It's only a matter of time

It been more than 2 days since I last published an article, it is painful to miss a day without interacting or publishing on this platform. Sometimes in life you get your hands full.

________________________

As a kid I once wished for a bicycle, I daydreamt about owning one and riding it just like some other kids in the neighbourhood. But Guess what?

I never got the chance to own one.

Oops I guess you were expecting a different answer right? Not that my parents do not have the financial power to purchase one for me. I guess they never thought it necessary.

Then I realized that not all our wishes will come to past

Smartphone fever

When I was in high school, I was intrigued by smartphones and I wished to own one just like some of my mates did. Back then smartphones were very expensive but despite all my yearning, it was until I got to college before I became an owner of a smart phone.

The day I got my first smartphone I was as ecstatic as Neil Armstrong when he stepped on the moon surface.

Then at that moment; I realized that everything in life is just a matter of time.

Days rolled into months, and months into years. I began to become weary of the slow speed and low capacity of my phone. Comparing my phone to that of some of my colleagues was like comparing an ant to a rat.

Despite my yearning and grumbling for a better device, it took months before my wish materialize.

An opening for me to purchase a new phone happened thanks to a bursary I received, coupled with a gift from a relative and my little earnings from noise cash back then. I was able to purchase a new device.

No shortcut in life

Before you get bored by my stories, I want you to know that;

"Life is simple, but in its simplicity lies complexity. The only way to solve this complexity is by living simply"

~Tomi-Ajax

(Don't mind my quotes, lol)

Life isn't a fairytale, where all wishes get fulfilled. But by learning the act and virtue of patience we can accomplish a lot.

Whenever you wish for something always remember that; "God's time is the Best".

Sometimes we wish for a good thing but it doesn't happen, and it might be as result of not being the perfect time for it to happen.

That's why you need to stay calm don't rush, because there isn't any shortcut in life and it's unpredictable.

When people seek shortcut to success they dip their hands into shit. Some people are not patient and when they hanker for something they do something legally or morally wrong. Like stealing, lying, defrauding and even take extreme actions like harming or killing someone.

Karma isn't dead

Many people are of the school of thought that karma is dead. But I strongly disagree. Karma isn't dead, but it most times happen in secret, for everyone would reap what they sow.

Therefore we should do good all the time, and in our capacities and according to our capabilities.

We shouldn't do good because we want good things to happen to us only, but we should always do good because it is the right thing to do.

In conclusion

Always remember to knock on every door of opportunity, learn to accept rejections, try to improve on yourself in every good way and virtues, believe in yourself and the right opportunities will come at their right time.

Always strive to do good, learn how to apologize whenever you do wrong, also learn how to forgive. All this are important for you to live a peaceful life.

Remember the golden rule; "Do to others what you want them to do to you".

Tomi-Ajax you reminded me of an incident from my childhood days. It's about me and my immediate elder brother. We grew together, played together, and even shared the same friends in our childhood days. There was a kind of Dirt Bike 🚴 we longed for. We also disturbed our Dad about it. After all the disturbance, the nagging, he promised to two fit us. We were so happy and promised to do all the good things whenever our dream was fulfilled. One evening as our Dad was returning from. Work, he came along with one of his friends. We rushed to welcome them, our Dad was so happy. Our Dad went to his room, to change his clothes and go out with his friend. Our Dads friend started chatting with my brother who has gone to give him water to drink. Then my brother started telling him about our Dad's promise to buy us Dirt Bikes. And that was the time our Dad returned from his room. His friend started discouraging him. He said all sorts of things to discourage my Dad. He said the roads are not safe, and that the Bikes will distract us from our studies. Unfortunately, that was why we never got that Dirt Bike. That man left us with a very bad memory of him. Whenever we talk about him, we always remember him as the man that prevented our Dad from buying Dirt Bike for us. Hehe 🤣.

There are a few of these kinds of incidences that my brother and I can't seem to forget. Another one we still remember is about one of our uncles. You know how powerful some uncles can be (in Africa). When we were kids, our Mum will always serve us food in two separate plates. So each person eats his own food, at the time he likes. Sometimes we even decide to eat half of the food and keep the rest for another time just for fun. One day, this our powerful uncle visited and when it was time for launch, two plates were served for my brother and me. This our uncle started ranting, he questioned our Mum seriously, he telling her that, these boys are brothers, they must eat together. He sighted all sorts of examples for her. Since that day, we have always been eating together till we left home. We didn't like it then, but we became used to it, that even in burden school we eat on the same plate up till our adulthood. Whenever we talk about this our uncle, we always remember that incident. 🤣🤣😂

Yes bro! We must not rush too much, we might not have it now, but surely we will have it soon if we aren't lazy. We need to be patient, because in this life, there is time for everything.

I also believe karma isn't dead, it's just that the people might not be reaping what they sow the way we thought they should.

Exactly, the way karma is, isn't what most people think karma is all about.

So sad to hear about your past stories. Actually about the bi-cycle thing my grandpa also did not wanted me to ride one in fear of accident but at last gave me one. If I talk about the smartphone it was good time when you got because we know what amount time we lost for a phone. By the way life will give you the things when you really need, not a second before!

Wow, that's a brilliant quote from you Tomi. There isn't any need hiding, lol. I had the same experiences as you, in my case, it was kind of complicated from Wristwatches to Android phones and all, I just look back at those times and be like wow. Indeed it's only a matter of time in life. Am inclined to this.
