Today I will bring you some basic concepts for those who want to enter the world of trading.

Altcoins:

Altcoins are all those cryptocurrencies that are not Bitcoin. They arise from other blockchains and generally their value is reflected by the seriousness, security, development and confidence in the project.

Among the best known are Etherum, Cardano, Polkadot, Steem, Neo, Nano, Theta, Algo, among others. Currently there are more than 8400 altcoins listed on CoinMarketCap.

Stablecoins:

Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies created so that their value remains stable. In order to keep the value of the cryptocurrency stable, they need to be backed by fiat currency, commodities, or other financial assets.

Their creation is related to the objective of controlling the high volatility of the crypto market, thus achieving a stable value over time and facilitating the adoption of cryptocurrencies in commercial operations.

Trading Pair:

A trading pair is a trading strategy that allows traders to trade cryptocurrencies for profit in uptrending, downtrending or sideways markets.

The pair symbolically represents the currencies traded, for example; BTC/USDT.

Bagholder:

This term is used to describe an investor who holds an asset whose value declines until it becomes practically zero. The bagholder stubbornly holds their positions for a long period of time through which the value of the investment becomes practically zero.

The bagholder does not realise that his acquisition is a failed investment and instead of worrying as an investor about making a profit he worries about minimising losses, in the hope that at some point his underperforming investments will regain some value.

It makes for investor psychology.

Hold:

Hold is an investor who retains the holding of their cryptocurrencies for a long period of time, without selling them.

It is a very common investment strategy in the world of cryptocurrencies for those investors who have no knowledge of trading.

To adopt this investment strategy does not require much knowledge other than security to preserve them.

Sats (Satoshis):

The smallest part into which a bitcoin can be divided. The name refers to the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

Bear / Bearish, Bull / Bullish,

The terms Bearish and Bullish refer to trend-related market situations. A bull market would be a bull market and a bear market would be a bear market.

Investors who believe in their cryptocurrencies (or assets) and behave optimistically are Bullish investors. They think that the price of their assets will go up.

Investors who faithfully believe that the price of shares and behave in a totally optimistic manner are said to be bullish investors. That is, they believe that the share price will rise and will have paid for the right to buy the shares at a specific price known as the strike price.

The bear investor represents investors who believe that the value of their assets will go down and pessimistic investor attitudestheir attitude as an investor is pessimistic.

Bear / Bearish, Bull / Bullish,
