My Daughter's First Birthday

Last Wednesday, January 5, 2022, was the first birthday of my firstborn baby. She just turned one. We, as her first-time parents were very much happy and grateful for the simple celebration we prepared for her and also for the whole year, after all, we had encountered. Life is still beautiful to live about.

Before the typhoon hit our place, we had a lot of things to do for her birthday to make it a memorable one. My husband and I plan to have a beach birthday party since we have a beach resort in our barangay and to accommodate the visitors with a wide and open area. Bad sad to say, we didn't make it happen because the resort vanished. All the cottages were eaten by the big waves during the typhoon Odette. The resort was turned out like a zombie place. Lots of garbages are everywhere. We were very sad upon visiting the resort after the typhoon. So, we had no choice but to change the plan. We decided instead to just hold the party in our house even our house is still recovering from the damages caused by the typhoon.

When the day has come, we had just a simple birthday celebration. We just a simple food served at the table even though we don't have roasted pig as the main dish because of the crisis we faced today. I know that for most visitors the roasted pig was one of their favorite. Lol. But it doesn't change the happiness we had on that day. What matters most was that my daughter was on her happiest day and I saw in her smiles that she enjoyed it together with her supportive cousins. I just felt the love on that day especially when my daughter received many gifts. She also received a cash gift with a total of 2,500 Php. I just THANK GOD for the unexpected presents. 🙏

The celebration ended successfully and smoothly. Our both family sides were enormously happy and satisfied with our preparations, especially the food. All were full. All were smiling. My husband and I were highly favored and greatly blessed with what had happened on that day like having good weather even if we experienced bad weather the week before that day. Also, the water supply in our barangay was back to normal again one day before it all happened. See? God is good.

I was like beyond blessed. I am so much thankful to God for granting my prayer to give us what we want and desire. And it all happened - the good weather and the water supply. Such a joyous day in our life as first-time parents. Our happiness cant be paid for by money. Our thankfulness can't be measured. Everything we had prepared was lifted upon to God with a thankful heart. Also, for the finances, I was amazed at what God has done. We didn't expect that the financial blessings arrived before that day. We were surprised by God's provision. We can merely say that God is making a way for all the impossible things to possible ones. God is good all the time.🙏😇
