The pandemic created havoc in the whole world since the spread of the Corona Virus in the year 2020. It can be remembered that the said virus hit the country in late January of the stated year and the government announced a selected lockdown on several parts of the archipelago in March 2020.
Provided that statement, it cannot deny that it seemingly alters the normal systematic routine of all the people around the planet. With that being said, the alteration doesn’t exclude the operation and services of multiple executive departments of the Philippine government. And one of the most affected is the education sector. Due to the said crisis, the education sector has to find ways to continue to provide and extend learning to the students most conveniently and safely.
Therefore, the Department of Education (DepEd) has decided to implement the new normal form of education which is modular learning. This has been commonly used by public primary and secondary schools. Learning through printed and digital modules appears to be the most favored distance learning option for parents with children enrolled this academic year, according to a poll done by the Department of Education (DepEd). Taking into account that not all of the students have gadgets or internet connections for them to be able to adapt to the online class type of learning modality.
Teachers would distribute a set of modules every week and give students a specific timeline on when to pass the given self-learning modules. This allows the students to work on their activities according to their own pace and comfortability. However, despite that, there are still several students who fail to pass their respected printed modules in time which often leads them to be caught up by an overlapping set of it. Of course, multiple sets of modules will make the students panic and will eventually lead to low-quality answers.
To address such concerns, me and my co-researcher decided to focus on identifying the factors affecting the students from submitting their modules on time. After we will successfully identify the factors, we’ll immediately proceed in proposing solutions and recommendations to solve the said issue.

Maybe you are a bit confused about this article of mine. It’s a bit more formal and serious than my usual write-ups, right? It is mainly because of the reason that this is the first draft of our Classroom-based action Research topic rationale that I made. Since I have no topic in mind, I have decided to share it here and ask for your opinions about this one. I am open to constructive criticism hihi. But don’t worry, this draft has been revised already.
