It is common to wonder whether we are doing as much as we can with our lives and whether we are really experiencing fulfillment. As you deal with these questions, I am here to shed a little light on the situation. Here are seven signs that you are probably wasting your life.
YOU OVERANALYZE EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE
Are you too worried about the future? Do you spend a lot of time worrying that you can't control it?
Spend time on quiet reflection and introspection is a good process that helps you learn from mistakes and improve yourself as a person, but it can also be overthinking and over-analyzing. If you spend a lot of time thinking about your life, you can be trapped in your life.
YOU LET YOUR FEARS HOLD YOU BACK
Are you struggling with crippling feelings and fears of rejection, heartache, loss, and worthlessness?
Fear is an important and meaningful emotion. Keeping yourself away from pain is a natural feeling, but at times fear can be an overwhelming emotion and I can be a huge obstacle in your life. You can stop yourself, fear of love, rejection, and failure can keep you from experiences that can change your life for the better.
YOU FEEL DISSATISFIED WITH YOUR LIFE
Do you ever feel unhappy? Are you upset that something is missing?
Resentment is actually rooted in fear. It stems from fear of disappointing others.
Do you always disappoint yourself when trying to please others?
When you give yourself so much power to fulfill your expectations of others, you no longer focus on fulfilling your own dreams.
YOU TEND TO DWELL IN NEGATIVITY
Are you constantly making your mistakes and what's going on?
You will have successes in life and failures. It is important that when something bad happens, you allow yourself to fully accept and express those feelings. However, bouncing back, bouncing back, and moving forward are just as important.
It's easy to get caught up in feelings of sadness, guilt, and worthlessness that can cause bad feelings. However, a good way to deny negativity or trauma from the past is to use it to improve the world.
YOU THROW YOURSELF INTO WORK
Working and having a job is a part of life. It gets even better when you can find a career that matches your passions and helps you and fosters a good sense of personal growth. However, if you don't have a good work-life balance, it can affect your social life and other aspects of your personal growth outside of your career.
YOU FORGET TO HAVE FUN
Do you regret reading high school in your room? Wouldn't it be nice to remember more than what you did to enjoy?
Fun experiences stay with you, and those experiences determine who you are as a person. Enjoying life is very important for your health and well-being.
Lack of self-enjoyment can lead to a variety of mental and physical conditions, including aggression, obesity, and difficulty adjusting emotions.
YOU STRUGGLE TO LIVE IN THE PRESENT
Are you spending hours to worry about the future? or replaying events from your past that you can't change?
While all of this is normal to think about from time to time, too much ruminating on the future or the past takes away from making the most of your present
Living in the present means you are devoting most of your energy into making your current life as great, meaningful and fulfilling as it can be.
