WHOA! WTF is up with Noise? What is this new Noise.app stuff all about? Do y'all still get tips for your posts? Does anyone remember me? Yeah, I disappeared last spring. I was determined to find, and verify, a way to make money using crypto, and wasn't going to post again until I discovered one. Needless to say I've been spectacularly unsuccessful. (To date I've lost about $3,500 USD!) DEFI has mostly been a huge disappointment for me, as I sunk money into one rug pulling project after another. But there is one project that **may** be viable, Novatech. The catch to it is you'll have to invest at least $600 or so to start out with, ($1000 would be better), and this has to be money you're WILLING TO LOSE if, like most of these internet sites, Novatech turns evil. If you're interested, check out this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3oe1YJsSwg . So how have the crypto markets been treating y'all? Has anyone actually been making money, or is everyone following my example, and losing money?

My Struggles With The Gemini Exchange Continue Not your keys; not your crypto! (We need to keep repeating this to ourselves over and over and over and over.) If you read my prior post, https://noise.cash/post/1q9j6wqg ,(hey, does copy-paste no longer work on noise.cash, or am I doing something wrong?), you know that Gemini "froze" one of the accounts I own with them for ..... well, for "reasons" which to date they have been unwilling to tell me. It has been almost a week now with no response from them, so just today I filed a complaint against Gemini with the New York Attorney General's Office. I'm not holding my breath, but hopefully the NY Attorney General's Office will encourage Gemini to "unfreeze" my funds. Gemini boasts about how compliant they are with the laws of New York state, so maybe a complaint filed with a regulatory agency will prompt them to act? Unfortunately, like most legal systems, the legal system of the USA is heavily influenced by money, of which Gemini has vastly more than I do. Fortunately, I don't have a whole bunch of money locked away in this account, just about $1,300.00 , which is enough to be painful, but not enough to cause me grievous financial harm. What I am much more worried about is my other account held by Gemini. It is a Roth IRA which I opened via DirectedIRA, and currently contains about $7,000.00 . Losing access to that account would really, really suck! Disturbingly, when I explained my current difficulties with Gemini to the folks at DirectedIRA, they were less than sympathetic or helpful. Because of this, I will need to transfer my money out of that Roth IRA, which is something I do NOT look forward to, as it is a considerable nuisance.
Beware of GEMINI Exchange!! Not your keys; not your crypto. I've been using the Gemini exchange for several years, and have kinda liked them, particularly their "earn" feature. Well, until today, 04/Oct/2022, that is. They just completely, with no warning or explanation, FROZE my account, and when I reach out to their support, I am asked to submit some ridiculous photo, (selfie + original ID + note with handwritten date), to prove .... well, I haven't a clue what they are trying to prove. Maybe that it is time I stop using them? Attached is a portion of the email support sent me telling me what I needed to do to get my account unfrozen. I submitted the photo, and as expected, they rejected it, saying that, "After reviewing the photo uploaded, the quality of the picture does not allow for the details of your ID to be legible." So I sent two more photos. We'll see if either of those meets their criteria. In the meantime, I can't even close my account, as I have no way to access my funds! When folks tell you to beware of these centralized exchanges, THEY ARE NOT KIDDING! Leaving your crypto on a centralized exchange is just a disaster waiting to happen.
"Investing" In Crypto Back in March of this year, I put about $6,000 USD into various crypto. I had this crypto stashed in various wallets and exchanges, so to keep track of everything I created a spreadsheet which I update monthly. As of March, 2022, combined with all my previous crypto investments, my crypto holdings were worth about $10,200 USD. As 2022 lumbered along, I continued to add to my crypto stash. I would guess that over the course of the year I invested another $4,500 or so into crypto, waiting (in vain!) for the darn bear market to become bullish again. So, as of the end of August, 2022, what are my crypto holdings worth? $14,000? $16,000? $10,000? Nope, those silly things are now worth a measly $8,800. That's a LOSS of value over the course of the year of about $6,000, or about FORTY PERCENT!! Whipee! Let's invest in crypto, everybody! It will surely make us rich! (NOT!!) To be fair, I believe the long term outlook for crypto is very good, but if you need a return from your investment NOW, I'm afraid you would be screwed. The silver lining to this cruddy cloud is that maybe a prolonged bear market will finally shut up those stupid BTC maximalists? Maybe, but those folks are remarkably thick headed, so they will probably cling to their maximalism forever. :-(
By The Way, Martel.Club was a SCAM!! Smarter folks than me instantly realized this, but it turns out that a site I had mentioned as a possible place to "invest", ( https://noise.cash/post/lprm070w#l246mm7v ), was nothing but a scam, and took our money and ran off. I lost about $85 to these jerks. I hope y'all were smarter than me, and did not give them any of your money.
Hey Old Bastard, Why Are Your Tips So Shitty? What's the deal with you? Why are you giving people only a penny? Why? Two reasons: 1. I'm hardly getting any Free Tips anymore. That's why I've been absent from this platform for a few weeks. It's no fun to play here if I can't get Tips to give out. 2. When I give out Tips via the QR code, half the time my computer hangs up! Add to this the fact that I'm at heart a cheap bastard and hate giving out MY money to interact on a platform, and you may be able to realize how unappealing this is to me. However, as the attached pic demonstrates, not everyone is suffering from a lack of resources from Noise.cash . I don't know who @keroro is, and I can't read the language s/he writes in, but I admire the cash s/he has accumulated with this post. Hooray for @keroro! May s/he carry BCH to new heights of recognition!
Proof You Don't Need To Be Big And Strong To Be A Bad Ass Warrior Consider Rose Livingston: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rose_Livingston . Read her Wikipedia entry, and be amazed. If I had a tenth of that woman's courage, I'd consider myself a pretty solid dude. But I am what I am, and must use my meager abilities as best fortune allows. Maybe someday, in the great hereafter, I will meet Rose, and I will have the opportunity to carry her spears and arrows for her as she continues her fight to vanquish evil.
Promoting BCH While not all of us can actively promote BCH, (personally I've done almost NOTHING), we should recognize the efforts of others who are promoting BCH, and do what we can to appreciate their efforts. Here is a video from the son of one of our Noise.cash users, Ms @Ugmayor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnO9gtTUuQ4 . Wouldn't it be great if widespread adoption of BCH in Uganda helped alleviate that country's poverty?
DeFi vs. CeFi A pretty good video was just posted to YouTube giving a good overview of the difference between CeFi and DeFi. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v1qj3_mq6s As someone who has some crypto "invested" with BlockFi, (worth about $1,000 USD at the moment), I certainly hope they don't go bust like Celsius. But the key to being safe IMHO is DIVERSIFICATION.
Why I'm Hungry All The Time *** UPDATE: Well crap; nevermind! @chikspere13 pointed out that these fish are actually galunggong, which aren't bad at all. (I just ate one, including the head, and it was okay.) They were fried, not cooked in vinegar. As for "stinkiness", they don't really have much, so accusing them of being stinky was a false accusation on my part. In my defense, I have a bad head cold, so my sense of smell is way, way off. *** See the first pic. In the Philippines, these stinky little fish are lunch. In America, they would be bait. Thank God I like rice! Now a question. A great prophet, whom many consider to be the incarnation of God, once performed a miracle wherein he took a small basket of fish, such as these, and had them somehow mysteriously multiply so that the multitudes who had gathered to hear him speak were all fed. Would those fish, being a gift of God, still taste so awful?

Martel.Club Might Be A Good Choice For Everybody Hi folks. These past few weeks I've been searching for alternative ways to earn some money as crypto continues to belly flop, (see Note below). Hopefully I have come across one that all of us can participate in. The site is called Martel, and is one of those places where you give them your crypto, and they pay you back at a high interest rate. Now before y'all start bellowing that I'm just trying to promote the latest scam, keep these facts in mind: 1. Martel accepts initial investments as low as $5 USD! This should make it affordable to everyone. 2. The minimum payout amount is $1 USD! 3. Your crypto is locked away for a very short time, as short as 10 days. 4. At the end of the "contract period", you get all your initial investment back. 5. There are no referral links in this post. To join Martel, you may simply go to https://martel.club/ . Here is a good video on Martel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvzuyYrhfv0 . Actually, Crypto HYIPs 2022 has an interesting YouTube channel. You may want to check out some of his other videos, https://www.youtube.com/c/LinkedinCoach/videos . ================================================================= Note: Check out the second pic. All is not lost regarding crypto! Notice that USDT, USDC, BUSD, and even DAI are holding their peg to the US Dollar, despite rumors of **whales** attacking these coins and trying to depress their value. Hooray for stable coins!

Morning Giggles and Cool Sign (Stolen from Quora.com, which is also the source of the cool sign: https://qr.ae/pv4H8p .) A family went to a nudist camp for their vacation. The young son came back to the tent and said, "Wow, Mom! You should see some of those girls. They've got these HUGE..." "Yes, well," his mother sniffs. "The larger they are, the dumber the woman." Next day the boy comes back to the tent again. "You wouldn't believe some of the guys out there. They have these HUGE..." "Yes, well, like I said, the bigger they are, the dumber the man." "Really?" the boy said, frowning with puzzlement. "We might be in trouble, Mom." "Why, honey?" "Because Dad's out there talking to a really stupid girl, and he's getting dumber by the minute."
What Has Old Bastard Been Up To? What have I been doing recently, as I obviously haven't been on Noise.cash? To put it succinctly: losing money! Amongst other recent disappointments, the DeFi pools in ThorWallet turned out to be money losers, and ALL THREE arbitrage DeFi projects I invested into rug pulled in May. Add in crypto's recent declines, and the stock market's big dump, and it's been an awful year for my financial portfolio. But ever the optimist, I have plunged back into two DeFi projects, which, if and ONLY IF they actually turn out to be profitable, I will write about here on Noise. https://gimmethecash.blogspot.com/2022/07/how-are-my-investments-doing.html
Goodbye Technoblade https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPMluEVUqS0 YouTuber and Minecraft player Technoblade has just died at an early age of cancer. (F*ck stupid cancer!) He was a really cool dude, as you can tell by just watching a few of his videos. He seemed to have a good sense of humor. Here is a "funny" video he made about possibly having his arm amputated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG1Q1ouemVA . My older son says he was possibly the best Minecraft Championship players of all time, and if not the best, certainly one of the top three. I would never have heard of this guy if it weren't for my son, so I thank him for that. RIP Technoblade.
Why Are So Many Crypto "Entrepreneurs" Nothing But Assholes? If you liked Mr. Do Kwon and his UST/LUNA antics, then you are gonna absolutely love Mr. Alex Mashinsky, and his collapsing "not a bank" enterprise Celsius. Check out this latest YouTube video from Coffeezilla, (who is a gift to humanity, by the way): Why Celsius Fell Apart, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nVG8PF4ECU . Good ol' Alex seems to be quite the common scumbag criminal, once you take a closer look at him. May he get an incurable case of crotch rot! It's a great video which I of course highly recommend watching. An added bonus, at least for me, was that I finally got to see the guy behind the Upper Echelon Gamers YouTube channel, who has a cameo appearance in Coffeezilla's video, and previously on his own channel had published at least three excellent videos describing Celsius's troubles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTmzBk_2H2M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQQVAugAlME https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzBYQ72w-uI So how bad are things getting with all these "investment opportunities" based on crypto? While shameless scammers are still pushing flagrantly corrupt Ponzi schemes on YouTube, (e.g., FireHustle, Yada Crypto, Crypto Hunters, ad nauseam ....), honest folks like Crypto Casey are advising folks to HODL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsEG5rpYKeU . I hope the malaise doesn't spread to BlockFi and Gemini, because if it does, I could lose quite a bit of money, particularly in the case of Gemini. I am counting, (hoping!), on the fact that Gemini operates under the strict regulations of the state of New York to protect my investment there, but if they are exposed to third party risk, (why does ALL the crypto world seem connected?), I'm not sure what could happen in a worst case scenario. HODL, HODL, HODL!!
A Bored Ape NFT Conspiracy? I've never been a fan of art NFTs, particularly the ones that fetch a hefty price tag for a simple cartoon image. WHY people would pay the money they do for such a dopey thing has bewildered me. What is it about these NFTs that am I missing? A video has recently been released on YouTube that suggests the reason for high price of the Bored Ape NFTs may be that hidden messages are being passed back and forth via these simple images. If you're willing to follow a theory down a convoluted rabbit hole, then check out that video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRPHZQFuT24&t=938s . Do I believe that there is a connection between the Bored Ape Yacht Club and clandestine Neo-Nazi organizations? Probably not, but then stranger things have recently happened. If four years ago you would have told me that nearly the entire world will soon be placed under a lockdown, with enforced vaccine mandates, to fight a disease that escaped from a lab, I would have told you that you've been watching too many movies. Likewise, if you had said that a leading superpower's citizens will chose an old man with the obvious beginnings of dementia to be their leader, I would have laughed in your face. Guess the jokes on me? I screen captured some "Bored Apes" from https://opensea.io/collection/bored-ape-nft-collection . As you can see, they are hardly major works of art. On the other hand, some of the "Bad Girl" NFTs ( https://badgirls.app/ ) could have potential! :-)

What Are Your Plans For The Near Future? Our money ain't worth squat anymore, stock markets around the world are falling, and as for crypto ..... well, I shouldn't have to repeat what a disaster it's been lately. (Thanks in no small part to shaky characters such as Do Kwon!) But rather than gnash our teeth and wail, "Oh woe is me!", we should pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and CHANGE OUR ATTITUDE, as we come to the realization that bear markets are a great time for patient investors, and in fact are the time when many large fortunes had their humble beginnings. To get you in the proper mood, here is a nice video from Crypto Casey where she talks about our "Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity" to make some really big profits in a couple years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AiK5ebNkZU . All I would add to this is to diversify. The recent LUNA/UST collapse should amply illustrate the dangers of putting all your eggs in one basket. (I would even diversify outside of crypto, but that's just me.) Be strong, folks, and keep the faith!
Well Poop! I think the pic kinda says it all. And to think that I used to believe stable coins, (real, asset backed stable coins, mind you!), were kinda stupid. Now I could kiss the figurative ground their figurative little feet walk on.
Why I Have To Stop Posting/Replying Now 1. Our internet access SUCKS. 2. After just giving out a few tips, I'm already out of Free Tips. So to continue, I'd have to give tips from my wallet. In other words, I'd have to pay to continue using Noise.cash . No thanks.
Never Trust A Bank! You can NEVER trust a bank, or the banksters that inhabit them. Don't believe me? Then watch this video: $50 Million Stuck in Swiss Bank (Horror Story), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdsMwoNe82g . Even though I assume most of us haven't even accumulated our first million yet, (or first half-million, or first quarter-million, or first ..... well, you get the idea), we should all be experienced enough now to know this stuff.
Coinflex.com Is A Really Cool Site! I have to thank user @stewbits for this tip, as before today I had no idea that coinflex.com even existed. It's a site where you can convert a USD (more commonly known as USDC), token into a FlexUSD token, and earn interest on it, just for holding it in your wallet. Flex USD is supposed to always be redeemable 1:1 back to USDC. What's really cool is that you can apparently also create a FlexBCH token, and store these Flex tokens on your SLP wallet! Now you should go to the website and check all this out for yourself, because quite frankly a lot of what they are doing there goes way over my poor old head and aged brain. But for some of the smarter folks here, Coinflex may be a neat way to earn some extra income passively and securely. Before you invest in Coinflex DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. Please remember that I am just some random drooling moron writing nonsense on the internet, and if you had listened to me two months ago you would have lost money on Swapnex, Cryptos OTC, and MetaFiYielders. You've been warned!!
He Will Help Fund Your Pegasus Account The man in the pic, known on YouTube as Crypto Mentor99, ( https://www.youtube.com/c/CryptoMentor99 ), claims that if you open a Pegaus account before midnight, Monday, June 6th, using his referral link, he will give you $25 USD. See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jkMiI-RrCA . Should you care? That's actually a good question. I've just come off losing money to three crypto Ponzi schemes, yet I am still looking for ways to earn passive income. (A fool and his money are soon parted, eh?) I recently joined another "solid" money making opportunity, Novatech, but the minimum amount for that to be worth bothering with is about $500, which is out of the reach of many people. On the other hand, if you join Pegasus before midnight, June 6th, the minimum investment amount is $50. Add in the $25 you are "supposed" to get back from Crypto Mentor99, and you would only be risking $25, which seems a reasonable amount to gamble with. Now if you are down to your last $25, and you "invest" it in Pegasus, I will track you down, stomp on your feet, and kick your household pets. THIS IS A HIGH REWARD/HIGH RISK investment. Paying out 1.5% per day, day after day, seems highly unrealistic. If Pegasus isn't just another Ponzi scheme, I'll be shocked. If you're gonna give some money to the winged horse, please keep your wits about you. You will need to get your initial investment back ASAP, so that you can let house, (horse?), money linger in your account, and hopefully drastically increase in value. Good luck!
Be Careful Using Kraken! (And Other CEXs too?) Yesterday I sent $300 worth of crypto, (a nontrivial amount for me!), to an address I had saved for Kraken. After several hours it had yet to show up, so I contacted support. Their response is copied below. What I had done is copy and paste several crypto addresses from my Kraken account, so I could simply open a text document when I wanted to send money to it, rather than go through the hassle of logging in. Unfortunately, apparently Kraken can expire any address at any time, making the idea of saving addresses for future use a dangerous practice. Well phooey! Do other CEXs do this as well? To Kraken's credit, their support response was quick and accurate. I can't say the same will happen for other CEXs. (Yes, Coinbitch, I'm looking at you!) This is yet another experience using crypto which is making me like cryptocurrency less and less. Given the events of the past few weeks, with scammers flocking to DeFi, (did any of y'all get hurt by the LUNA/UST debacle?), I seriously starting to doubt whether crypto is a good investment, or whether it is just something for techie geeks and criminals to play with. ================================================================= Thank you for contacting Kraken. After reviewing your account we can see that you have sent these funds to an expired BTC deposit address. Typically, addresses will only expire once you generate more than 5 deposit addresses. The oldest address will expire until you are left with a maximum of 5 addresses. However, there may be some circumstance, such as a change or update to our deposit processing systems, in which your addresses will expire prematurely. We would advise you to always check if your deposit address is still listed on your deposit page before sending funds. You will however be relieved to know the funds are still safe and the deposit should credit sometime within the next 8 weeks. In future please ensure you deposit to an unexpired address as we can't always guarantee funds to expired addresses will be recoverable. Deposits to expired addresses also will NOT show on the funding page of your account but will have a record available within your balance and ledger history.
A Really Good, Inspiring Tale Amongst all the crap we have to keep experiencing recently, (crypto markets remaining sluggish, DeFi scams proliferating, soldiers, civilians and students being shot and killed around the world, and now "Monkey Pox"! WTF!!), it would be nice to hear some good news occasionally, if for no better reason than to restore our faith in human nature. May I present to you the story of Nicholas Winton: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRgE6ld6WVM .
Don't Forget To Claim Your Gooddollar! Gooddollar is a FREE way to get a wee bit of money online. It's like a faucet, except much less of a hassle to use. Sign up here: https://wallet.gooddollar.org?inviteCode=3hWRsqniWh&campaign=basic . Yes, it's a referral link. What else would you expect from an Old Bastard? Besides, if you have a psychological or religious aversion to referral links, (if so, why?), then in the link above just lop off the "?" and everything that follows it. I learned about Gooddollar from one of the fine folks here on Noise, but I can't remember who. If you were the Noiser who referred me, please respond in a comment, and put your referral link in it. Gooddollar is one of those "Let's save the world!" idealistic type endeavors, as you can see from their "official signup hype" below. I'm much too selfish to care about all that, but I still mess around with it for the free money. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you believe in economic inclusion and the distribution of prosperity for all, then I invite you to sign up for GoodDollar and start collecting your daily digital UBI. There Is No Pilot Was the crash of LUNA/UST inevitable? If Do Kwon wasn't such an arrogant jerk, could this disaster have been prevented? I think I just found crypto's current theme music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CL2a8fos5NI . If you browse through the pics, you can see that some folks thought the collapse of LUNA/UST was not only inevitable, but could be easily triggered. And as always, Do Kwon arrogantly labeled anyone who disagreed with his assessment of LUNA/UST being unassailable as a fool, or "poor". I guess in his world not having lots of money is a disgrace. Well, he better get used to it now!

Sifting Through The LUNA/UST Crash If you have any interest in crypto at all, you've undoubtably noticed that LUNA and UST have recently crashed horrifically, wiping out $32 billion, (or $45 billion?), or so of assets in a few days. Even if you were not invested in LUNA or UST, (mercifully I was not!), this crash will have lingering effects on your ability to make money in the crypto markets, because besides suppressing the value of all cryptos, it provides a huge opportunity for governments to step in and regulate all things crypto, in an effort to "protect us". (Ha, ha.) It's a disaster even if you didn't lose a significant chunk of your savings. So how did this disaster happen? The first theory regarding the LUNA/UST meltdown is that somehow "bad actors", (George Soros?), discovered a flaw in the system, and exploited it for their own gain, unconcerned with how their actions would affect the rest of the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLkXJeWFWr0&t=97s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CutSymg94I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MI6mWUMQOw8 On the other hand, other folks, (notably Coffeezilla), contend that Do Kwon knew all along that he was simply promoting a Ponzi scheme. Bitconnect 2.0? A trio of interesting Coffeezilla videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLa6CSDIrTk , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVanuXZedbs , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwqSiU4ryek . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4bdbEisy9g&t=5s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HJ2gmwSp7M What do I think? Anchor Protocol, which was the main way money funneled into LUNA/UST, was undoubtably a Ponzi scheme, but was its inevitable collapse destined to bring down LUNA/UST with it? There are many, many more questions than answers regarding this sordid mess. The sad fallout for all of us is that confidence in the ability of crypto markets to regulate themselves has been shaken, perhaps fatally, and we should expect to see much more government interference in the future. :-(
God Works In Wondrous Ways! About a month ago I sunk some money into six different DeFi projects, hoping that at least one would pan out and I would "strike it rich". These six projects were: 1. Baked Beans 2. Turd Burglar 3. Cryptos OTC 4. MetaFiYielders 5. Swapnex 6. Thor Wallet Now to be honest, Turd Burglar was just a satirical site created by Justin Pratt, ( https://www.youtube.com/c/JustinPratt1/videos ), so I put money into it just to help him out, not expecting much, if any, return from it. But from the other five I hoped that at least one would pay out, particularly as various YouTubers were posting triumphant videos of how much loot they were raking in from each of them. How has this worked out for me? Baked Beans. Despite putting twice as much money into it as Turd Burglar, it has done a little worse than the site created to mock it. Phooey! Cryptos OTC. This site appears to be pulling a soft, gradual rug pull, as whenever you request a withdrawal, you never receive the confirmation SMS. (Shaky, huh?) But all other functions on the site appear to be working. MetaFiYielders. These dorks pulled a hard rug pull, as their site no longer works, at least for me. Swapnex. Another set of dorks, another hard rug pull. Their website, https://swapnex.io/ , now redirects to https://cotps.net/#/ . WTF?? Thor Wallet. Despite being recommended by several YouTubers I respect, I have lost about half of the money I put into this stupid app, despite assurances that you will "never lose money" using it. So what can we learn from this painful lesson? 1. NEVER trust what you read or hear from random sources on the internet. (That would include me!) If you can't verify something in "real life", then you have to assume that you may be basing your actions on at best faulty info, and at worst outright lies. 2. God is really great! I've been working away on these sites, (mostly COTPS), for over a month now, hoping to get a nice payout which I could then show to y'all as PROOF that these sites pay out. Can you imagine if I had joined COTPS a few months earlier, generated some nice profits, and then wrote a post about it? I know some of y'all are hurting for money, so I would have strongly encouraged you to join what turned out to be just another Ponzi scheme. That would have been disastrous! I don't like government and I hate regulations, but like it or not regulations are coming to the crypto world largely because of the actions of stupid shit heads that run scam sites like these. And if you think what happened to me is bad, (I only gambled with money I was willing to lose), consider the massive train wreck that is the Luna/UST meltdown. By the way ...... there are rumors that Do Kwon, (aka Kwon Do-hyeong), knew all along that Luna was a Ponzi scheme, and just pulled off the biggest crypto rug pull of all time. But that topic deserves its own post.
Oh Poop!! Is COTPS.com Starting To Rug Pull? It's been a rough time for the crypto world recently. Besides the overall market bellyflop, we've had some folks get wiped out by the Luna/UST collapse. It really would be nice to hear some good news regarding crypto. Well, unfortunately, I do NOT have any good news to report right now. In fact, it appears that a site I've had high hopes for, (and have been fixating on for over a month), the once wonderful cotps.com, has just gone rogue. Due to an "issue" with an SMS server, (really?), you can not make any withdrawals at the moment. When you request a withdrawal, besides giving a password, you need to enter an SMS text sent to your cellphone. You have about 80 seconds to receive and enter this text before it becomes invalid. Obnoxiously, this text is not being sent until a good two minutes has passed. If this were truly a problem, there are so many work arounds to it that it should be fixed almost immediately. Which is why I think this is a rug pull. The folks, (criminals?), behind cotps.com are making a lame attempt to make it appear that a technical glitch is behind all the trouble, not some money grabbing thieves. I hope I'm wrong about this. Although I didn't put too much money into cotps.com, (only as much as I am comfortable losing), I've obviously enjoyed interacting with that platform. One of these days the bad news is gonna stop, and we'll all be living in a world of sunshine and rainbows again. But until then, keep the faith, and keep stacking that crypto!
OMG!! WTF is going on with the crypto markets? A 10% drop overnight? Yikes!! Thursday, May 4th is not shaping up to be a happy day for us crypto investors. I guess a silver lining, (although I would say the lining is more like rusty iron), on this cloud of bad news is that the stock market is going down too, at least in the USA. But a stock market decline, (or even collapse), was kinda expected. Did anyone expect crypto to belly flop like it just did? So what do we do now? Cash everything out, take our losses, and look for more stable investments in the future? Do nothing, and hope that the crypto market returns to sanity sooner or later? Or close our eyes, hold our nose, and gathering up any spare change we can find, buy more crypto at its current discount price, increasing our exposure to the whims of this crazy market. Contrarian and general nut job that I am, I suppose it should be no surprise what I just did. (Look at the second pic. Yes, I'm still on Coinbitch.)
