What's Life About?

The interesting thing about life is that it happens to everyone and it varies. We all have our life stories, we all have a similar yet varying thing about life just as we all have that unifying thing also about life. Life is broad so are the experiences that life dishes out to us. We all have stories even though most people are scared of sharing theirs while I believe we also have dreams but not everyone is capable of living in that reality. As they would say here in Nigeria, it is what it is. Despite how life deals with us or favours us because I want to believe good and bad lie side by side, so we get to experience both worlds even if for some, it could be fleeting and momentarily. Regardless of what we experience about this life, we should never forget to learn from it. That's something we should all be able to relate to because with experiences comes the ability to know how to navigate through life. Life isn't easy and there are so many regrets flying around in the air. I shared a post yesterday "Question of the Day" where I spoke about my regret and hope of going back to when I was younger, so I can at least have my way and do things differently. Life sometimes gives us a second chance or many more chances and oftentimes, life doesn't. The point is that it is never too late to pursue them all.***" - @Murakamii.7 . I totally understand his point there but in reality, when we don't have to go motivational and decide to be realistic, some dreams are too late to pursue. I wish I can go and play football again professionally but age isn't on my side. Maybe I should have done that after I left University but dad's death hit us all so hard that it won't even come up in my head but rather we were focused on how to survive. What am I trying to say? I am saying we have to live and learn and that's what life is about. Life is actually the only school that would give you a test before giving you the lesson which is alien to our educational system. We sometimes feel we understand everything but in reality, we don't...not until life happens and you have to learn and relearn just by initially unlearning what you thought you knew. You will always see those who life has dealt with more than you and in case you feel you are the only one at the receiving end of life's cruelty, wait until you meet someone else. In my language, we usually say, "***You would always think your father's farm is the biggest until you see another person's father's farm.***" I guess that explains that. We all need help at some point in life and it's never a shame to ask for it. We sometimes don't get more out of life because we are not ready to learn. We get so level headed to think no one can ever teach us anything because we feel too confident that we know too much. Wait and see how life would humble you because even nature has a lot to teach us. Our ability not to learn from life makes it hard for us to get the needed strength to forge ahead because life is always teaching but we are not flipping the page nor taking time to know. We sometimes listen to respond not to know and that's why I always tell people this wonderful phrase: "***May you get more out of life than just a cup of tea.***"

I've learnt how to relate more with humans with the way things turned out when my dad died. Social skill and understanding human behaviour is something we all need to take into consideration. There are billions of people in the world so we need to know that life isn't just about our views or what we think. We need to consider others. Understanding other people's views doesn't mean you have to do them but it keeps you informed and gives you options in making a decision. You have to respect the opinion of others even when you disagree with them. Be open to the views of others, take into account the lessons in life and what nature and life's experiences are trying to teach you. I don't have to agree with what you say but you can beat your chest confidently that I would defend your right to your opinion. What do you think life is about? We have all missed many opportunities back then,if we had the opportunity to do so we wouldn't have been into the position we are in... let's just live life to it's fullest and continue it in any position we found ourselves in.
That's life which is why I said we should continue to live and learn...there are more mistakes to be made but they can be minimized when we seek to learn more. Good one, brother.
For me, life is about children. It is so important to me that my story could be used to make a movie, with a huge pile of failures, resentments, very painful reproaches (I was told directly to my face: "You are childless, no man needs you, who needs you so "empty". I silently walked away...I knew that someday there would be a party on my street, too. It took me a long, hard time to get to where I am now, yes I have a baby I've been waiting 20 long years for. And I want to tell you, if you have a dream - run to it, can't run - crawl to it, if you can't crawl, lie down and lie with your head towards your dream. Everyone has their own "cross" to bear in life, and you have no other. Don't be afraid to make mistakes toward your goal-this is nothing compared to what you will eventually get. The lessons of life keep unfolding as we keep growing and we just have to keep learning until our final moment. Motivational speakers are the problems or do I say people misunderstand them sometimes. Some dreams are definitely not worth pursuing at a particular stage in life because it would be a complete waste of time.
🤣😂😂🤣🤣 I swear. The problems some of these people have caused enh...they should be arrested 🤣🤣😂🤣😂😂. You will hear: "I graduated at the age of 14 and got my first million at 16. I became a doctor at 15." Some would even say they started reading from the womb 😂😂😂🤣😂.
Hmm, life has treated people differently, but just like you say in the last paragraph, I'm not going to say much in the comments section just to avoid a lenthy comment, I will rather make it as a post... Be expecting that. But life is own bitter side and like the sweet part as well, but always pray for the best to happen no matter how strict the journey might be

Life is a bitter-sweet for everyone. Sometimes even we are so persistent to achieve it, dreams can't still be pursue because of some circumstances. And indeed life is about that, we can't achieve all our goals and dreams. Mistakes is just part of our life and we should only used the lesson that we get from it so we avoid to make same mistakes
That's very true...we can't avoid making mistakes but we have to keep learning so we won't have to commit the same error.
If someone wants to see life as what life is all about you can't see from your own perspective only You have to see it from other people's angle as well

Life has different stories, so we must prepare for everything
We might not prepare for everything at once because life surprises us but we can keep learning as we keep going. Learning from the experiences of others help too.
So sorry for that unsolicited comment of mine. I guess I was being insensitive. But anyhow, I hope you are doing good now. And at least you wouldn't commit the same mistake some fathers did to their child and that is forcing them to do something and not supporting them to the pursue the career that they want.

Life is just like a coin 🪙 with two phase. Sometimes it will be rosy and sometimes it will be sour. Most times we don't get or receive what we want in life but the only thing I will just said is that no matter what we are facing or passing through in life we have to stay strong and stay focus.

For me life is a tree, there's a time to bloom, a time to bear fruit, a time to grow and a time to fall. Life has different stages and it's always on us on how we handle it, the decision always affects us.

It's just as you said, life teaches us a lesson after giving us a test. Lucky are those that take note of the lessons they have gotten from life and learn from it, it's part of what prepares us for more tests that we will come across later
Absolutely...it prepares us for more tests to come and if we don't learn the lesson, just like in the educational system, we might have to repeat the class...and the lesson.

Life is all about living through experiences and you cannot train for all of them. And so we just live...and experience happiness, sadness, success, failures ...and we learn from our mistakes and we move forward to thrive off the back of them. Fabulous!
