Move On...
He is everywhere, looking for you, with a loud cry, he screamed your name
You choose to ignore him, well, it might be because of your newfound fame
He used to be your all in all and now, he is just a game
Not everyone is bothered about our feelings, they move on quickly, thinking it's lame
He was only trying to love you, it's your fame, he is not trying to tame
He has always been there and with his arms opened, to another, you ran
You are only nicer to others but not to him, to others you even shared your can
Nothing he does makes sense anymore, every attempt to make you smile you ban
I guess he would go unnoticed when he was only trying to be your Peter Pan
He cried silently but he acted bravely with you because he is the man
I know better because life isn't the bed of roses
We can feel hurt but that's life; a door opens and then later, closes
We have all been dealt harsh realities of life with doors slammed to our faces
Life deals with everyone, regardless of your ethnicity and in different places
Life can be surprising and yes, life is also in different phases
A lot of people keeps pretending to the world they are strong
They keep holding back the tears so they won't look weak, they are wrong
Tears aren't a sign of weakness, your heart should feel, it's where you belong
Deep down in your heart, gather the strength and move on
Let them point their fingers at you, let them sound the gong
Life is never about who is right or wrong
You can be right but there are still lessons you'd learn for long
I have seen a lot of people hold tight to their beliefs because they want to be right
This is a recipe for more failures to come; they are compounding their plight
Because life will humble you and everything will come out of sight
There is no need to hold on to just your view so tight
It's okay to learn from others, it's for clarity and to enjoy more light
The more we learn of life, the more we become bright
Focus on those who truly matter to you - those who give value also in return
Go to where you are celebrated rather than where you are tolerated
Many will walk you out of the door and hold off the handle while at it
Offences would come, provoked and even unprovoked in this life
You don't need to be told, wait till you have your husband or your wife
The bottom line is dealing with hurt as quickly as you can, then move on...
I have noticed that many people hold on to pain for far too long as though they have been dealt with things no other person has been dealt with. We have all been dealt with by life and in different capacities too. When you hear other people's stories, you would marvel and it would keep you humble enough to know others are going through things words can never fully describe.
I've always been a silent observer and I tend to stay off and look at things sometimes from afar. If you brag about having the biggest field in the world, you only need to wait and see another person's father's farm, only then can you stay humble. Life will find a way to humble us because even God resists the proud. You cannot tell me you believe in God or humanity and let your actions speak differently. You cannot tell me you love others and yet you won't let issues go.
We live in a world where all we do is talk but there is no corresponding action to back it up. It's the same with those who have wishful thinking and yet won't take the steps to achieve their dreams. Enough with the talk because talk is cheap. Let us know who you are and it's easier because your character would speak.
It's time to move on...whatever comes to your mind while reading this, it is time to move on. It's hard to move on when the pain and the hurt keep playing in your mind and it results in resentment. It's hard to move on when you keep talking about it. The more we talk about our hurt, the farther from understanding the situation we go. We need to learn to stop talking and start listening coupled with less overthinking and there is nothing we won't understand.
Forgive that hurt, it's time to move on. Forgive him for breaking your heart too, else you would have ended up with the wrong person. Forgive her for choosing another person over you, else you would have been living with someone who wouldn't give you that attention you desire. Forgive that lecturer for failing you even though he only did it to bed you, without him, you wouldn't understand what strength truly means and how to fight for what truly belongs to you.
I totally understand situations hurt us more than others. We deal with pains and hurts differently and I am not trying to make it sound so easy. It is never easy and I have my own stories too but I would rather let go than continue to hurt. It's all about perspective and learning from everything that comes to us. Some situations can be avoided and by all means, let us but for those situations we cannot avoid, we have to learn to deal with them and it takes a strong mindset to know that we shouldn't let some situations throw us off balance.
It's time to move on... Whatever comes to your mind as you read this line, it's time to move on...

You are right. Many hold tenacious to their beliefs, some hold on to grudges for years. I know a son who according to him was offended by his father. Now he is in love with a lady and has refused to take the lady to his father, just because he has refused to forgive and move on
