A sad and heartbreaking morning everyone. Supposedly, I'll be publishing another article today. However, this morning, I just received a bad and good news in our Grade 12 groupchat.
I am still shocked and worried and so, I don't know how to start this article.
By just reading the title itself. I am sure that you are already aware that I badly need your help. May it be through prayer or financial. However, I would appreciate it more if it is done financially. I know, I sound a bit demanding in this one but I have to swallow my shame and wear a thick face. I am not the kind of person who would ask help from other people if I know that I can make a way. Asking financial assistance from others has been always in the last part of my list. With that being said, you, reading this, means that I have no other options left.
Just like what I have said, I received a message this morning in our GC. Here's the screenshot of it.
"Good morning everyone. Thank you for the people who prayed for my cousin Regine. He's already stable and can move his body. I just want to ask for your prayers to meet our financial needs for his hospital billings. We need Php. 140,000 or $2,731.42 for his operation and that excludes other expenses such as his medicines. Please help us pray for it."
Our former classmate which happens to be the patient's cousin in father side, sent this message to the GC. Upon reading the message, I feel worried for Regine because he is my third cousin as well. And I couldn't deny the fact that the two of us were closed back then. Anyways, if you are confused, Regine is a boy.
I told Christine (the one who announced the news), that I am going to send her a private message.
The message was a bit long and so, I'll just translate the main point or important details.
"Last Saturday morning, they brought him to the St. John Hospital of Dr. Pilay. And they found put that he has an appendicitis. Immediately, Dr. Pilay referred him to SPMC or the known public hospital here in Davao City. Regine's mother begged Dr. Pilay to conduct the operation but the doctor decline and they were sent to SPMC afterwards. However, when they arrived to the hospital, they weren't given the proper attention and care and that worsen the situation. His appendix burst and complicate things. Well, I am sure that we all know how dangerous it is right? They brought Regine back to St. John and their uncle talked Dr. Pilay in private. After that, the doctor already agreed that he will be doing the operation. Regine had been swab test and tested negative. Saturday night, they didn't know that Regine was already having a hard time breathing and in critical condition. His surgery was scheduled at 9:00 am in the Sunday morning and the surgery was finished at exactly 11:30 am. However, the problem isn't done yet because the doctor only gave him till 3:00 pm in the afternoon. He must wake up before the clock strikes to three. Thank God that he was able to wake up before the given time. They fervently prayed for him that time and so happy that God heard their prayers. Now, they are so worried on where to get that big amount of money to pay for the hospital bills, operation and medicines."
I told her that I'll try my best to help and asked her if its okay if I'll make an article out of Regine's situation to accumulate any amount of money that can somehow help them.
Thankfully, she agreed to it and that is why, you are reading this now.
Any amount would be a big help already. And every earnings that this article would generate will be given to Regine's family. Thank you guys. God bless you all.
You can send some to my wallet intended for this.
