11. Old Orchard Beach, Maine
History and tradition mark the nostalgic atmosphere on Old Orchard Beach in Maine. Welcoming visitors for more than 170 years, the seven-mile space offers beachgoers the only waterfront amusement park in New England.
Sitting on four acres of first-class property, Palace Playland Park has a Ferris wheel, a huge arcade and more than 20 attractions for both children and young people. While Mother Nature has taken its toll on various restored versions of the park, the restored pier stretches 500 feet into the Atlantic Ocean and is the center of family entertainment. Fireworks light up the sky at least once a week (check the calendar). Rescuers are on duty during the season.
Whale watching or bird watching tours are nearby. Golf is available at the Dunegrass Club, and Amtrak offers a convenient Downeaster to avoid traffic and take you a few steps to the beach after a leisurely trip. The shores of Old Orchard Beach are literally lined with hotel options. Sea View Mini Hotel is great for families walking to the beach. It offers free Wi-Fi and parking. For those looking for a little more luxury, the Beach House is right on the sand.
12. Hampton Beach, New Hampshire
Tourists looking for a nostalgic experience on a beach like Coney Island will be in the sky on Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. Deep chatter plays along with popular tunes in cars that delight along the strip. The central part of the district is a promenade with a shell, resembling a huge barn with silos at both ends. The 750-seat pavilion attracts a wide variety of performers throughout the summer and makes this true blue pet even more appealing to Hampton Beach fans.
Families will see value in a place that offers an active summer entertainment calendar and additional attractions. Sand sculpting competitions, beauty contests, talent shows and food festivals appear on the calendar. Fireworks light up the sky in the middle of the week, and family concerts delight everyone with a full list of social events.
Although there is no promenade as such, too wide a sidewalk leaves enough space for walks or walks, depending on your mood. Across the boulevard shopping areas are tattoo parlors, arcades, cotton candy, ice cream and restaurants, if you need to relax from the space of beach umbrellas lining the sand. After all, who doesn't love a little pleasure from guilt next to their salt water at least once a summer?
One thing you will find in abundance is an apartment that fits every wallet. Staying a few blocks from the water will be desirable for those who want to get away from the busy and hectic "scene". From family playgrounds to luxurious and traditional - there is a property that is suitable for any budget. Ashworth by the Sea, one of the oldest hotels in the area, offers a luxury boutique. Lamie’s Restaurant and Old Salt Restaurant are located a few miles from the ocean and present the traditional New England experience at its best.
