Mama and Family Photos
It's been weeks since Mother's Day but I realized that I have not made a post about my mother, although I did post an article about my own motherhood experience, Mother's Day Special: A Poem.
So, today, let me flex my mother and share with you the photos I had taken to make sure we keep memories of her and the entire family.
My mother is already in her senior years but she is still very active. But what we really like about my mother is how she was able to raise her four children with all her might, she had sacrificed her studies, stayed at home, and dedicated her life to her kids and the family. Dedicated to her being a housewife and being a God-fearing woman, instilling into us the characteristics of God that we may follow God.
She is not a perfect mother, every one of us isn't but she had given her best to be able to ensure that we are given the utmost tender loving care. My mother got pregnant at the age of 18 and in her first year in college, she couldn't sleep well because of thinking about her child. So, even if she had to sacrifice her studies, she did and with that, she sometimes would have feelings of getting frustrated because of her not able to study yet, she had to just brush that off for us.
A mother is indeed an epitome of what we refer to as sacrificial, unconditional love, and when I became a mother myself, I realized how my mother felt towards us.
That is why, I had been exerting efforts to keep as many memories and time bonding with my mother, and my family, in general. These photos below are my favorite picture compilation together with my mother and the entire family. She is definitely the light in our home, the jewel who will continue to be our guide even if we build our own families.
This image was taken on the new year of 2022, we welcome the new year with smiles and welcome the new members of the family, her grandchildren, Matti and Amari.
This image above was taken when we were on a picnic in Cabantian Hills, just a few minutes away from home. It was the simplest picnic ever! What really matters most was that we were happy spending time with each other.
This one was taken in Tagbilaran City, the place where my mother and father used to go when they were younger back when my mother was still in high school. My father and mother met when my mom was still in high school and my father was already in college. This lovers' name is in the heart of the city where they were both studying and they usually go here to watch the sunset.
Above was when we celebrated the February celebrants of the family. We went to Tagbilaran City, had a day tour in Henann Resort, and then stayed overnight at a place in Panglao. It was a surprise for mother and father.
My nephew celebrated his 3rd birthday here and we were all enjoying the balloons and the Cornetto ice cream which were the only ones available in Panglao at that time. We also got him a cake from a coffee shop.
Here's one from when we had lunch at the Rio Verde Floating Restaurant in Loboc. It was also at that time that our eldest and his family came home from Dubai. It was a way of welcoming them back to Bohol.
Here's another photo where we spent a whole day at the beautiful East Coast White Sand Resort in Anda, Bohol. We were also complete at this time.
This was during her birthday, her birth month is August and we always make sure that we would be together as a family and spend it with each other and also surprise my mother for her birthday. The latest celebration was in 2021 when I surprised my mother with a money cake. She was happy about it.
There are still more photos of our family that I certainly cherish. Of course, my mother always thinks about our goodness. Now that she is already in her senior years, she continues to remind us of what she taught us when we were younger - the love of God and respect for them as our parents.
I will continue to live on what she had instilled in each of our hearts.
Thanks for reading! Do share your own photos too with your mom! Don't forget to check my previous articles as well:
