Water hyacinth is one of the most noxious weeds in tropical and subtropical regions, and many attempts have been made to eliminate or control it (see Environmental impact below). Harnessing its considerable productivity is considered as a sustainable and possibly less expensive method of control. Water hyacinth can be used as a vegetable, fodder, green manure, compost and mulch for soil improvement. Much research has been devoted to its use as a feed material for many classes of livestock. In South-East Asia, integrated fish-pig-water hyacinth farming systems have been developed in order to increase global animal production: water hyacinths grown in fish ponds have higher nutritive value (higher protein content) and can be fed to fish and pigs in different forms. Fish and pig manures fertilize fish ponds and provide nutrients to water hyacinth (Yang Huazhu et al., 2001). Animals are usually fed the aerial part (leaves and stems without the roots) or only the leaves, but sometimes the whole plant (root included) is used. To practice downward dog, start kneeling on all fours, then with an inhalation, straighten your legs and lift your hips to the ceiling so that your body is in an inverted “V”. Relax your head down, look back toward the navel, and try to straighten your legs while pushing your heels toward the floor. Strengthens the upper body The stabilizing position of downward dog strengthens muscles in the arms, upper back and shoulders. Elongates the spine Downward dog is a partial inversion, so the usual downward pressure on the spine is reversed and your vertebrae are realigned in a gentle way. Strengthens hands, wrists, and fingers Because it is a weight-bearing posture, it will strengthen your hands and wrists and help prepare you for other postures where there is a lot of weight in the hands. My grandma made this for me. Recipe for this Muffins: 4 cups flour 4 teaspoon baking powder 4 Large eggs 1 and 1/4 cup of sugar 2 teaspoon essense of your choice 2 cups milk 1 Cup Vegetable oil(Cooking oil) Method Pre-heat your oven at 180 degrees. Cream(Mix) sugar, eggs and oil, add essence and milk and continue to mix. From another bowl mix the flour and baking powder together and add to the wet ingredients one cup at the time, mix till smooth Pour the mixture into greased muffin pan and bake till golden brown( you can also use paper cups) Trust me! You’ll love ito.
