They Said Being a Teacher is just "Easy"
I don't know who come up with this conclusion. They tend to underestimate the people who are in the field of Education because it's just an easy course to pass while the field of medicine and engineering are the hardest. Does it really matter what kind of profession you took? All of them are difficult and not easy in their own way. Being a teacher doesn't mean you're just a teacher. You are also a parent to your students inside the class. You are the role model that will teach them the proper right conduct. You are the listener who will listen to each problems they have from their households. You are the friend who will motivate them to study hard. You are everything when you are a teacher. So saying that "being a teacher is just easy" is also like saying walking on top of the water is easy because you will never know the real struggles a teachers can experience in their daily lives. Being a teacher also means you are a patient kind of person. You have to learn not to hurt the student no matter how bad the actions he/she has done. You also have to be the most understanding person at all times because not all of your students can go along with your class, so it's not good to expect that all of them will behave and participate in the same way.
There are people who took the field of Education because they find it easy to pass but at the end of the day, they will have regrets because entering this field is not just about teaching whatsoever they want to teach, you also have to show a civic unity and cooperation towards your fellow teachers and to the whole community. You need to be active in all kinds of school campaign and be a good leader in making plans ahead of time. You need to show and build a huge human fellowship.
Being a teacher is not easy because you need to learn on how to deal and handle different personalities
I need to highlight this fact. If you are a teacher, you need to get ready facing different personalities. If one of your student is like an angel, very behave and obedient all the time then here comes the student who is born an evil, very resistant to all the things you want them to comply. So it's not the same chickens inside the box. As a teacher you need to be the one who will learn to adjust in different kind of situations.
Being a teacher is also being a mother or a father to your students, inside the class you need to find ways to make everyone fit in. You need to be creative to capture your students' attention. You need to consider the way they retain information and you need to be kind in times when they are coping different life challenges.
So to the people who are saying that being a teacher is very easy, I want you to try being a teacher inside the week and manage all the different kind of students inside the day. If you are a short-tempered person, then it is harder for you to survive being a teacher. A number one needed for being a teacher is to be considerate and kind to your students as much as possible. Being a teacher is brave and noble. It's a great life devotion if you took the field of Education and signed your career as a teacher. The cycle may be the same for you in teaching but the students will never be. Different faces and different personalities each year is already a big challenge because you don't know what kind of student you might be dealing next.
I have even question myself if I can do it as a teacher, sometimes I think about wanting to change directions and path even though I took the Education field because what if I can't manage to lead the class but then I have realized that I need to learn the essence of being a teacher in order to become one and I know that it's not easy as counting 1, 2,3 because we don't count students by their names, we count them by their determination and abilities to succeed in life.
