Adieu August

It is the end of the month. I am not sure what happened with August but I am mighty glad, by God's grace, I am alive and well. I had a good short "talk" with a long time friend last night who is now living in a different time zone. No, we did not do video call. So by "talk" it meant tapping the keyboard and sending lengthy messages on the messenger. That way, we can still "talk" to other people while talking. I sent her a memory from the other social media where I tagged her years ago. It was a prayer-related post which we kind of got reminded of because it was recently answered with a two thumbs up by God for her. If I remember correctly, it was 11 years ago. This kid I've known from church. We practically "grew" up with many other what we call "*siblings from another crib with a different set of genes*." I have witnessed how her life was blessed and changed by God's grace. We have had a lot of gastronomic conversations and coffee about any topic we can think of under the sun - laughing at how weird our humanity is and sharing how awesome our God is. We've battled prayers together with the rest of the other siblings -them school stuff, me boss stuff and other areas of our lives from family to career to dreams of having our own families eventually.

I am way way way blessed with these awesome people. Very much encouraged by them. ..Do check them out and their works!! They are fantabolous human beings with awesome stories!

Since we also live on the same street, it was easy for us to call for coffee sesh in Arbucks ( signage had the S and T busted so that is how we call it). Our topic last night was to "Keep Asking". I happened to also review my journals in the past years and I did stumble on my note when I was encouraged by God to "Ask For More." She was encouraging me to circle back on the prayers I have received a "wait" and "no" from God and start asking again. So I would probably be making a mental list of the waits and no's. Maybe you'd want to give it a try, too. Hehe We were talking about being persistent in the area of prayer. It was another refreshing encounter talking to another old friend though via messenger. It was a meaty conversation after all. I have talked about time in the previous article. I am amused at the variety of people I meet through life and their *timing* as well. It seems that they were placed at that proper time in that proper stage of my life. ***Impact for impact.*** That reminds me also of how amused I am with this platform and the people I "meet" and connect with. Amusing timing! Not sure if any of this makes sense to you but hey... ***hello!.... coffee?*** *My friend excitedly recommended a book : "The Circle Maker: Praying Circles Around Your Biggest Dreams and Greatest Fears".
