Wait! Do not misquote me upon seeing the title of this article. I am not here to change your mind on how you see things but reading it to the end will give you an insight on what I really meant entirely.
Not every problem wants prayer is different from "prayer can solve all problems" if you can just read that phrase again but don't worry, let's keep reading to understand more.
We all believe that every problem needs prayer and nothing more than prayer. If all problems needs prayer, then I don't think Counselors, Psychologists, Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers etc would exist.
Let's see some scenarios;
A mother was frustrated seeing her only son who was in Primary school taking the last position in class. She was so concerned that she went out to seek for help from different clergymen. They told her to keep praying which she kept doing but no changes came around.
It was her friend who recommended a lesson teacher to her. After some months, the boy was doing excellently well in his academics. The boy only needs attention which wasn't given to him in his school. If she hadn't heed to her friend and believe she will keep praying until something happen, she will be there forever.
A student who want to come out in flying colors but do not read and end up praying from morning till night. Do you think when he or she writes an exam, will pass? God will not come down to read for such person. This is why we say "heaven helps those who helps themselves".
An individual who wakes up early in the morning feeling hungry and do not have food at home, looks up to heaven and say "I need food, God please send food to me". We remember in the days of the Israelites when God rained down Manna for His children, that was in the old days, not now that you have to work before you can eat. Even the Bible says "no food for a lazy man"
God can only send help to a person when you have taken a step to make it work. You can't sit at home and expect food to appear in your room. At least you can still try making some calls to people who God can help you through them.
Another is having an eye problem and Instead of visiting and optician, you are in your room casting out the demon in your eyes. Lol
I was having an eye problem two days ago and I knew I need to rest. What if I pray and still keep on pressing my phone, do you think I will be relieved?. Before I slept that night, I believed it would be okay and it was. I didn't only pray but I took action of pausing every activities that might affect my eyes.
A couple who keeps fighting everyday needs a therapist to counsel them and give them the best therapy. If you keep praying for God to intervene in your home without taking some actions, you will keep praying and praying until you are tired.
I watched a movie and a lawyer was called for a situation in a secondary school, the girl was caught with two boys in the toilet. The principal got mad at the situation and had to expel the student. When the lawyer came around and listened to what happened, she embraced the girl and told the principal "she needs help" but the principal said "no, she needs prayer"
On their way going, the lawyer asked what happened? She said she doesn't understand too because whenever they touch her, she wouldn't be able to control herself.
Many people conclude that prayer is only the way whereas the problem might need some attention from an experienced person. The girl was taken to a therapist who found a therapy that can work for her. The girl even explained her story how she was abused when she was a young girl. She was molested and raped continuously, she became used to it but couldn't open up then as she was threatened. She couldn't control herself again. That was her problem.
God also wants us to take some steps too. If not, there wouldn't have been Doctors, Psychologists, and the likes. Prayer without action is nothing.
In life, we need to develop a coping mechanism for our situation and don't think going to the mountain and praying always is enough. Take actions too.
The Bible that says you should pray without ceasing doesn't mean you should stay all day, locking yourself indoor and tear yourself into prayer. If you don't take action, God will just be looking at you.
For every problem, there will always be a solution after prayer, the solution is to take action and expect the best from it.
If Robert Kiyosaki, Oprah Winfrey, Elon Musk, Bill Gates and many more successful personalities didn't take action and only rely on praying and praying, do you think things would work out for them today?
Okay, what about you? If you hadn't taken the step to come here to work but keep praying in your closet for money to come, do you think it will be so?
Everyone wants Miracle to happen without doing anything. The fact is, if you do not take actions, nothing will be done. Don't be lazy to pray only. Don't be like a fool who sits on the floor asking for a miracle to take him upstairs when he can easily climb the staircase available π π
Thank you for visiting my blog again. I appreciate it so much
God won't do for us what He has already given us common sense to do no matter how much we pray. He is the God of order so He is not a magician.
You want to write an exam, study and pray. Prayer cannot substitute for the place of what you are expected to do. It's pure logic and process. God sets the order of things for a reason.
You want to travel out of the country, apply for a visa... You can't solely rely on prayer without taking the needed steps. God cannot be mocked.
