Carve Your Path.

We are responsible for how we turn out and in as much as we want to blame others for their influence over us, we are still responsible for how things would go. This life is a mystery because whatever you think you know, life would happen and get you even more confused. That's okay, it's life's way of making us not feel too comfortable. We need that kick sometimes to let us know that we have more work to do.

When your health is challenged, it's life's way of telling you to relax, slow down and focus on more important things. Many people didn't know the importance of family time until covid happened. Covid and the lockdown made us understand what we have been missing because we keep putting ourselves out there and our family members are suffering. We hardly make out time for them, always hiding under the guise of "work" and now, with the lockdown, a lot of families rediscover themselves while some came to see how drifted they have been from their home because they are struggling to mend those burnt bridges.

Sadness would make us understand how truly wonderful it is to be happy. When you have ever struggled with having money and you eventually did, you would know how it feels to not have and why you need to keep pushing yourself to have more because you really don't want to go back to how things used to be. Someone joked that it's funny how the rich always work more to have and the truth is, when you have, you really don't want to go back to not having...so you have to make use of what you already have now to generate more wealth.

We have to keep pushing ourselves because life has done its part. Life has been giving us constant reminders why we need to be on our toes but most of the time we don't know it. Trust me, losing my dad made me understand how human beings are and it shaped me never to fully rely on anyone. Even so-called family members showed their ugly part but hey, that was the kick I needed to be intentional about my life.

I can remember how I used to think because of the amazing things dad did that people owe me. No one owes me anything...same with you. No one owes you anything and you have to fight for what you want in life. If you fold your arms, waiting for hand down, you can never have enough to achieve the dreams in your heart. No one owes you anything but people respond to value. You can exchange your value for the things to need just as we are all trying to produce quality content here just to be in the good graces of those who would love and appreciate that effort we are putting out. It doesn't mean they have to, no, they don't have to, but people are moved when there is something to hinge it on.

No matter how life deals with us, we are responsible because we are expected to be in charge. We might not be able to stop the bird from flying over our head but we can prevent it from having a nest there. It is pointless to sit down at the base of a mountain and cry, nothing we can do with the mountain being there but it's left to us to work our way around getting past it. This means that we can't stop life from happening but we can do something about whatever situation comes our way.

To err or fail is human but to blame others for our failure is even more human because that's one of the things humans know how to do best; blame others while absolving themselves of any part in their own failing. It's okay to fail, it's alright to fall but the question is, what are you going to do about it? Many people have fallen under the weight of pressure due to inactivity. We are responsible for our lives and no one else.

There would always be down moments just as we know that life has its ups and downs. There would be moments where we would cry while there would be moments of victory that we can trace to the steps we have taken. Of course, it is okay for us to think we deserve the best but we won't get it unless we do something about it. There is no point complaining or blaming others. We can do that as much as we want yet it won't still give us the desired success we truly want.

When life happens, we need to learn how to take a step back, reflect and strategize. The problem is most people leave everything to chance. They just want things to happen without them doing much but life doesn't always respond that way. It's not always easy because we feel differently and hurt differently too but the best way to act is to respond and not react. Your choices determine the course of your life and that's on you, no one else. It's time to take responsibility and change your narrative... It depends on how deeply you want that change of life.

This is your life, others can point you in the direction to go but you still have to be the one to decide and walk the length of it. Carve out your own path and walk in it with direction. Speed is useless without direction. There should be a goal in mind.
