Happy Sunday!!!!
Everything that has a beginning must surely have an end. This was the case today at CASOR UI, it was the finalist commissioning. Finalists Commissioning Sunday is a day normally set aside to honour all final year students of the fellowship. It is more like a send forth and sending the finalists into the Alumni body. The commissioning on Sunday is part of finalists week which started on Thursday with variety night Friday with finalists prayer service, Saturday with the picnic, then today the commissioning.
The commissioning did not start smoothly, as it started with no sound, this was because the sound system is always rented, but due to some unforeseen and unavoidable situations, it was not on ground before this morning. The sound was finally put in place after the Praise worship and confession had been made.
Testimonies
Testimonies from the finalists came up thereafter. Over 20 of them gave testimonies, lots of emotional moments rolled in. Many said the same thing about how they never thought they could make it out or graduate from the University having started with very low grades, it was really a tense atmosphere, many cried like a baby.
Flashback
This however made me remember where I worked. During last year covid-19 lockdown, it was a really big business, in which I was made the supervisor. But after spending 7 months there, school resumed and it was time for me to leave. The night I left was really an emotional one because I cri like a baby, something I never thought could happen to me. I have always been curious about what always makes people cry during send forth programmes and all. Because I experienced it, then I believed it's real and this solely because of the deep love and sacrifices entailed.
Dance and Song Ministration
Dance was the next event that happened, it was a lovely moment as all of the finalists were seen in different shades of gangster costume, it was an electrifying moment. They danced to a particular Miracle titled song. Also it was song ministration time. Good performance filled with spirituality from them after rendering an Amapiano Gospel song. I was really surprised because that was my first time listening to that. I have heard trap Gospel songs and all but not the newly popular Amapiano genre.
Awards and Gifts
All of the finalists were given one or two gifts. The more the unit you were or how functional you were, the more the gift you will collect, it has always been like that in CASOR University of Ibadan. Awards came after. All the finalists committee members were awarded for serving in a particular position such as chairman, Vice chairman, General secretary and so on. Also awards were given to finalists of the set, take home to mama and papa, best dressed and all.
Sermon.
Sermon closely followed, by Pastor Eigbe Emmanuel. He used Ephesus 2:10; for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should work in them. He used it for all but mainly for the finalists, discussed and told them about real life after school. He however prayed for them afterwards and prophesied to them all.
The service ended after some prayers and people started saying their goodbyes through hugs, prayer, exchange of contact and so on. I also hugged a few. I'll surely miss Odulate Feyi and Ogbuka Chioma amongst others
Thank you so much for reading!!!!
I want to specially recognize and appreciate my first and only sponsor yet @Amazing-grace Your ways are surely prosperous.
Also, I'm open to many sponsorships. Thank you all
What usually make people feel emotional when leaving a particular place is because of how great and love shown to such person is. One wouldn't want to leave because of the comfort he or she has there. So, it's bound to happen.
Same thing with a lady who is getting married, she would cry because she is leaving her family and uniting with her own family.
Congratulations to the finalists. I can't wait for mine in few months time 🤸🤸
