@Queen001

I'm 7days old - first week on read.cash 11th of December, 2021. Count your blessings and name them one by one they say, that has been the case since joining this wonderful platform 7 days ago. After being introduced to this platform by @Abhay a few weeks back, I never thought I could last for 3 days, not to talk of a week. I was like, is it possible? and will I be able to do this? But here I am. I know quite alright that I haven't gotten there but I have an assurance that I can do more and even better. Writing about 600 and more words article everyday is never a child's play. I salute all my ancestors that have been in this for a while, I doff my hat. I'll still mention all of you in this article. I can't believe I have been writing 600 word articles as advised by @carolinacardoza for the past 7 days and still counting. This is me here celebrating my small wins and not bragging. My 17 Subscribers Just like the @Jumper-01 article during the week that I read and engaged on "What's a King to a Man". Although I value the sponsorship deals, I value the fact that you made a move to sponsor a newbie like me. You made me rethink if I wanted to stay lazy, because I have it in my mind that I must not disappoint my amazing sponsors.  Nigeria read.cash community/Forum If you're looking for a home, this is another home from home. @Queen001

Winter 10th of December, 2021. After the harmattan I witnessed this morning and the constant falling of crypto now, I have concluded that my December is going to be neat as anything, as detty December is not in my dictionary anymore. I won't be going out that much, it will just be majorly an indoor season for me. My last article was about the new season we are in now, which is Harmattan season.  It's About Harmattan, which is a very dry, dusty easterly or north-easterly wind on the West African coast. It takes place from December to February. When harmattan starts, you just know it's the end of the year already Introduction However, there is a season called "Winter" as well. Winter occurs majorly in European countries while harmattan is majorly in West African countries. It is the time when the sun is lowest in the sky, resulting in short days, and the time of year with the lowest atmospheric temperatures for the region. Before we move further, let's see my definition of Winter; Check out my precious sponsors Winter Winter is the coldest season of the year, in the northern hemisphere from December to February and in the southern hemisphere from June to August. The northern hemisphere countries are; Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Ukraine, and the United States.  While the southern hemisphere countries are; Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay Explanation The difference between these two is that harmattan is a dry cold season, with dry and dusty air while Winter is a wet cold season. The winter season brings a variety of adverse weather conditions. Some of the things experienced is; heavy snow, ice accumulation, freezing temperatures and wind chill. This is the season when you start seeing cars, houses, roads and so on covered with snow. It's one of the beautiful seasons. It's more like shorter days and longer nights, except that it causes influenza which means common cold, if exposed to it. These times are always challenging for some kinds of jobs, for example sports lovers, especially football. Snow will keep falling and they must be out there for their training sessions and match day lives. Matches are only stopped and rescheduled when the condition is really adverse. It's a season of extreme cold, when snow falls like rain. Steps needed to cope and stay safe in Winter Season *Cardigans and covered clothes* -  It's best to wrap up warm and dress in layers by wearing a head warmer, gloves and scarf, socks and so on. This will shield the body from unnecessary colds especially when outside. *Avoid taking alcohol to keep warm* - It's very dangerous and unadvisable to take alcoholic content to keep the body warm. *Make sure you're heated up always* - Apart from wearing warming clothes, heater facilities should also be utilized. As proposed and established by the Government, a heater is part of basic amenities to have for each house. Therefore once you're in the office, car, house and so on but not outside, always make use of the heater. Also, check your heating and maintain the temperature, so as to avoid being too cold and knowing one's temperature. *Take warming food and drinks* - Cold foods and drinks should be avoided. Warming food and drinks which will make one sweat out and keep the temperature warm is encouraged. Fluids like hot tea, pap, custards and so on are needed in seasons like this to keep the body warm. *Engage in regular exercises* - Regular exercises like jumping, running, squatting and so on is compulsory for the winter season. This will make the body more productive and agile. These are exercises that can be done indoors and not necessarily going outside to observe them. Yes, today's Friday, the start of the weekend. I hope my weekend will be productive. There's really not anything special I'll be doing, but I'm more delighted that Christmas is fast approaching and just some days away. Thank you for reading!

@Queen001

Harmattan  9th of December, 2021. I was really hyper active and at the same time happy last night, when Chelsea Football Club drew their last group game in the Uefa Champions League which will make them face either of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid or Paris Saint Germain Football Club in the next round, whilst as expected FC Barcelona are now in the Europa league after a 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich. The last time FC Barcelona were in the Europa League was 21 years ago. However, getting up from bed this morning, I started feeling somehow in a particular way. The only time I do have this feeling is December/January. It's the harmattan season, in the abroad, it's the Winter season over there. Before I continue, let's see the meaning of harmattan. Check out my amazing sponsors. Thank you so much! @Officialrosh1 thank you for becoming my newest sponsor. I'm really grateful. Harmattan Harmattan is a very dry, dusty easterly or north-easterly wind on the West African coast. It takes place from December to February. Harmattan always originates from the sub saharan desert with dry wind. When harmattan starts, you just know it's the end of the year already. One of the few things that shows it's Harmattan season; *Blurry cloud* - Harmattan makes the cloud not clear, that is blurry even in broad daylight. And this most times causes accidents even on the road, because road users don't usually see long distance users but only user close by *Dry cold and dust* - This is the period you'll start seeing people on cardigans or different wears to shield cold. There is also dry dust, this as a result of the wind *Dry lips and skin* - Different kinds of lips will start surfacing these times. Many lips will be so dry to the extent that it gets really softer and starts bringing blood as a result of little or no touch. The same applies to skin too, many skills will change to white as a result of dryness of the weather. *Health issues* - People always have problems with their health during this period, because they (Africans) are not used to anything cold which will mix with dust and all. This however brings about health issues like cold, catarrh, cough and so on *Dry or sore Throats* - As a result of the dryness in air and weather, this leads to the throats being dry as well and sore. Throats are meant to be always fluid filled or greasy not dry. How to deal or cope with Harmattan season; *Cardigans or covered clothes* - The cold in this period is always excessive, therefore, it's advisable to wear clothes that won't allow cold into one's body. Socks and gloves can also be used, also a mask to prevent dust. *Application of lip gloss* *and shining body cream* - Applying non shining body cream is not the best, one should get shining cream and rub well on the skill, this is to prevent dry or hard skin. Also lips gloss on the lips to prevent the dryness of the lips *Take Water and hot fluids* - Bottle of water should be carried along wherever one is going to this period. Hot fluids like tea, pap, custards and so on is really recommended these times Take your bath with warm water, as not to increase the chances of the cold entering the body. Moreso, eat hot foods during this period and avoid cold ones. *Avoid injuries* - injuries these times are always painful and do have a slow healing process. It is best to avoid any injury related work or play. NOTE Harmattan season, especially in Nigeria have always experienced fire outbreaks in this season. In the time past, even till last year Harmattan, there were many cases of fire outbreaks at different big markets. It is understandable that the season enhances and triggers fire outbreaks, regardless, safety precautions can be put in place to prevent these occurrences. I really cannot say this event won't still occur this year, because it has always been like that. I hope all goes well and I wish everyone and families safe December and January. I'm so happy, it's still the countdown to Christmas. I can't wait any longer. Thanks to everyone one that's been reading and engaging, y'all are the best. Thank you for reading!

@Queen001

Relationships and Networking 8th of December, 2021 I still can't believe it's 16 days before Christmas, the feeling, the joy, the atmosphere, I just cannot wait. This is the season of Love, let's all endeavor to show love to friends and family, check up on them, buy gifts for people, be nice and all of that. Today was restful, as I was indoor throughout and at the same time preparing for my industrial training which I will start next week. Today, I'll talking about relationships and Networking There is this saying or popular quote that "no man is an island of himself". This is just the plain truth, no man can actually do things all by himself without the assistance or the need of other people, it is practically impossible. Whether in school, farm, offices, community and so on Check out my wonderful sponsors By the way, @Abhay thank you so much for the becoming of my sponsors. You're greatly loved Let's continue, Explanation of some examples; For instance *In a school* - A student cannot do without his/her colleagues, no matter how brilliant or rich such a student is. It might be when he/she needs information or clarity on something and so on. *Working on a Project* - This can be said to have covered all, even if you are rich or born with a silver spoon, when working on projects like building construction, social events and so on, you will surely hire and work with people, even though you will still pay them. First of, let me define what relationship and Networking is; although they have almost the same meaning Relationships This is the way in which two or more people or things are connected, or the state of being connected. Networking This is a way of interacting with people to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts. The importance of relating to people cannot be overemphasized. I can say the only person that does not need a person or a group of people is the dead. Even the dead will still need people to pack such bodies and work on the burial and all. Which means relationships with other people are very important. To move far in life or attain a desirable height, you need people to connect you, that is where networking comes in. Even the more privileged amongst themselves, do not play or joke with relationships among themselves. This will make them all move along and not to be left out of any opportunities that might be on ground. My life experience on the importance of Relationship and Networking Some years back, I guess after my second attempt or thereabout of trying to gain admission to my school and it didn't work out not because of bad results but of some other issues, I needed to at least process the admission to my second choice which was being proposed by my Dad, because I was not bothered.  Application to that had already closed, I meant the application Portal to the school was closed already, but throughout networking or the relationship my Dad has with the Senate members of the school, the portal was opened for two hours just for me. I was really surprised that day, till today when I think about it, I'm always wowed.  That was the power of relationship built right there. I have heard many experiences of people also who got jobs or offers through someone they have built relationships with over time. How to Network or create relationships *Attend seminars* - Attend the kind of seminars you know the kind of people you want to Network with will attend and after such seminars, meet with people, exchange contacts and all.  *Meet new people* - In your offices, schools, churches, anywhere. Walk up to people you feel have or have got the potential of whatever you want. Create relationships, network and never look down on anyone. *Utilize this Christmas season* - As we all know that this season is about love and all of that, use this opportunity well by reaching out to friends, families and every loved ones. NOTE Be reminded that not all will think the same way as you do. It's just left to you to be focusing and know the reason for doing all of these Thank you for reading!

@Queen001

Wives and cooking in family gatherings or social events 7th of December, 2021. It was never easy for me and on me last night, my smooth night was disrupted as my football team lost. I was really pained to the extent that I could not eat before I slept, because, I cannot imagine a side that lost 6 of its last 7 games, drew one, then met with my team and defeated us. Yes I know that was not the first time Arsenal Football Club would disappoint, but that yesterday's really got me. But thank goodness, I woke up on the bright side. There is this industrial training I'll be undergoing or I should have started yesterday, but I haven't because I haven't settled where to do it,  but finally, I saw a green light this morning as to where I'll be doing it. It's an engineering Industrial training course. For those thank might not really understand what industrial training in short IT is; My wonderful sponsors Industrial Training For engineering students, it is a training engineering students undergo to learn and are equipped with basic engineering practical knowledge. *Here in my school, for engineering students, it's in 3 phases.*  The first one is called SWEP; This is done immediately after the end of second semester examination, by the 200L students, that is 200L going to 300L. The school will post each and every one of them to different workshops for a period of 8 weeks, that's two months. These ones are not paid as instructed by the school, except in a few cases where the trainer is considerate enough or the company is rich enough to sponsor such a student. The second one is called SIWES; This is for the 300L students going to 400L after the completion of their second semester examination. These ones have the privilege to choose wherever they want to have it done, although if any is not found, the school can still post. These ones are also not paid as instructed by the school, but in most cases get paid. It last for a period of 12 weeks, that is three months The third one (last) is the actual Industrial Training; This is for the 400L students and it is immediately after their first semester, which automatically means there is no second semester for them inside the school, but outside, at their respective industrial training centers. This lasts for a period of 24 weeks that is 6 months. School does not post at all, respective students are expected to find a placement themselves. Earning is quite compulsory here and those that work under the federal government are paid after completion of the Industrial training. NOTE The school used in the above context is under the umbrella of ITCC( Industrial training coordinating center), they supervise and are in charge of anything Industrial training in the school. Students are also given logbooks and graded at the end of it, followed closely by grading. *Very Quickly* I have a particular question or clarity I wish to seek regarding a particular question. It goes thus; *In a family, should wives be part of those that will cook in any family gathering or events? Is it needed? Can't caterers just be employed to do the needful?* My Opinion I know in an African setting, it's a necessity if I'm not mistaken, but as for me I don't think wives in a family should do cooking Everytime there is family gathering or social events, caterers should be employed, that's what they do and very specialized in it and will give exactly what is wanted. Instructions should only be given and there can be supervision as well, but participating in the cooking is a big No for me. That was my opinion right there, I'd like to have yours as well in the comment section. I want to specially thank and recognize my newest sponsor @CandyBoy . Blessings to you, thank you so much. Thank you all for reading!

@Queen001

The habit of smelling good 6th of December, 2021. Monday, yes it is. The first official working day of the week. Most people do not always like Mondays, the reasons are not far-fetched. Monday is the day after Sunday and a working day at that, people do not like it because after the whole weekend vibes or party that stops on a Sunday, Monday comes in. I even saw @Abhay post online, where he said we have three types of stress;  Monday Thank day after Sunday Today😂 Every employer of any Organization or companies do not joke with this day, even business owners, traders, skill acquired jobs and so on. This is because most believe again that whatever happens or let me rephrase, that your whole week will surely look like your Monday. That's why you will hardly see any of these people joke around in their offices, shops and so on, on a Monday. I do not know if this theory is right or if it's just a superstition. But I strongly believe that Mondays should be productive  Remember that on Saturday, I said I was not feeling too strong, because of my health, guess what? I can boldly say that I am 95% fine now. Thanks to everyone that cared and for the different advice, it really worked and I do not take it for granted @Princessbusayo @Amazing-grace @Fexonice1 @King_Gozie @carolinacardoza and lots more. *About an article I read two days ago* @Fexonice1 talked about how his family were all down and all. I hope they're all getting much better now? I pray for strength. @Fexonice1 is a very good and nice person, one of my favourites writers on read.cash. You're indeed blessed. Check out my wonderful sponsor Today, I will be talking about everything that entails "smelling nice". People have different perspectives on this. I have a couple of friends that always preach the gospel of smelling good. On one very day I had to sit and ruminate on it. Is it indeed needed? What are the benefits therein?. Steps to take?. Definitions *Body Odour* This is an unpleasant smell that comes out of the body *Deodorants* Deodorants are substances applied to the body to prevent or cover body Odour due to bacterial breakdown of perspiration in the pubic areas, armpits and other places where hair grows or hidden body parts. One sure thing  is that, as an adult, smelling in a type of way is inevitable. Smelling good is for everyone, not until a type of smell starts coming from you. Although, once an individual starts entering the puberty stages and all, a type of smell tends to come with it which is natural.  Some of the major steps needed to be taken to smell nice. *Bath twice* - It needed to have a thorough bath in the morning as early as possible after waking up and also at night, after each day. This will help to wash away every dirt or sweat on the body, as these are what causes body Odour. You can have showers in between depending on you, but the two major baths are so important *Applying Deodorants* - there are different types for example, roll on, body spray, perfumes and so on. This should be applied after each bath and before going out. This helps especially people that engages in strenuous works that will require them to sweat. *Shaving of pubic hairs* - These are places dirt can stay and as such should be regularly shaved to avoid accommodation of the dirt which will be about ours. Advantages of Smelling good *Self confidence* - There is this type of confidence you will have if you smell good, you can hug or receive hugs from anyone, you will be able to converse with someone, and the person will be ready to listen to you. There was this lecturer of mine in high school. Whenever he passes by, everyone, myself included, will be eager to perceive the smell because it feels good. Although deodorants should not be too much *Attraction to the people* - Everyone will be attracted to you, of the same sex and most especially of the opposite sex. There are many times I get compliments from men that I smell good and wish to get my contact, likewise I have complimented people too. There is particular smell you perceive and you would want to know who the person is My Opinion and Recommendations It is very essential to smell good, it is a necessity. I have met with people that said they do not like putting things on their body. Deodorants should not be applied on the body, that's just it.  Deodorants are relatively cheap and also expensive, for those that might be thinking in this manner already. There are deodorants you'll get as low as $1.6 and will be very okay. You do not have to be that rich before you can purchase one and can be gotten in difference supermarkets and shop outlet I'd recommend a smart collection amongst all other good deodorants that are available. And if you know some other ones, you can feel free to share in the comment section. Let's journey together in this habit of smelling good. Thank you for reading.

@Queen001

The end of an era - finalists commissioning *5th of December, 2021.* Happy Sunday!!!! Everything that has a beginning must surely have an end. This was the case today at CASOR UI, it was the finalist commissioning. Finalists Commissioning Sunday is a day normally set aside to honour all final year students of the fellowship. It is more like a send forth and sending the finalists into the Alumni body. The commissioning on Sunday is part of finalists week which started on Thursday with variety night Friday with finalists prayer service, Saturday with the picnic, then today the commissioning. The commissioning did not start smoothly, as it started with no sound, this was because the sound system is always rented, but due to some unforeseen and unavoidable situations, it was not on ground before this morning. The sound was finally put in place after the Praise worship and confession had been made. Testimonies Testimonies from the finalists came up thereafter. Over 20 of them gave testimonies, lots of emotional moments rolled in. Many said the same thing about how they never thought they could make it out or graduate from the University having started with very low grades, it was really a tense atmosphere, many cried like a baby.  Flashback This however made me remember where I worked. During last year covid-19 lockdown, it was a really big business, in which I was made the supervisor. But after spending 7 months there, school resumed and it was time for me to leave. The night I left was really an emotional one because I cri like a baby, something I never thought could happen to me. I have always been curious about what always makes people cry during send forth programmes and all. Because I experienced it, then I believed it's real and this solely because of the deep love and sacrifices entailed. Dance and Song Ministration Dance was the next event that happened, it was a lovely moment as all of the finalists were seen in different shades of gangster costume, it was an electrifying moment. They danced to a particular Miracle titled song. Also it was song ministration time. Good performance filled with spirituality from them after rendering an Amapiano Gospel song. I was really surprised because that was my first time listening to that. I have heard trap Gospel songs and all but not the newly popular Amapiano genre. Awards and Gifts All of the finalists were given one or two gifts. The more the unit you were or how functional you were, the more the gift you will collect, it has always been like that in CASOR University of Ibadan. Awards came after. All the finalists committee members were awarded for serving in a particular position such as chairman, Vice chairman, General secretary and so on. Also awards were given to finalists of the set, take home to mama and papa, best dressed and all. Sermon. Sermon closely followed, by Pastor Eigbe Emmanuel. He used Ephesus 2:10; for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should work in them. He used it for all but mainly for the finalists, discussed and told them about real  life after school. He however prayed for them afterwards and prophesied to them all.  The service ended after some prayers and people started saying their goodbyes through hugs, prayer, exchange of contact and so on. I also hugged a few. I'll surely miss Odulate Feyi and Ogbuka Chioma amongst others Thank you so much for reading!!!! I want to specially recognize and appreciate my first and only sponsor yet @Amazing-grace Your ways are surely prosperous. Also, I'm open to many sponsorships. Thank you all

@Queen001

What my first Saturday of the month of December looked like. *4th of December, 2021.* It's another beautiful Saturday to behold, I woke this morning thinking I would be strong than the past 5 days, unfortunately, I was not.  Why did I say this? I have been dealing and battling with malaria, cold and catarrh at the same time for the past 4 to 5 days now. It hasn't been easy on me. This all started after I left school for home, having finished my exams last week. I think I was exposed to dust and probably cold. Even though self medication is really bad and also not in my ideas, there are some situations where you find yourself glaring at what is going on. That is the situation with minias well. Actually, I have been using procold tablets for the past two days, still really clear result, I was really worried Instead of me undergoing a thorough rest, I was literally disturbed throughout. This was solely because of the Hall of Residence election that was held today, different knocks up and down on the door, shouting and pleading. I actually understand them from their point of view, many have really invested time, finances, efforts, emotions and all. It is just for today and no more. I had plans to go out to different places today. The two major places are church meetings, one is AUCSF meeting, AUCSF means Assembly of Unibadan Christian Students' Fellowships, it is the mother of all fellowships in the University of Ibadan and the combination of all fellowships as well. The other one is the meeting of local fellowships CASOR, which means Christ Ambassadors Students' Outreach. But I couldn't because of my health. Since I couldn't go out, I had to transfer my energy to cooking a special delicacy. This delicacy took me about 4 hours to prepare, YES 4 good hours. The special delicacy I have been talking about is White Rice. After preparing that, all my energy was gone, so I had to  eat  well and sleep to regain my energy. When I woke up, I went straight to the common room to watch the match between West Ham United and Chelsea Football Club. The place was Crowded, as there is nothing short of my expectations, since it's a Chelsea match. After the game, everybody do Moody and some angrily because Chelsea lost the match I left there immediately to sort out how my health is going to be restored. I went to my clinic to get drugs to use. Fortunately for me after using this particular drug, I can feel a sense of betterment immediately. I'm really just happy because, health is really underrated. "Health is wealth" and I don't joke with my health, especially now that it's December, it should be a detty December. I met with some of my male friends today, we gossed, laughed and also had a nice time. I watched the remainder of the last premier league football matches, that is, the game of Liverpool and also that of Manchester City. Actually, I was supposed to go for a Tech worship in my faculty also. I couldn't go, but I sure followed up throughout because I could hear the sound even from my hostel. Lastly I had to prepare for her following day, which is Sunday. I ironed my clothes and also cleaned my shoes, Tomo being the first Sunday in the last month of this year i.e December. This is to sleep and wake early. *Importantly* I want to specially thank everyone that has been showing me love and engaging with my articles ever since I joined and started officially yesterday. Thank you sir much, you all are the real MVP. My Introduction - first post on read.cash *3rd of December, 2021.* I really feel so excited and overwhelmed joining this great and hope raising community, also, writing my first article on read.cash, after observing and learning a lot underground. This is a dream come true for me, it is of great Joy I uploaded my first post, to have joined thousands of users on this platform. I should have written this about two weeks ago, but I had second semester examination in my school, so I couldn't. The school is actually known for academic excellence, whereby any student who fails to meet the academic requirements would be asked to withdraw. You want to know the higher institution have been talking about, read further. My name is Jewel, an adult Nigerian. I reside in the Southwest region of Nigerian, Osun state to be precised. I am presently a 400L undergraduate student of the premier University in Nigeria. I reside on campus, Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall of Residence. My discipline is Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. I like writing, dancing, reading some certain books. I have so much interest in journalism, entertainment, music and so on. My favourite colours are grey, black and most importantly not too shouting colours. I love Sports generally, but I love football most importantly. I'm a fan of Arsenal Football Club. I love women and they love me too, everybody likes women right?? I got to know about read.cash through a friend @Abhay . It all happened one night, just after I published an article on the department's press website. I'm privileged to be the Editor-in-chief of the department. @Abhay chatted me up and told me he loves the articles always been published on the press websites, then introduced me to read.cash. In his words, he said it's a platform where you can do what love or learn about, which is writing and also earn. He explained all I needed to know and here I am today with my first article on this wonderful platform. I really love the idea of read.cash using Bitcoin Cash BCH as a form of earning, an electronic cash payment system. It's a crypto currency that is faster and even cheaper than Bitcoin BTC. Also, there's no need for middlemen such as banks and brokerages, no matter how huge the amount. Things I hope to achieve on Read.cash I hope to learn more and shape my writing skills; For a very long time, I have been looking for a platform ad beautiful as this to express myself with no pressure, enjoy myself and also earn by doing so. To impact lives; I do not just want to write for the sake of it, but my article making a big impact on every reader or hearer of the article After observing and reading some articles on this platform, these are some of read.cash users that I look up to for now. I hope to have them as mentors and learn from their wealth of experience in writing. @Abhay @McRonald @Fexonice1 @Greatwolfman @Freedom007 @BCHouseVE @Bitcoincashking @Princessbusayo @QueenRaay @MarcDeMesel @HappyBoy @Olasquare @King_Gozie @Cogamedia @bmjc98 @janejane @carolinacardoza In conclusion, I want to say a very big thank you to @Abhay for telling me about read.cash.
