Why I'm Hungry All The Time *** UPDATE: Well crap; nevermind! @chikspere13 pointed out that these fish are actually galunggong, which aren't bad at all. (I just ate one, including the head, and it was okay.) They were fried, not cooked in vinegar. As for "stinkiness", they don't really have much, so accusing them of being stinky was a false accusation on my part. In my defense, I have a bad head cold, so my sense of smell is way, way off. *** See the first pic. In the Philippines, these stinky little fish are lunch. In America, they would be bait. Thank God I like rice! Now a question. A great prophet, whom many consider to be the incarnation of God, once performed a miracle wherein he took a small basket of fish, such as these, and had them somehow mysteriously multiply so that the multitudes who had gathered to hear him speak were all fed. Would those fish, being a gift of God, still taste so awful?

i would make a wild on the about the fish.. i think it is Tilapia or they called it St Peter's fish :) galungong is a good fish.. i think it stinks because it is no longer fresh :) but looking at that picture those galungongs are fresh :)
It was galungong, it was fresh, and yes, it was tasty. I'm just scared of fish now, because some of the fish my wife's family eats is awful, at best.
