSION TODAY !!! Don't forget to like, comment and subscribe to my timeline. It's really nice been with you guys . See you all later. Bye for now!!!

Sunday service at church Let me start first by asking us this question, do you attend church today? As for me, the answer is YES. It really went nice today at church. We had series of programmes all to make it fun-filled and likewise spirit filled too. I and my parents worship at a church named Christ Apostolic Church, Church of Sustainance, Zonal Headquarters, Epe, Lagos State located a few miles from our residence. We've been attending the church for almost 8 years now and our enrollment and service with them has really been great.Though, we weren't that much in our church but trust me it always very lit and interesting. Back to today's service. The sermon topic w.as titled "**Things God expected of us"** **What are those things God expected of us?** ****Gratitude******:** Gratitude is the sense that showing a sign of appreciation to what God has done and will continue to do in our lives. Sometimes, things turn out to be bad for us, we were made to understand that we shouldn't relent in giving thanks to God, not only when things turn out nice to us. ****Fear of God****: A text in the Bible says " the fear of God is the begining of wisdom". In nything we are doing and anywhere we find ourselves, we should always have the fear of God in us. ****Faithfulness****: We should learn to remain faithful and truthful at all time. Nobody seems to be perfect though, but we shouldn't allow that phrase to overcome us. We should put an end to backbiting and other bad behaviours. ****Asking for God's directive****: Yeah, this is so important in our Christian life. We should learn to seek for God's direction in anything we want to lay out hands on because God knows best, he knows everything even before we ask him and he would always direct us to the right choices and never lead is astray. ****Thorough service and submission to God****: We were made to understand that God is a jealous God, he doesn't like a situation whereby his children (Christians) worship or bow down to another god. We should always be submissive too to his wills and terms. This happens to be the summary of today's sermon at church. **What happens when we possess these required attributes?** Putting all these powerful enchantments on and also putting them into action, the following tends to occur; They tend to draw our attention to God all time. He won't neglect us anytime we need him. Anything we request from him, he won't hesitate to give it to us at all time. In aspect of closed doors, God will always make sure he opens them for us under any circumstances. He will always make way for us even if people keep complaining there isn't a way out. All these will be ours if we put on those attributes above. **Summary** Let me put this to a stop gradually by asking us " **how often do we go to church or chapel".** We've been working throughout the week for six days, the last day which happens to be Sunday is meant for resting. Why can't we just dedicate this one day (Sunday) for God? Why can't we just go to chapel and show a sign of appreciation for what he's done for us? Why can't we keep this particular day holy? The answer lies in each and every one's heart. I know our conscience is judging us right now. Let's wake up from out slumber and make things right by taking the his important step of going to chapel always. That comes to the end of my blog for today. Seems we learnt something from here right? See you guys later and have a great day ahead.

How diligent are you? Mere taking a perfect look and comprehension at the word "diligence", what bell does it ring in your ear? What do you briefly understand by the word mentioned above? I think it's not just your first hearing about this word. Well, according to Oxford dictionary; "***Diligence simply implies that act of having or showing care and consistency in one's work or duties".*** In my own sense, diligence can also be described as the process of showing total commitment to one's obligations. It's not limited to one's duty only. You can also be diligent to other people's duty too. A diligent person will always be found hard-working and determined, he or she never feels to relent in his or her pursuit be it a good or bad one. Let me go into further explanation of diligence by sharing to you guys a little story my mother told me about; *There was a young man who happened to be an undergraduate, terribly in search of a job. When I mean job, he was in search of secured job that match would up to his certificate which might also earn him a stable source of income. He had consulted different companies he knew about around his residence and even beyond, but whenever he get there, he seemed to always hear a different story like;* "*Oh, you didn't come in time, we just gave someone the job few days ago"* *"Ugh, I'm sorry sir, you're not qualified for the job"* *"I'm really sorry sir, we are not in search of employees, we've been occupied already"* *And lot of more different stories.* *The young man almost gave up on searching for jobs. He then decided to take his last shot by visiting his friend staying nearby and asking him if he could be of help in acquiring a job. He did as he thought and visited his friend and poured out his mind to him about him looking for a job and his friend came to a suggestion about a company he had been hearing of for a very long time. He decided to lure in his job seeking friend about the company, the friend told him about the company and indeed he was very happy and looked forward to seek for a job there. He thanked his friend for helping him out and they both bade themselves goodbye.* *He visited the company as planned. He and all his fellow applicants in search of same job in the company were given a fixed day for their interview, and the young man came back home to prepare hard for the forthcoming interview likewise his fellow applicants too I think. Days passed and the day for interview finally came, as for the young man, he came as early as he could for the interview and dressed up corporately in his black suit, shoes and white shirt . As he stepped into the company ensuring he closed the gate behind him, he found some piece of dirt tattered and piled up in a sack not too far from the gate he passed through lying across the company's fence. Without hesitation, he decided to pack those dirt with his bare hands into a nearby big container meant for keeping dirt by workers in the company. Shortly after he did the picking, he made sure he washed his hands with soap thoroughly in a nearby tap, then headed his way into the interviewing room rushing. On getting there, the interview really took place as expected and they were all told to go back to their respective homes and wait for the company to call on whoever it has decided to choose.* *Two days after, this particular young man received a call from the company he visited lately stating that had been employed to work with them. What do you expect guys? Tears of joy started rolling out of his eyes, he was so delighted that he couldn't keep the joy only to himself, that he speedily rushed to his friend's place to share to him the good news and they both celebrated it.* *The day for resumption of work at the company came by, and this young man dressed up neatly and corporate. Getting there, he was directed to meet the manager of the company and he was congratulated by the manager for coming out I'm flying colors in the interview. With the joy still embedded in him, he was forced to ask the manager why he particularly was chosen for the job, and the manager laughed and referred him back to the day he came for the interview, that he was seen and caught on a CCTV camera performing some hygiene for the company which he wasn't ordered to do. He further told him that the little scene of that day personally and with the agreement of the company made him acquire the job and that he might be a good asset to the company. He ended by finally telling him not to relent in his diligence that he will always find it helpful most especially when it comes to a day like this.* **In summary;** What this little story of mine is trying to tell us is that we shouldn't relent on our diligence to a particular work. Just like I said earlier, being diligent doesn't mean staying committed to one's duties only, you can extend it to other people's too. They would appreciate it a lot just like the manager of the company did and trust me the reward always turn out huge. ******************************* Thanks for passing by to read. I hope it helped us in one way or the other. Bye for now guys. Take care of yourselves and stay safe. © @Rasaq

Welding practical at school today. August 11th, 2022. It's been a while I've been active on this awesome platform. Apparently, I've really missed you guys. I posted a short update on my timeline earlier stating that I've been less active all because I have to get some things done. Now, let me let the cat out of the basket; the sole reason for me not being active on this platform was that school activities haven't been friendly to me in the sense that I've always been busy with my academics you know, to attend lectures, comprehend what the lecturer is teaching and be able to read and solve assignments, it isn't an easy task to do, which on the other hand, I think it's very important to engage in them so I can achieve my desired goals. Earlier this week, I wrote about some practicals we did at school which entails visiting our mechanical workshop and identifying some important machines present there and their uses in performing some operations. Today also turned out to be a practical day too. We were taught some lessons on how to cut out metallic work piece materials e.g steel and also on how to join them together using some welding instruments which explains their term called **welding.** The first lesson we were taught on getting to the workshop stated that: "**SAFETY SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST PRIORITY**" which means we have to prevent anything hazardous to our health mostly on our skin, which can't be achieved unless we take to the following safety measures; *We should always endeavor to put on our safety wears which includes our well sown and covered laboratory coats, safety shoes, hand gloves, and safety goggles ( which must be so thick and dark just to avoid direct contact of the eyes to the molten substance present in the welded materials )* *We shouldn't engage in any form of horseplay in the workshop* *And the last safety measure states that we should always ensure to read and follow instructions guiding a particular material or instrument before laying hand on them for operation.* Also, we were taught how to identify some measuring, cutting and welding tools present in the workshop, which some of them includes; ****Measuring and Cutting tools**** Hack saw Steel rule Chalk ( necessary for marking out readings ) Measuring tape Tri-square Plier Chisel Hammer Centre punch Rubber mallet Snip etc... While, ****Welding tools includes;**** Tongs Electrodes Also hammer ( for tapping out carbons on the welded materials ) Earthing materials ( which entails it's machines cables and rods commonly used for welding ) We really had a blissful moment in the workshop today as various lessons were learnt from the practical, we also now seem to have some idea about things we've been ignorant of. I think those absent today at the workshop seems to have missed something very crucial. Oh, I forgot to speak about the other aspect of the practical. As blissful and enjoyable today's practical was, guess what guys? It was so hectic and stressful. We stood for hours and most of us kept ranting about being tired and hungry but the joy of the sparkling light from the welded materials often cheer us up thereby making us to forget our body aches. Here comes the final product below. ***A STOOL.*** Like I always do, I took some pictures of the workshop and its entities as it might help me to comprehend better when it get to studying them. ******************************* Trust we all had a great day just like mine? Thanks for reading and I would love to hear out comments below here👇 Also do ensure to like and subscribe to my timeline if found helpful. Bye for now and don't forget to take good care of yourselves.

The relevance of technology in machines. August 8, 2022. As we all know technology has succumbed everywhere and everything nearly throughout the universe. *****Technology;***** What do we really understand by the word technology itself? In my own view, technology can simply be defined as the process of organizing facts and knowledge for practical purposes and human being efficient use. According to studies, technology has been in existence for ages and they all seem to have been quite helpful to man ever since. While on the other hand, *****Machines;***** Machines are devices that controls and manipulate energy mostly in form of movement, in order to produce a desired result. Machines can either be powered manually (use of hands) or it can be powered electrically (use of electricity) depending on the operation it's performing. And besides, machines are not only limited to our generators, car engines etc. machines can also be in the form of things we make use of daily such as our wrist watches and wall clock, tables, spoons, chairs, radios, televisions, chargers, mobile devices etc because they all seems to help in one way or another to obtain our desired result when used or applied. The aspect of machines I would like to deliberate more on is the mechanical machines i.e machines that are made use in an advanced mechanical workshop. There are numerous of them but below are some of them I could find in our college mechanical workshop. **Drilling machines** **Milling machines** **Lathe machines** **Knob making machines etc....** Each of all the above listed machines serve an important purpose in the mechanical workshop. ****Importance of machines in our daily life;**** We all know machines are of great importance to us in our daily life activities. Some of those importance are; They are fast and accurate. They reduce the efforts of human. They save time and energy etc.... Today being Monday at college, we were taken to the mechanical workshop and we were taught some lessons on machines and it's relevance to technology just like I've made it up to be an article. We took a tour around the different mechanical machines planted in the workshop, we are taught their uses and operations. There I took a shot of some machines with my mobile device for further comprehension. Machines have been very helpful to humanity and will continue to be forever as long as technology cease not to stop by increasing day by day. It's the to wrap it up pals. What a stressful weekend!!! Weekends as we all know is mostly meant for having some rest from works and activities we've engaged ourselves in during the week. It's also meant for saving and storage of our energies ahead a new week's activity. People tend to spend their weekends in different ways and locations based on their choices. Some might decide to spend it at beaches, restaurants, game stations and other fun catching centres. But most people do spend their weekends at homes which seems to be the best choice for me and likewise others too. Sadly, my weekend today turned out different. Late last night, one of our lecturers at college sent a direct message to our department's group chat via WhatsApp stating that we have an impromptu class early next morning which happened to be today and it was stated to hold 7:00am- 10:00am, OMG that would be for good three (3) hours. My colleagues and I kept ranting on WhatsApp all because lectures are not scheduled on our timetable to hold on weekends but we can't say it to our lecturer's face lol 😂. The subject of our rant was that we would be deprived to enjoy our sleep as most of us do wake up late on weekends morning and so do everyone else beyond college I think. The funniest aspect was that the same set of people ranting yesterday night happened to be set of people that arrived early for the class and later people came to join them. To avoid lateness and being marked being absent from the attendance sheet, we all came early for the class. Guess what guys, we waited and stood for over an hour just before our lecturer came by and then i decided to check the time, it's was 8:15 am. Everyone seemed to be tired of the class even before it was started. On his arrival, we all moved in and received the lecture though most of us concentrated less just because it occured on a weekend. Then, we did some classwork, marked the attendance sheet, moved out of the lecture room and bade ourselves goodbye. That impromptu class we had today really made my weekend kinda stressful all because I had plans already which part of them was to hang out with my friends and play football and also other plans too which I can't start mentioning. None of those little plans of mine happened to come to fulfilment because by the time I got home, I was very tired. I had no option than to take my lunch and get to bed. After all, I still enjoyed part of my weekend even though it's not enough. So now, let me stop here by asking y'all, how did you spend your weekend today???

Welcoming myself to read.cash blog academy. What's up fellow read.cash buddies? Trust we are all doing fine. This present time has to be my first enrollment and blog on this great platform. It's really nice to be part of this blog team. A friend of mine @Kvngzz which happened to be an existing user on this platform too referred me to this awesome site, let me rather say he introduced me to read.cash because he tried to refer me here but it wasn't successful in the sense that the link he copied and sent to me was mistakenly edited by him before sending it to me. But that doesn't prevent me from creating this account as he had explained to me how great and helpful this platform has been to him, though he seems not very active since some while back. Since my creation of this account, that was yesterday, I made sure I read through and comprehend the terms and conditions of this platform. There seems to be a lot of them though, maintaining them is not that easy but I will try all my possible best to fulfill them all. I've also met lots of friends on this platform too, they all seem to be very friendly and interactive. Yeah, I love it that way when people don't neglect each other, most especially me being a **newbie** here, I wasn't treated like a newcomer rather they helped show me some successive paths on this platform which I'm really grateful for. My stay on this platform ever since I joined yesterday has been so interesting personally to me not because I met new friends, reading and meditating on other people's article has been so helpful to me in the sense that it helps broaden my knowledge on some valuable things I didn't have an idea about. Things like new cultures and traditions, techniques and technologies, nature and it's environs etc. Sincerely, they all have been making my day and helped me in one way or another. I hope gradually I will get to be familiar with this great platform and it's operations because there is a saying which states that " **Rome was not built in a day**". It's just a matter of time and with the moral support of my beautiful colleagues here before I get used to the platform. Finally, I'm using this medium to thank myself for being part of the platform, and also for being relentless on my academic excellence and success in life. Once again, it's good to be part of the read.cash blog academy. It's really nice meeting you all. Thanks to y'all for the love and support ever since. You're all loved ❤️
